Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1394: Chapter 723: She Takes Action (3)

Thirty minutes later, Zhou Lan sent a version with some minor adjustments.

Although Zhou Yun’s English was very good, some of the word choices were not precise enough; Zhou Lan had specifically asked someone to adjust it.

Followed by a sentence: You know I have a lot to scold you about, right?

Zhou Yun laughed.

She said: Thank you, Sister Lan.

Zhou Yun sent the revised version to Clint Bruster, saying: They are all great actors, and I know they are definitely not acquainted with the fascist in the photo. Mr. Bruster, I hope you can use your influence to protect these young actors.

After sending it out, Zheng Xiaojue came over.

She took Zhou Yun to get styled.

After a while, Yao Yuanfeng came over looking displeased.

He saw Zhou Yun and let out a heavy sigh.

”Luckily, I still invited you, otherwise this film would have been a disaster at the premiere,” Yao Yuanfeng said, ”You must know what’s going on with them, right? What a mess! Running out to a bar to drink at night, and making such a mess. Now the officials won’t let them attend events!”

Zhou Yun glanced at Yao Yuanfeng through the mirror and comforted, ”President Yao, don’t blame them; no one wanted this to happen. But since it did happen, is there another way to solve it?”

Yao Yuanfeng said irritably, ”I’ve looked for everyone, and no one can speak to the official of the Venice International Film Festival. I’ve exhausted every means; they probably can’t attend, so I’m counting on you, Xiao Yun. Please help me hold it together! You’re my only hope!”

Zhou Yun: ”I’m the lead actress in this movie; it’s my duty. Don’t worry, President Yao, I’ll do my part.”

Yao Yuanfeng walked away with a troubled expression.

Zhou Yun didn’t mention the email to Clint Bruster.

She didn’t know if Clint Bruster could manage it, and if it didn’t work out, telling Yao Yuanfeng now would lead to greater disappointment later.

Zhou Yun checked her phone, and in the group chat of the four of them, Yin Linglin said anxiously: Are you guys planning to stay here or head back today?

No one replied to her.

Zhou Yun said nothing.

She didn’t want to give anyone hope until things were certain.

Otherwise, if hope was given and then dashed, others would feel you shouldn’t have given hope in the first place.

Zhou Yun put down her phone and focused intently on confirming her styling.

An hour later, the official account of the Venice International Film Festival issued a statement regarding the continued invitation for the actors of ”Four Killers” to attend official events, and attached the email Zhou Yun sent to Clint.

The end of the statement read: They did indeed make careless mistakes, but they are young and talented actors. As one of the world’s best film festivals, we have a responsibility to protect these actors. As Zhou Yun said, though they made mistakes, weren’t they also victims of deceit? Let’s give them a chance and appreciate the film these young people have created together.

Zheng Xiaojue just found out at this moment that Zhou Yun had sent an email to the officials.

She let out a shriek, ”Sister Xiao Yun, how kind are you? You even spoke up for them!”

Five minutes later, Yao Yuanfeng rushed into Zhou Yun’s dressing room.

He stared at Zhou Yun with wide eyes, opened his mouth for a long time, pointed at Zhou Yun and said, ”You’re amazing! Xiao Yun! I’m absolutely in love with you!”

Zhou Yun smiled calmly.

”President Yao, don’t be so dramatic, okay?”

”Why didn’t you tell me earlier that you were communicating with them about this?! Yao Yuanfeng said, ”If I had known you were willing to help, I wouldn’t have been so nervous!”

Zhou Yun said, ”I didn’t know whether my email would work.”

”How could it not work! You’re the most influential actor right now. If your words don’t work, whose will?” Yao Yuanfeng said more happily, ”Moreover, because of your email, do you know how many distributors have contacted me wanting to discuss this movie?”

Zhou Yun smiled faintly, ”That has nothing to do with me; film sales have nothing to do with me. I’m just an actor.”

Yao Yuanfeng took a deep breath and nodded to her, ”Anyway, for this incident, I owe you one!”
