Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 613: Chapter 453: Two Tigers on One Mountain_3

At first, when Zhou Yun and Song Chi were rumored to be in a scandal, some people were so certain—just because Zhou Yun and Song Chi had matching ”bright red and purple” phone cases.

Yuk Chu screamed, exclaiming, ”That was ages ago, and you’re still bringing it up.”

The two laughed and played around in a tangle.

Zhou Yun genuinely liked Yuk Chu and regarded her as a friend.

In the past few months, Zhou Yun’s career and circumstances had undergone earth-shaking changes, but Yuk Chu had always treated Zhou Yun the same way. Amid rapidly changing surroundings, having such a consistent friend was sometimes a source of comfort.

As time passed, the rumors about Zhou Yun and Zhao Qin online finally began to dissipate.

In the end, Zhao Qin issued an apology statement and announced his departure from the ”Geology Talk” production team, settling the dust.

Did Zhou Yun and Zhao Qin ever sleep together? Was the incident real or fake? These questions remained unanswered, of course, no one needed an answer.

Certain public impressions had already been formed.

Everything gradually calmed down.

Zhou Yun joined the crew three days ahead of schedule to start preparing for the filming of ”Eighth Heartbeat.”

The events of the past half month had impacted many aspects of Zhou Yun’s work, but to ”Eighth Heartbeat,” it was nothing significant.

The timeline of a film or TV series, from preparation to filming to release, is usually quite long.

This kind of unresolved rumor had enough time for its impact to fade before the release of a project.

However, Zhou Yun’s ”popularity” had been discounted, and her image took a major hit. In an entertainment industry accustomed to extreme adoration and criticism, this affected her situation after joining the crew.

Producer Huang Zhong had previously gone out of his way to prepare a private rest room for her, having someone line up for an hour or two to buy popular tea for Zhou Yun to drink.

Seeing Huang Zhong again, his attitude towards Zhou Yun had notably cooled.

He still spoke pleasantly on the surface, telling her to approach him if she needed anything.

But Zhou Yun could feel the change in attitude.

Zhou Yun moved into the hotel the production team had arranged for her. The entire crew of over a hundred people had booked three floors. The floor Zhou Yun was staying on was mainly housing actors, with her room being the best suite—befitting the lead actress. Because she had joined the crew a few days early, not many people were staying on her floor yet; it was even somewhat quiet. Not many artists would join a crew ahead of time unless they had no other work in the following days.

After tidying up her room, Zhou Yun picked up the schedule Sister Lan had asked the crew for and looked at the scenes she would start with so she could prepare in advance.

Suddenly, she heard a moan coming from the next room.

Zhou Yun’s eyes widened, disbelieving as she looked toward the neighboring room.

The indescribable sounds grew louder, grating to the ears.

Zhou Yun could never have imagined that on her first day with the crew, she would encounter such a scene.

Having never faced this before, she didn’t know what to do, felt helpless and somewhat embarrassed, and couldn’t bring herself to ask others for help.

Zhou Yun could only message Zhou Lan, asking, ”Sister Lan, who’s staying next to me?”

Zhou Lan responded: ”I’m not sure, I’ll find out for you.”

A little while later, Zhou Lan replied: ”Gu Huaichun.”

Then asked: ”What’s up?”

An image of Gu Huaichun’s face, with its regular features and heroic brows and eyes, came to Zhou Yun’s mind. She huffed and messaged Zhou Lan: ”Young people really are full of energy.”

Zhou Lan immediately understood and shared her shock: ”In broad daylight?”

Zhou Yun: ”I really hadn’t seen that coming.”

Zhou Lan: ”Well, they’re young. It’s normal to do such things.”

Zhou Yun: ”This hotel’s soundproofing is awful. Should I send him a note to give him a heads up?”

Zhou Lan: ”Aren’t you just threatening him?”

Zhou Yun: ”Sister Lan, I’m replying to your messages as I listen to moans.”

Zhou Lan: ”...I’ll remind his agent. I’ll say I heard it as I passed by his door.”

Not wanting to continue sitting here listening to a show, Zhou Yun gathered her things, put on a mask, and left the room.

She had intended to spend some time in Zheng Xiaojue’s room, but unexpectedly ran into the director of this film, Lu Yuan, when taking the elevator.

”Director Lu?” Zhou Yun saw him, somewhat surprised.

Lu Yuan responded: ”You heading out?”

”Um.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”Are you staying on this floor too?”

”No, I’m here to see Xiao Gu, need to have a chat with him about something,” said Lu Yuan.

Zhou Yun’s expression immediately became colorful.

”You’re looking for him? Director Lu, maybe you should wait a bit before seeing him. I reckon he’s busy right now.”
