Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1364: Chapter 711: How About It_3

Zhou Yun said, ”I just suddenly wondered, when did I start deciding what roles I play in each show? I always thought I was easygoing and cooperative, then I realized, actually the moment I started thinking like that, I already knew I had the luxury of not being easygoing or cooperative. I knew I could choose not to be, and it wouldn’t affect me at all.”

Song Chi: ”That’s how this industry works, the greatest power and resources are concentrated in the hands of the few.”

”How’s your company going?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

Song Chi said, ”Everything is going smoothly.”

Zhou Yun: ”That’s good.”

Song Chi said, ”I’m planning to sign Yin Zhou to my company.”

Zhou Yun looked at him in surprise and asked, ”How did you suddenly come up with that idea?”

”It’s not a sudden thought, I’ve been considering it for a while, pondering its feasibility.” Song Chi said, ”My company really lacks male actors.”

Zhou Yun: ”Have you talked about this with Yin Zhou?”

”I talked to him yesterday, and he said he’d discuss it with his family.”

Zhou Yun mused, ”Actually, if Brother Zhou stopped acting, I’d think it’s a shame. When we were filming ’Eighth Heartbeat’, I felt he was acting very well, and he was very committed.”

”Yeah.” Song Chi nodded. ”I also think he’s very dedicated to acting, which is why I got the idea.”

Zhou Yun: ”I just wonder if Yuehai would let him go.”

”As long as the penalty is paid, it’s fine.”

When Zhou Yun got home, the first thing she did was nap.

She slept until the afternoon.

She opened the curtains, and the warm sunlight poured in, filling the entire room.

Zhou Yun stretched lazily.

The weather was really nice.

But it was so easy to get tanned.

Zhou Yun basked in the sun for less than half a minute before quickly turning away.

Song Chi was in the study.

”What should we have for dinner? At home or out?” Zhou Yun knocked on the study door, poked her head in, and asked.

Song Chi looked up and asked, ”What do you feel like eating?”

Zhou Yun: ”I’m okay with anything. If we eat out, I’ll wash my hair. If not, I won’t bother moving.”

Song Chi laughed.

”I’m okay with anything too.”

”Then let’s eat at home.” Zhou Yun said, ”You carry on with your work, I’ll figure out tonight’s dinner myself.”

She happily went into the kitchen and started thinking about what to make for dinner.

...

Zhou Lan heard that Xu Siyao was in Shanghai today recording a program, so she decided to meet her to discuss Huang Zicheng’s role in ’People Talking on Stars’.

Although Zhou Lan knew the chances of Xu Siyao agreeing were slim, she still needed to try.

Zhou Lan wanted to fight for an opportunity for Huang Zicheng.

When Zhou Lan went to find Xu Siyao, Xu Siyao was a bit surprised.

Previously, Xu Siyao had even tried to get Zhou Lan to be her agent, but Zhou Lan had refused.

Xu Siyao sat down in the chair in front of Zhou Lan and smiled at her.

”Sister Lan, how come you have time to watch me record a program today? Are you here to see friends and just stopping by to say hi?”

”I came specifically to find you.” Zhou Lan said, ”I heard you’re going to star in ’People Talking on Stars’?”

Xu Siyao nodded, ”Yes.”

Zhou Lan: ”Do you have any thoughts on the male lead? Any candidate in mind?”

Xu Siyao said, ”He Yong and the team are still searching, I have no idea, we’ll see. It doesn’t matter who it is, as long as I’m the lead, it will be a hit.”

She was very confident.

Zhou Lan said, ”Of course, that’s true. Siyao, I came today to recommend Huang Zicheng to you.”

”Huang Zicheng?” Xu Siyao glanced at Zhou Lan in surprise, then chuckled dismissively, ”Sister Lan, are you joking with me? You want Huang Zicheng as my male lead? Who is the big shot here?”

Zhou Lan felt a tightness in her chest.

Although she was prepared to be mocked and ridiculed, being outrightly scorned by Xu Siyao still made her anger flare up.

She suppressed her anger.

”Huang Zicheng suits the role well, which is why I came to discuss it with you. But if you’re really unwilling, then forget it.” Zhou Lan was not interested in sitting there and taking the abuse.

As she was about to leave, Xu Siyao called her back.

”Sister Lan, wait.”

Zhou Lan turned to look at her.

Xu Siyao said, ”It’s not impossible for you to make Huang Zicheng the male lead, but you have to agree to one condition.”

Zhou Lan: ”What is it?”

Xu Siyao smiled slightly, ”Didn’t Zhou Yun land a big role in a Hollywood production? I want a part with significant scenes, how about that?”
