Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 445: Chapter 443: Methods for Learning Leadership Skill

However, Gu Xi did not make a decision based on the black-robed skeleton’s words. Instead, he earnestly asked, ”Then will you teach anything else?”

”Yes, what would you like to learn? Destruction, chaos, light, order? Magic is only limited to these four categories for me.

I know herbalism, magic potion, and alchemy, all of them.

Daggers, short swords, exotic weapons, regarding physical combat, these are all I can manage.

There shouldn’t be anything suitable for you to learn related to undead, as you already have a decent grasp of undead attributes.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s question, the black-robed skeleton immediately started speaking.

It seemed that compared to some skills requiring special methods to learn, these appeared much simpler.

This immediately caught Gu Xi’s attention; destruction and chaos magic—Gu Xi had heard of them before, the attributes were somewhat close to undead magic and dark magic.

However, these were nothing compared to the previously mentioned leadership skill and logistics.

If he wished to continue learning, magic potion and alchemy would be a good choice.

But those would all have to be scheduled after leadership skill.

Currently, Gu Xi is most concerned about studying leadership skill.

Standing in front of the black-robed skeleton, hesitating for a moment, Gu Xi decisively said, ”Forget about the others, first teach me leadership skill. You must ensure I can learn leadership skill, otherwise even if I tear this place down, I won’t let you have peace.”

”Don’t worry about that. Our academy always teaches what it promises, there won’t be any issues. Are you sure you want to start with leadership skill?”

Gu Xi turned back and glanced at the path he had come from, just as the train was passing through the spot where he had boarded earlier.

But Gu Xi only took a glance, then said with certainty, ”I’m sure, I want to learn leadership skill.”

”Very well, if you want to learn leadership skill, then I must tell you about the four artifacts of our academy. Our academy is divided into four departments, marked by reindeer, bats, mountain leopards, and crocodiles.

Our department’s representative animal is the reindeer, responsible for logistics, with its original artifact being a rack made of antlers, which not only allows people to learn logistics instantly but also doubles everyone’s backpack capacity.

The leadership skill you want to learn is a method from the crocodile department, where in the lake at the front of the original academy, they foster a giant crocodile with a sword stuck into its head.

You don’t need to pull out the sword; just find the crocodile and touch the sword to learn leadership skill.

The bat department controls the pathfinding skill; they possess a cloak that, once worn, carries you into the sky.

Once you’re able to control the cloak and fly back, you’ve mastered the pathfinding skill.

The department that seized all the artifacts is the mountain leopard department, whose artifact is a cup. Obtaining the cup represents acquiring luck.”

”So now to learn leadership skill, I need to go find a crocodile in the lake, not knowing whether it’s alive or dead?”

”No, initially the professor of the mountain leopard department grabbed three artifacts from the other departments, merging them into the cup and drank it all in one breath.

Our artifacts are gone now, and to learn leadership skill, we have to take a different approach.

Help me find something and bring it back. If you can return with the item, you will learn leadership skill.”

After speaking, the black-robed skeleton extended his hand, and a rather peculiar white herb appeared before Gu Xi.

The herb was divided into three clumps, yet it had only a single leaf, with a small skull flower growing at the leaf’s tip.

”It’s this herb. Head straight along the tracks, and you’ll find a valley’s fault where you can find this skull flower. Collect ten flowers to learn leadership skill.”

Gu Xi glanced at the black-robed skeleton.

”I haven’t read much, don’t trick me. Won’t collecting herbs teach herbalism? How can it be leadership skill?”

”Just go and come back, it will definitely be leadership skill.”

”I don’t believe it, unless you give me a quest.”

[Ding! At your request, you have activated a temporary quest!]

[Temporary Quest: White Bone Blooms]

[Quest Description: Gather ten special skull flowers]

[Quest Requirement: Gather skull flowers (0/10)]

[Quest Reward: Basic Skill - Leadership Skill.]

[Note: This is an opportunity for the undead to learn leadership skill.]

Just as Gu Xi finished speaking, a ding noise sounded near his ears.

The temporary quest Gu Xi asked for popped up.

After glancing at the quest description and requirements, Gu Xi finally confirmed, ”I accept.”

Seeing Gu Xi accept the quest, the black-robed skeleton grinned, ”Good to accept the quest, here’s the map. There are a few positions that might be dangerous, be careful.

Also, this mountain forest hides many quests that you might want to check out—don’t think these quests are unimportant. Sometimes ordinary temporary quests could be beneficial to you.”

After speaking, the black-robed skeleton returned to the giant skeleton’s body, letting the giant skeleton retreat underground.

As the giant skeleton prepared to bury itself, the black-robed skeleton seemed to recall something, ”Oh, and remember to use the Soul Summoning Skill when you return. Even if you call for ages here, you won’t wake me without it.”

Listening to this, Gu Xi was speechless; was he trying to get a freebie from his Soul Summoning Skill?

However, just as he wanted to retort, the giant skeleton had already buried itself, restoring everything to its original state.

Now Gu Xi had no choice but to take a glance at the map, and then hand it over to the Evil Coffin.

For Gu Xi, now the most important thing was to complete the quest and acquire the leadership skill first.

As for the other missions, he would wait until he obtained the most important thing to pursue them.

He certainly couldn’t forsake leadership skill learning to pursue other things.

After retrieving the map, the Evil Coffin began analyzing the map’s routes automatically.

Though some mountain terrains couldn’t be drawn in detail on the map, many places are represented on it.

For instance, the train running back and forth between the mountains and the large lake—without the map, Gu Xi might not have known that such a short distance contains two different train stations.

Only at the train station locations were big crosses marked. Clearly, these two train stations either disappeared or were nonexistent.

Additionally, at the lake’s edge, there’s an abandoned castle marked as dangerous and not approachable.

However, Gu Xi had a feeling that everything depicted on this map was meant to urge whoever held it: Hurry to this place; here is where you’ll find what you want.
