Chapter 630: Chapter 461: You Shade Me, I Shade You

Even though the sudden remark from Zheng Xiaojue made Zhou Yun really want to give her a beating, but——

Zhou Yun thought to herself, she didn’t eat much last night anyway.

But after throwing up, she felt much better.

She breathed a sigh of relief and continued on her way to the filming location of the program.

Upon arrival, the staff of the show were anxiously waiting at the door for her.

Zhou Yun got out of the car and walked inside.

All the way to the makeup room, her nameplate was posted on the door, and right next to it was Xu Siyao’s name.

The door to Xu Siyao’s makeup room was closed.

Zhou Yun was glad not to greet her, entered her own makeup room, and hurriedly started applying makeup.

Halfway through her makeup, the director came to knock on the door to go over the script for today’s recording.

The director said, ”Xiao Yun, for today’s recording, we’ve set up a murder game, where there is a murderer among all the guests, and the task is to find out who the murderer is.”

Zhou Yun acknowledged with a sound, smiling and asking, ”Am I the murderer?”

The director said, ”You will find out after the official start of the recording.”

Zhou Yun: ”This is so mysterious, I thought I would know this in advance.”

After thinking for a moment, the director said, ”Well, I can tell you in advance, you are indeed today’s murderer.”

Zhou Yun: ”... Ah, I knew it! Okay, I’ve got it, so I need to hide my identity?”

”Yes,” the director nodded, ”You have to hide your identity among all the people, and at the same time, lead everyone to suspect others as the murderer. During the final voting phase, as long as you do not receive the highest number of votes, you win.”

Zhou Yun acknowledged again.

”I got it, director, leave it to me.”

Today’s guests for the program recording included four regular guests and three guest ones, among them were herself and Xu Siyao, and another was Zhou Yun’s old friend, Yin Zhou.

After finishing her makeup, Zhou Yun took the initiative to go to Yin Zhou’s makeup room to greet him.

”It’s nice to see you again, my friend.”

Yin Zhou was sitting in the chair reading the script. Hearing Zhou Yun’s greeting, he turned his head, showed a smiling face, and said, ”Why did you come over?”

He closed the script.

Zhou Yun narrowed her eyes and said, ”Yin Zhou, what are you doing? What are you secretly reading? Do you have a secret task today?”

Yin Zhou immediately shook his head and said, ”Not at all, I was looking at an introduction for another job.”

Zhou Yun looked unconvinced.

Yin Zhou shrugged helplessly.

”Fine, I’ll let you off this time,” Zhou Yun snorted lightly, ”You’re quite the big shot, making a beauty like me come to you. You didn’t even take the initiative to find me.”

Yin Zhou sighed helplessly and said, ”I got stuck in traffic on the way here, and my makeup artist hasn’t arrived yet, still waiting to do my makeup.”

Zhou Yun then noticed that Yin Zhou hadn’t put on makeup yet.

Nowadays, everyone usually wears some makeup when on camera, regardless of gender.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Do you want me to have my makeup artist rush for you?”

”No need, he just sent me a message, he will be here in ten minutes,” Yin Zhou said, ”I hope it won’t delay the recording of the show.”

Just at that moment, a shrill and exasperated curse came from nearby: ”What kind of job are you doing?! ”

The curse was sharp and piercing.

Zhou Yun and Yin Zhou looked at each other in surprise and stepped out to take a look.

The voice came from Xu Siyao’s makeup room.

But the voice just now didn’t sound like Xu Siyao’s.

Zhou Yun hesitated for a moment, didn’t step forward but gave Zheng Xiaojue a knowing glance.

Zheng Xiaojue got the hint and blended into the crowd to see what had happened.

Zhou Yun returned to Yin Zhou’s dressing room and whispered, ”I don’t even know what’s going on.”

Yin Zhou shook his head, ”I don’t know either, and it’s none of our business.”

After a while, Zheng Xiaojue came back with the news she had gathered.

”Xu Siyao’s assistant got into a conflict with one of the staff members of the show,” she said.

”Conflict? What conflict?” Zhou Yun couldn’t figure out what kind of conflict Xu Siyao’s assistant could have had with the staff.

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”They’re saying that the wardrobe provided to Xu Siyao was one size too big.”

”What?”

”The shoes as well, incredibly ill-fitting.” Zheng Xiaojue said, ”So, Xu Siyao’s assistant just called the person over and gave them a thorough scolding.”

”Alright, how not surprising,” commented Zhou Yun with sarcasm.

Zheng Xiaojue: ”Yeah, it’s just a simple mix-up of sizes, I don’t get why she blew up so fiercely.”

She pouted her lips.

Zhou Yun told Yin Zhou, ”Then I’m going back first.”

Yin Zhou: ”Okay, see you in a bit.”

The two left Yin Zhou’s dressing room and as they walked to the front, they saw a young girl standing in front of another girl, wiping her tears and softly saying, ”The sizes they gave me earlier were exactly these, and now they are blaming me for getting the size wrong, and they don’t even listen to my explanation, they just scolded me...”

The young girl sobbed as she lamented.

Zhou Yun and Zheng Xiaojue exchanged a look.

If they guessed right, this little girl was probably the one who had just received a fierce scolding from Xu Siyao’s assistant.

At this moment, the person consoling the young girl saw Zhou Yun and the others approaching, quickly grabbed the young girl, and led her away.

At that moment, the door to Xu Siyao’s dressing room suddenly opened.

”Go get the director, I will not accept this stature,” Xu Siyao’s voice came out from the dressing room.

Zhou Yun and Zheng Xiaojue stopped in their tracks, unsure of what Xu Siyao was up to now.

Xu Siyao’s assistant came out, her face marked with difficulty.

But she didn’t expect to see Zhou Yun right outside the door.

She gave Zhou Yun a surprised look and called out, ”Miss Zhou.”

Xu Siyao walked out of the dressing room, saw Zhou Yun, crossed her arms over her chest, and let out a cold laugh, saying, ”So, Sister Xiao Yun likes to eavesdrop too, huh?”

Zheng Xiaojue retorted sharply, ”Your voices are so loud, we’re only short of installing a loudspeaker at the door; who the hell would be interested in eavesdropping on you?!”

Zhou Yun was shocked by Zheng Xiaojue’s sudden display of sharp-tongued skills.

When did the little girl become so biting with her words?

Zhou Yun said with a smile, ”Xiaoju, what’s there to be angry about with them? Let’s go, lest others think we love eavesdropping.”

Zheng Xiaojue replied with an ”Oh.”

Xu Siyao called out from behind, ”Is Eldest Sister Yun completely ignoring me now?”

Zhou Yun stopped, turned around, crossed her arms over her chest, and in an unprecedented floaty and exaggerated manner, she made a sarcastic and singsong expression as if saying ”How could that be?”: ”How could that be? You’re my beloved Little Sister Siyao!”

She thought to herself that if there was a mirror in front of her, the sight of her own expression would make her vomit.

But the person in front of her wasn’t herself, it was Xu Siyao, so it didn’t matter.

”Eldest Sister Yun loves Little Sister Siyao the most!”

She blew Xu Siyao a kiss, tossed her head, and twisted into her own dressing room.

Turning around, she saw Zheng Xiaojue with a face full of reluctance, wishing to speak but not finding the words, and looking like she was on the verge of vomiting – it was a rather pitiful expression. She watched her, stammering half a day without getting out even One Word.
