Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 642: Chapter 470: Top Priority

He Yong was shocked and said, ”Xiao Yun, I really didn’t know about these things, it’s the first time I’ve heard about this. You’re saying she contacted the ’What a Nice Weather’ program team?”

Zhou Yun, with a cold face, asked, ”President He, do you really not know? Not admitting what you’ve done makes me even angrier. I don’t believe Xu Siyao could have done all this on her own.”

He Yong, filled with sincerity, said, ”Xiao Yun, I really didn’t know anything about this. How could I possibly allow others to slander you? Even if you don’t believe me, you should believe in the money you have earned for the company. Slandering you impacts brand endorsements and other collaborations. What good does it do me? If Xu Siyao were my girlfriend, or my daughter, it might be said I lost my sense. But that’s not the case.”

Zhou Yun did not speak.

She stared at He Yong.

He Yong grew more agitated as he spoke, ”You also said earlier, I just don’t want Xu Siyao to get into trouble and ruin her career. But you are my primary concern, nobody should affect this priority.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Yet Xu Siyao has repeatedly tried to slander me, and I didn’t see you stop her.”

”How could that be!” He Yong said, ”Do you know how hard that girl, Xu Siyao, tried to use your name to promote her own public image after ’Dingfengbo’ drama was aired? Didn’t I suppress all of it?”

Zhou Yun suddenly realized that it wasn’t that Xu Siyao had held herself back, but that He Yong had stepped in.

She said why Xu Siyao’s promotional drafts hadn’t been released.

Given Xu Siyao’s personality, it wouldn’t be like her not to send out those drafts.

Zhou Yun said, ”I won’t say much more, but to speak the truth, the extent of what Xu Siyao has done, I have nothing good left to say about her. This time, I won’t be lenient for your sake anymore, nor will I keep the peace for the sake of appearances. Since she dared to do this, she should be ready to face the consequences.”

Hearing this, He Yong became anxious and said, ”Xiao Yun, leave this matter to me. Let me find out exactly what happened first. Once I find out, I assure you, this won’t affect you. I will handle this properly.”

”President He, what do you plan to do about it? Handle Xu Siyao, make her give up this idea, handle the program team, stop them from cooperating with Xu Siyao?” Zhou Yun chuckled lightly, ”That’s not what I want. If I just wanted the show not to go on air, I wouldn’t need to talk this much with you, President He. You still don’t understand what I really want.”

He Yong’s face suddenly turned grim.

Zhou Yun said, ”Anyway, I don’t have the power to banish her from the entertainment industry or kick her out, but since she doesn’t care about her reputation and wants to engage in all manner of vile activities, let everyone know what she has done. Haven’t you always said? Being infamous is still being famous. I’m just helping her become more famous.”

He Yong’s lips twitched, as if he wanted to say something, but then he didn’t say anything.

...

Chestnut Video, company headquarters.

Director Zhou knocked on the door and entered the office of the president of Chestnut Video.

”I’ve checked. Xu Hening has indeed been spending all day every day in his studio with a few editors recently.”

”Right, let him take a break for a while. The ’What a Nice Weather’ program has been running for a long time; he’s also tired, a break would be good. Let Song Hao replace him for a while.”

”Okay, I’ll arrange that.”

...

After receiving He Yong’s call, Xu Siyao was dumbfounded.

Zhou Yun... how did she know about this in advance? Why would she know about this?

He Yong’s final warning ”be careful” struck her like a bolt from the blue.

She immediately called Xu Hening.

Could it be that the leak came from Xu Hening’s side?

Xu Hening picked up the call, he didn’t wait for Xu Siyao to speak, and said directly, ”Stop calling me. Because of your mess, the company has already asked me to take a break.”

With that, Xu Hening hung up.

Xu Siyao no longer doubted it; she knew He Yong was telling the truth.

Her face instantly turned pale.

Xu Siyao sat at home, unable to recover for a long time.

What to do?

What should she do?

Now that Zhou Yun knew about this, she definitely wouldn’t let her off easily.

Xu Siyao suddenly regretted why she had been greedy to hold onto Zhou Yun’s clips, directing the edits to be unfavorable to Zhou Yun.

It must have been because of this that the leak happened.

And it must have been the leak from Xu Hening’s side!

Xu Siyao didn’t even have time to curse Xu Hening. He Yong had made it very clear to her; even he couldn’t cover this up. Zhou Yun was about to take revenge on her.

Thinking back on how Zhou Yun had openly broadcasted live, nearly naming her directly, she couldn’t bear to think of what Zhou Yun might do.

She couldn’t bear to think further.

But just then, her phone rang.

It was Chen Wenjun calling.

She felt like a drowning person who suddenly saw a boat, her heart suddenly lifted as she answered the phone.

”Hello, Brother Jun—”

Chen Wenjun could definitely talk Zhou Yun around.

He could persuade Zhou Yun to let her off this time.

Before Xu Siyao could finish speaking, she was interrupted by Chen Wenjun.

”I really didn’t expect that you could be such an unimaginably foolish woman, getting more foolish and less mature with each mistake!” Chen Wenjun’s cold voice came from the other end of the phone, ”I can’t stand you anymore, let’s break up.”

A huge rock smashed onto Xu Siyao’s heart.

”What did you say? Break up? Brother Jun...”

The phone was hung up.

Xu Siyao stood there in disbelief, stunned.

How could this happen?

Why did it suddenly come to this?

In just ten minutes, Xu Siyao’s whole world had collapsed.

Xu Siyao suddenly thought of something.

Now wasn’t the time to be heartbroken over Chen Wenjun wanting to break up; she quickly picked up her phone, found Zhou Yun’s number, and dialed it...

To apologize, to beg for mercy.

As long as Zhou Yun was willing to forgive her, everything could be discussed.

Xu Siyao dialed the number, waiting for Zhou Yun to answer the call.

...

When Zhou Yun saw the caller’s name light up on her phone screen, she sighed softly, and began acting coquettishly, ”Ah, Little Sister Siyao is calling me? But Sister Xiao Yun doesn’t want to answer right now.”

She directly hung up Xu Siyao’s call and then, blocked Xu Siyao’s number.

Zhou Yun smiled contentedly.

The whole world seemed warm and comfortable.

Song Chi glanced at Zhou Yun and seeing the smile at the corners of her mouth, the complaint he was about to voice slowly retreated.

Never mind, if she’s happy, Sister Xiao Yun it is.

Ugh～ Gross!
