Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 648: Chapter 476: A New System

Zhou Yun had already anticipated what she would encounter at the company today, but upon entering, almost everyone looked at her with a pitying and even overly cautious expression, as if afraid of upsetting her. Although she knew most of these expressions were well-meaning, her mood was still somewhat affected.

She could only pretend not to notice and walked inside as usual.

Upon arriving at the conference room.

All the executives of Chengqian Entertainment were present.

When Zhou Yun entered the conference room, everyone looked towards her.

Aside from her, today Li Ci, Xu Siyao, Wang Jing, and some other famous artists from the company were also present.

This meeting had been arranged early in the morning. Coincidentally, it was the day after the Huayu Award ceremony, who knew that ”Heart Inquiry” would face a devastating defeat at the Huayu Awards.

Zhou Yun did not want to hear everyone’s consolation, so after entering the venue, she did not take off her sunglasses and directly walked to the seat with a name card bearing her name and sat down.

Who knew, Xu Siyao’s voice persisted annoyingly, asking: ”Sister Xiao Yun, are you okay? Although you didn’t win the award, we all support you.”

Zhou Yun looked ahead expressionlessly, not even bothering to give Xu Siyao a glance.

Her voice was very cold, saying, ”Xu Siyao, I’m not in the mood to talk to you right now, nor am I in the mood to scold you. You’d better shut up immediately, or else, if you want to do a live streaming with me right here, I don’t mind. I can properly introduce to your new fans what kind of things you’ve done out of admiration for me as your idol.”

Xu Siyao’s face changed, and she shut her mouth.

Zhou Yun’s imposing aura was completely displayed.

Wang Jing glanced at Xu Siyao and sneered.

After a while, Zhou Lan also arrived.

She entered with He Yong.

Almost everyone stood up as He Yong entered the conference room.

Zhou Yun originally did not plan to stand, but it wouldn’t look good not to stand by herself. Moreover, she didn’t intend to disrespect He Yong in front of so many people.

He Yong pressed down his hand in a friendly manner, saying, ”Everyone, please sit.”

Zhou Lan took a seat next to He Yong.

Everyone’s faces changed slightly upon seeing this scene.

Although Zhou Lan had been promoted previously, she had not been promoted to a position where she could sit directly beside He Yong.

The seating arrangement at such meetings was meaningful.

Who sits where, all had rules.

This sign quickly stirred everyone’s thoughts.

In the past two years, as Zhou Yun’s agent, Zhou Lan, while guiding Zhou Yun’s skyrocketing career, had also brought up Wang Jing, a rising star.

Everyone gained a new understanding of Zhou Lan’s abilities. Outsiders might think Zhou Lan was just lucky, having good fortune to meet Zhou Yun and soar high together. But insiders knew that in these two speeding years of Zhou Yun’s rise, Zhou Lan had managed both big and small affairs, multiple public relations crises, and various collaborations adeptly without any mishaps, a testament to her effort and capability not just anyone could achieve.

Could it be that Zhou Lan was about to be promoted again?

He Yong exchanged pleasantries in his opening remarks — he was not the kind of leader who liked to speak formally, preferring to intentionally display his amiable side during meetings, especially after last year’s incident, He Yong would deliberately smile or show his approachability in front of ordinary employees.

After finishing, he then said, ”Today, I’ve gathered everyone here mainly because the company has a new idea, Chengqian Entertainment, with artist management as our main business, has achieved evident success over the years. But as it goes, while achieving success, we not only need to be prepared for dangers in times of safety, but also seek innovation and change. Otherwise, we might be unknowingly eliminated by the market.”

”Our previous model of artist management was mostly based on agents managing artists either in a one-on-one or one-on-many nanny-style operation. In fact, as our top artists increase and rise, this model no longer keeps up with the needs of top artists. At the same time, we also see many agents and artists who do not exert themselves, but rely on the resources provided by the company to barely survive. Therefore, I am preparing to implement a new system in the company, of course, this system is still just a trial and will not be immediately rolled out on a large scale. We will decide based on our trial results.”
