Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 619: Chapter 454: Competitive Spirit 2

Zhou Yun clicked on Song Chi’s Weibo, and saw that Song Chi posted a new Weibo thirty minutes ago, saying: ”I have never been dissed like this @Zhou Yun.”

Since she was ’@’ mentioned, Zhou Yun thought she should interact a bit. She reposted and commented: ”You invited trouble yourself, don’t blame this fairy for being too spicy.”

In the second episode’s video, Zhou Yun also several times claimed herself as a fairy, which Song Chi ridiculed, and which was a segment that received strong reactions in the comments.

Zhou Yun’s claim of being a fairy was liked by many girls, and in the comments, Zhou Yun also saw that after someone mocked her for claiming to be a fairy, many people trolled that first person.

On Weibo, the public opinion towards Zhou Yun used to be uniformly disliking, not liking, detesting, but now there have appeared some comments saying they didn’t expect Zhou Yun to be so cute in private, that even beauties can be narcissistic, Zhou Yun is like a little girl privately.

Seeing these comments, Zhou Yun really wanted to retort, what meant she’s only cute in private? Wasn’t she cute on camera too? The effect of a reality show is often unpredictable because it’s uncertain if the audience will like the real persona; therefore, many companies, to play safe, craft personas for their artists to act out these tested personas on camera.

Chengqian Entertainment also created several personas for Zhou Yun, like the bare-faced, pure beauty, but this persona was shattered to pieces in June due to Zhao Qin’s scandal.

In this program, Sister Lan had suggested leaning towards being elegant, beautiful, and generous as key adjectives, but who knew, she couldn’t keep it up the very first day and messed it up.

The program broadcast less than an hour when Sister Lan suddenly sent a collage of real-time comments about the episode from the internet, including Weibo, Zhihu, Douyin, and other platforms. There was a stream of comments expressing likes for Zhou Yun, saying ”converted to fans”.

Sister Lan said: ”The effect of this episode’s broadcast was unexpectedly good.”

Zhou Yun: ”They’re happy watching my blunders?”

This episode’s highlight was probably when Zhou Yun tried to act gently and generously but ended up being exposed by Song Chi instead.

Sister Lan: ”Actually, the audience feels that they’ve seen your true nature.”

Zhou Yun: ”I thought the production team wouldn’t release these segments, didn’t we agree to show my beautiful and generous side?”

Sister Lan: ”I’ve been with the production company editing, and I agreed to them airing these shots.”

Zhou Yun: ”You’ve been editing with them these days?”

Sister Lan: ”Yes, when I saw this segment, I thought it would help the audience see the real you, so I decided to let them include it in the cut.”

Zhou Yun: ”Thanks for the hard work, thank you Sister Lan.”

Sister Lan: ”It might get a bit more demanding for you moving forward.”

Zhou Yun: ”Huh? What happened?”

Sister Lan: ”After the broadcast of this episode today, the company will gradually resume promoting you. Partners who were wary because of the scandal will likely not hesitate anymore after seeing today’s broadcast. I’ve already been coordinating with several businesses.”

Zhou Yun: ”What about the current filming? I have heavy shooting tasks daily.”

Sister Lan: ”Don’t worry about that, I’ll communicate with the production team. You’ll focus on filming without it affecting your normal schedule, but running between two commitments will be tiring.”

Zhou Yun: ”I don’t mind being tired, but Lu Yuan’s filming is extremely rushed. We’ve been hurriedly making progress, and in less than a month, we’ve already completed one-third of my scenes. I’m worried about not being able to find the time.”

Sister Lan: ”I’ll handle the schedule coordination. As for Lu Yuan... I heard that Yuehai Network is looking for someone to write a script, intending to develop two spin-off movies.”

Zhou Yun was shocked and asked, ”Spin-off movies?”

Sister Lan: ”Yes, because ’Eighth Heartbeat’s’ current metrics are much better than expected, they internally assessed that the drama would at least become a minor hit, so they want to use this drama to shoot two spin-off movies, which will also be released on Yuehai Network.”

Zhou Yun: ”Meaning, besides the current script, I will have to act in a new script later?”

Sister Lan: ”No, I won’t agree for you to act in such network films. The two spin-off movies, I heard one is centered around the character Yu Yhan, and the other around Yin Zhou, not related to you. Lu Yuan and their team are rushing now because they want to film these two spin-off movies simultaneously later, and then separately edit them into two spin-offs.”
