Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 631: Chapter 462: Sisterly Bonds

In the end, Zheng Xiaojue looked at Zhou Yun with an expression of sheer amazement and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, what’s gotten into you today?”

Zhou Yun: ”I’ve decided to switch strategies. I’m so sick of people who address me as Sister Xiao Yun all the time. I’ve decided to give them a taste of their own medicine, to disgust them to death.”

Xiaojue’s face lit up with sudden understanding.

”Brilliant,” Zheng Xiaojue said.

Zhou Yun gave her a sidelong glance. ”Why do I feel like it’s killing you to compliment me?”

Zheng Xiaojue spoke truthfully: ”When you were calling Little Sister Siyao earlier, I got goosebumps all over.”

Hearing this, Zhou Yun couldn’t help but laugh.

”Alright, you’re right. Actually, I got goosebumps all over myself, too. It was utterly disgusting.”

Zheng Xiaojue: ”But I saw Xu Siyao’s face turning green.”

”Hahaha, really? That’s such a pity. In my effort to act cool, I didn’t even look at her and just walked in without turning back. I should have taken a glance. I missed out,” Zhou Yun clicked her tongue in regret.

Half an hour later, an assistant director came over and whispered, ”I’m sorry, Miss Zhou, the recording of the show might be delayed a bit.”

”What’s the matter? Hasn’t Yin Zhou’s makeup artist arrived yet?” Zhou Yun asked.

”Ah? Yin Zhou?” The assistant director paused with confusion, ”No, it’s not Yin Zhou. It’s an issue with one of the segments in our show that we need to confirm again.”

Zhou Yun nodded in understanding and said, ”Okay.”

The assistant director left, visibly relieved.

Zhou Yun said to Zheng Xiaojue: ”Who knows what segment went wrong.”

Zheng Xiaojue said: ”Should I go out and find out?”

”Mhm.” Xiaojue turned to Liu Yun, who had been silent, and instructed: ”Xiaoyun, just stay here, okay? Ask for the identity of anyone who wants to come in. If they claim to be part of the production crew but you don’t recognize them, you have to check their credentials.”

Liu Yun acknowledged with a yes.

Only after Xiaojue gave clear instructions did she leave.

Zhou Yun thought to herself, Zheng Xiaojue had really grown a lot over the past two years.

Now she has also become a very meticulous person.

Zhou Yun said to Liu Yun: ”Xiaoyun, I’m feeling a bit unwell. I’m going to rest on the sofa for a while. Wake me up when it’s time to start recording.”

Liu Yun nodded and agreed.

She said, ”There’s a blanket in the car. I’ll ask Brother Cao to bring it over for you.”

Zhou Yun agreed.

Indeed feeling unwell, Zhou Yun lay down on the sofa and quickly fell asleep.

About twenty minutes later, she woke up.

”How did it go?” she asked Zheng Xiaojue, who had returned. ”What happened with the production team?”

Zheng Xiaojue was visibly upset and very annoyed as she said, ”There wasn’t any problem with a segment from the production team. It was Xu Siyao who wasn’t satisfied with the role the team assigned her, so now they are hastily rewriting her character in the script.”

Zhou Yun frowned.

”What was Xu Siyao dissatisfied with?”

”The production team had cast her as the Witch, but she refused to play it,” Zheng Xiaojue sighed heavily, ”I thought originally that the production team hadn’t communicated with her beforehand, but it turns out they had discussed it well in advance. Yet, she threw a fit today, refusing to cooperate no matter what. With no other option, the production team had to change her character to the Princess on the spot, and now they’re hurrying to alter the Princess costume so it would fit her.”

Zhou Yun: ”She’s really spoiled. I can’t believe the production team lets her get away with such capricious behavior.”

Zheng Xiaojue did not comment.

Zhou Yun raised an eyebrow, ”What, is Xu Siyao still not willing to record?”

Zheng Xiaojue said: ”That’s how she threatened the production team.”

After debuting for a year or two, how is Xu Siyao still the same way?

Who does she think she is? Demanding that the entire cast revolves around her.

Zhou Yun impatiently said, ”On what grounds does she threaten the production team? Does she think the team is begging her to record the show?”

She continued to Zheng Xiaojue: ”Xiaoju, go and talk to the director. If anyone disturbs the normal recording of the program for personal reasons, I won’t accept my time being wasted because of this.”

Zheng Xiaojue left immediately.

After a while, the director personally came along with Zheng Xiaojue.

Upon entering, the director’s face was full of smiles, ”Miss Zhou, sorry to have kept you waiting.”

”Director, it’s tough on you, coming here personally in such a busy time,” seeing the director arriving personally, Zhou Yun quickly stood up and said, ”I’m not sure if Xiaoju made it clear to you. I heard that our program can’t start because the production team is revising Xu Siyao’s script character?”
