Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 433: Chapter 431: Underwater Structures and Units

While speaking, Gu Xi and his party had already made a round in the Magic Plant District. Upon returning to Evil Wood Lake, Gu Xi didn’t head back out but instead prepared to flow downstream from Evil Wood Lake, past the Pier District, and into the Green Lake District.

Luna also detailed the situation in the Green Lake District.

When Gu Xi acquired the Land Title to the Green Lake District, he also obtained 10 random Architectural Design Plans.

These included three large architectural design plans and seven medium and small architectural design plans, all corresponding to this area’s needs.

The three large buildings have been completed, while the medium and small buildings are still queued up, not completed as quickly.

However, what Gu Xi is currently concerned about is the Training Camp, focusing on how many additional troops he can command.

This arrangement seems quite suitable.

While underwater, Gu Xi rode a Water Dragon Beast; Luna, being a Ghost, naturally floated in the air following him.

Shaya and Eldest Princess Anna each displayed different abilities.

Shaya could run on the water’s surface, while Eldest Princess Anna surprisingly had the ability to fly.

Seeing Gu Xi’s surprised look, Eldest Princess Anna confidently said, ”I know Elemental Magic. I can use the Flying Skill. What’s the problem?”

”No problem.”

Gu Xi was awed by Eldest Princess Anna’s aura, slightly hunched down, and looked around earnestly.

While passing through the Pier District, Gu Xi noticed that although no new buildings had been constructed, the exteriors of the various buildings there had undergone some changes.

This was because the levels of these buildings had been upgraded.

At the same time, in the Pier District, two squads of about a hundred Skeleton Soldiers were patrolling.

These Skeleton Soldiers, wielding longswords and shields, followed behind the Skeleton Boss on their patrols.

From the bloodstains on their armor, it was evident that battles could occur here at any moment.

When Gu Xi looked over there, Luna explained, ”The Wharf Warehouse and Wharf Market here, due to storing a large amount of materials, have been upgraded to Level 2. Meanwhile, the three piers often have some troubles arising.

It’s fair to say that the Pier District, apart from the Magic Plant District, is the spot with the most battles. These two Combat Squads have just been transferred here. Almost every week, we switch two Combat Squads here.

On one hand, it’s to maintain the Pier District’s safety; on the other hand, it’s to give the Undead Bosses a chance to improve themselves.

However, we do have our limits. The Undead Bosses here mainly comprise Skeleton Bosses, and the Combat Squads are primarily made up of Skeleton Soldiers.”

At this point, Gu Xi glanced at the Skeleton Soldiers again. He noticed slight differences in their swords and shields, but their armor was uniformly styled.

It seemed that during Gu Xi’s slumber, the undead forces within the city had undergone some adjustments.

Taking in the scene in his mind, Gu Xi quickly moved on.

Along the way, Gu Xi merely observed without any intent to alter, understanding his current task clearly. He needed to ascertain the resources at his disposal.

Without considering the data at the Assembly Hall, he personally toured these places to witness the present situation.

This time, upon entering the Green Lake District, Gu Xi saw two obvious constructions on the lake’s surface.

One looked like a reef area on the sea, where mermaids swam back and forth occasionally.

The other was a small castle, half submerged in the lake.

These were the Mermaid Garden and the Bay Temple.

As Gu Xi rode the Water Dragon Beast closer to the Bay Temple, twenty cavalry on giant seahorses rushed out.

These Sea Horse Cavalry wore silver-blue armor, skull-shaped masks on their faces, and held silver tridents. Upon rushing out from the Bay Temple, they immediately spotted Gu Xi.

They all froze momentarily before the leading Sea Horse Cavalry raised his trident and saluted Gu Xi.

Gu Xi circled around them before turning to Luna, asking, ”Who are they under the command of now?”

”We currently lack a suitable underwater combat hero or even an underwater combat boss, so there’s no one managing them yet. They only handle the daily patrols of this military in the Green Lake District.

Additionally, they also journey to the Pier District over there to inspect water channels and escort ships in and out of the port.”

While Luna explained the situation of the Sea Horse Cavalry, the mermaids also noticed the situation here and swam over.

Seeing these mermaids, Gu Xi nodded with satisfaction.

This is what mermaids should be like. Compared to the black catfish spirits mentioned by the Black Queen during her last visit, they actually resemble mermaids.

Each of these gathered mermaids held a trident, clearly indicating they also possessed close combat capabilities.

Just as Gu Xi was about to communicate with these mermaids, a large number of floating corpses suddenly bobbed up on the nearby water surface.

These floating corpses were larger than typical bodies, signifying they had transformed into giant specters.

Even a Necromancer like Gu Xi found it somewhat overwhelming to see these floating corpses.

Once these floating corpses appeared, they floated on the water’s surface, their heads turning towards Gu Xi.

Just by looking into their dead fish eyes, Gu Xi knew these were produced from the underwater Corpse Bay.

No matter what, since Gu Xi had come all this way, he surely wanted to see what the underwater Corpse Bay was like.

So Gu Xi patted the Water Dragon Beast, which then carried him downward.

As soon as he descended, Gu Xi saw beneath the water a site of underwater cement piles, gasoline drums, and heaps of torn burlap sacks forming a small mountain. The same type of floating corpses from earlier were crawling out of these heaps, ascending toward the water surface.

Gu Xi had no idea where these cement piles and gasoline drums came from, but this place was visibly expanding.

Gu Xi believed that it wouldn’t be long before the lakebed would be occupied by such things, affecting the style of other underwater structures at that time.

Shaking his head, Gu Xi then commanded the Water Dragon Beast to swim upwards.

As the Water Dragon Beast prepared to surface, Gu Xi noticed sharp bone spikes protruding from the mermaids’ tails.

Clearly, like the Sea Horse Cavalry, the mermaids were gradually affected by the Blood Maple Tree, transitioning from ordinary units to undead units.

For Gu Xi, this actually had little impact. These three units were considered underwater combat forces, more suited for underwater battles.

Whether they were ordinary units or undead units didn’t affect their combat power.

After all, they operated outside Gu Xi’s battle system; they weren’t necessary for land battles, and there was no leader for water battles. Gu Xi could only temporarily coordinate them and wait for future arrangements.

Whether they are undead or not, it truly makes little difference.
