Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1356: Chapter 709: People Talking on Stars

The day of return, arriving at the airport, the sky was gloomy.

It looked like it was going to rain at any moment.

Fans in the country had received news that Zhou Yun was returning home and also knew Zhou Yun’s flight details, so many organized to come see him at the airport.

Zhou Lan got the message and went early to work with the fans, handing out small gifts to persuade them to leave.

Then she picked up Zhou Yun, got into the car, and headed home.

As soon as Zhou Lan got in the car, she started complaining, ”Wow, look at you, saying you haven’t tanned much, you’ve at least gone a shade darker!”

Zhou Yun could only coax her, ”It’s not that exaggerated, Sister Lan, calm down. I’ll definitely be fairer before I join the shoot.”

Zhou Lan reached out and pinched Zhou Yun’s arm, ”But your muscles are really impressive now, you could be on a fitness magazine. How about I get you a photographer to do a photoshoot showcasing your strength?”

Zhou Yun instinctively resisted, shaking his head, and said, ”Never mind.”

”You haven’t been exposed in quite a while,” Zhou Lan said. ”You’ll be joining a new shoot soon, and many magazines have been scheduling you, especially your endorsed brands, they’ve bought several covers waiting for you to shoot.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Anyway, I’m back in the country now, I’ll definitely have time for magazine shoots, but there’s no need to specially shoot for showcasing my strength, is there?”

Zhou Yun wasn’t too keen on flaunting his strength.

It felt a bit like showing off deliberately.

Of course, Zhou Lan mentioned he hadn’t been exposed much lately and needed the exposure, and Zhou Yun understood this.

Zhou Lan said, ”We’re not specifically shooting this, your endorsed sports brand has always been scheduling you for shooting autumn and winter new collections’ commercials, the contract promised them you’d do a new ad each year.”

Zhou Yun remembered.

”While shooting for this sports brand, you could incorporate your strength into designing the ads, what do you think?”

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”That sounds good, I’m just worried that shooting specifically for my physique would feel awkward.”

Zhou Lan: ”Many female celebrities dream of having a body like yours but can’t achieve it, you have it now, yet you’re unwilling to promote it.”

Zhou Yun: ”I’m not unwilling to promote it, it’s just... sigh, it’s like taking a trophy, doing a close-up on it, and posting it at the center of a nine-grid photo, it feels awkward.”

Zhou Lan: ”...”

Back home, Song Chi was already waiting for her.

Song Chi came to the hallway, helping with the luggage, placing them aside.

Zhou Lan said, ”I won’t go in, Xiao Yun, Brother Chi, you guys rest, bye-bye.”

Zhou Lan thoughtfully stopped at the door.

Zhou Yun turned back and asked, ”Aren’t you coming in for a while?”

”No, I still have an appointment with Yuk Chu, later we’re discussing a script,” Zhou Lan said. ”After she gives birth, there’s a role I think suits her, she could act.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Alright then, bye-bye, see you tomorrow.”

Zhou Lan smiled, nodded, and turned to leave.

Zhou Yun closed the door.

Song Chi asked, ”How did you sleep on the plane? Do you need a nap?”

”Not bad, I’m not tired,” Zhou Yun said, ”I’m just hungry, finally back, I really want to eat hotpot.”

Hearing this, Song Chi said, ”Should I order delivery then?”

”Sure.” Zhou Yun smiled and nodded, showing her pearly teeth, reaching for Song Chi’s hand, ”Have you missed me these days?”

”I’ve been thinking about you every day.” Song Chi smiled slightly, ”If you hadn’t come back, I would’ve gone to find you.”

Zhou Yun hugged Song Chi, saying, ”Me too, I missed you a lot.”

Her eyes seemed to be misty, shimmering with a moist glow.

Innocent yet captivating.

...

After Zhou Lan left, she drove to Yuk Chu’s house.

She first called Yuk Chu.

”Chuchu, I’m already downstairs at your place, I’ll be up shortly.”

Yuk Chu said, ”Okay, Sister Lan.”

Zhou Lan hung up the phone, turned off the car, got out, and just arrived at the elevator when she saw the elevator doors open.

Yin Zhou was supporting Yuk Chu as they walked out of the elevator.

Yuk Chu had a painful expression, pale face, sweat dripping all over.

”Chuchu?” Zhou Lan saw this scene and turned white with fright, ”What’s happening?”

She immediately ran over to support Yuk Chu from the other side.

Yin Zhou said, ”Chuchu suddenly went into heavy labor, it might be time to give birth.”
