Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 616: Chapter 453: Two Tigers on One Mountain_6

The reason is simple, it won’t be popular.

Even if Zhou Yun came to be part of this program, Zhou Yun still felt that this program would not be successful. To be precise, she didn’t even know the purpose of this program.

Finding things you don’t want and selling them.

Decluttering?

Lew Yuan smiled and said, ”Actually, I was moved by the planner of this program. When they presented the plan to me, I saw some of the amateur guests they had selected before. One of them was a girl who once had a boyfriend, lived together for about half a year, during which she had been abused by her boyfriend several times. She finally broke up with him and escaped the shadow, wanting to sell all the items that hold shared memories because she doesn’t want to remember that past. There was also an old lady, who faced a tragedy two months ago as her son’s family died in a car accident. The government, worried about her living alone without support, decided to send her to a nursing home, and she could only take a few belongings with her, needing to sell most of her things. I’ve encountered many stories like these, so I think making such a program is actually very meaningful. Selling things is a simple act, but each act has a different story behind it, and I think these stories are worth sharing with more people.”

Zhou Yun instantly understood Lew Yuan’s intention.

”So it’s like that.”

Lew Yuan nodded and said, ”Didn’t expect it at first?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Hadn’t thought of that, I thought it was just a story about decluttering.”

Lew Yuan smiled and said, ”From the name of the program, it does sound like that, ’Flowers and Things.’”

”Why would you choose such a name then? It sounds a bit... how should I say it, a bit too ornate,” Zhou Yun said.

Lew Yuan said, ”Because I don’t want the program to feel too heavy, I just want to share different slices of life.”

Zhou Yun: ”Am I recording the first episode?”

Lew Yuan shook his head and said, ”You are in the second episode; the first one has already been recorded.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Lucky that the program found you. Honestly, if I hadn’t known that you were hosting this program, I wouldn’t have come after seeing its name and synopsis. Indeed, your judgment can be trusted.”

Lew Yuan laughed, saying, ”Mr. Liang Yuanpu was the guest I invited for the first episode. He said the same thing you did.”

”Mr. Liang?” Zhou Yun asked in surprise, ”He also came to do the show? Ah, had I known I would have applied to record it with him.”

Lew Yuan said, ”No worries, I’ll introduce him to you next time.”

Lew Yuan has been in the hosting industry for many years and knows almost everyone in the circle, an advantage provided by his professional role.

Zhou Yun thanked him with a smile.

Upon arriving at the location, the two restarted their mics and stopped discussing private topics.

Today’s amateur guest for the filming is a middle-aged divorced man.

A year ago, he lost his left hand in a work accident and became disabled, and six months later, his wife left him, leaving behind a son.

Due to the high cost of living in a big city, this man decided to return to his hometown with his son. Before leaving, he had many things to deal with, which could also bring in significant income if sold.

This man’s name is Zhong Zhihui.

Lew Yuan briefed Zhou Yun about this man’s background in advance.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun felt a deep sense of sympathy.

”Why did his ex-wife leave him?” Zhou Yun asked softly, ”Because... of that accident?”

She felt embarrassed just mentioning the word ’disability’.

Lew Yuan said, ”I don’t know, I didn’t ask them to pry into that. It’s alright, the focus isn’t on why his wife left him. I don’t want the audience to focus on that.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Together, Lew Yuan and Zhou Yun went upstairs to Zhong Zhihui’s front door.

Considering the area and the residential complex, the family’s living standard wasn’t bad.

Being able to own a 160-square-meter apartment in Shanghai in this area indicates that they were a well-to-do family.

Standing outside the door, Zhou Yun suddenly felt nervous.

”Xiao Yun, are you feeling nervous?” Lew Yuan sharply noticed Zhou Yun’s change.

Taking a deep breath, Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”A little.”

She is actually afraid of facing people whose lives are unfortunate. The misfortune of others tends to make her feel guilt and a sense of culpability.
