Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 440: Chapter 438: Troop Strength and Deployment (176/191)

Gu Xi confirmed this number several times before he was sure it was correct.

Although he didn’t understand why the number was so high, Gu Xi himself was quite happy.

According to the data he had, most of the more than 15,000-strong Undead Corps were Level 4 or higher, with a few members exceeding Level 6, and even some reaching Level 8.

A portion of these units was divided among the Undead Bosses.

Most of the Undead Bosses were around Level 5, and they could lead around 50 to 60 troops each.

Over a hundred Undead Bosses took away about 5,000 to nearly 6,000 of the Undead Corps.

The troops under these Undead Bosses were rather individualistic, with their Undead Corps aligning towards them.

Even the Skeleton Shooter and Skeleton Mage Bosses were affected in this way.

Among the Skeleton Shooters, there were those equipped with longbows, short bows, light crossbows, and heavy crossbows, essentially every type of shooter existed.

The Skeleton Mages, Zombies, and even Ghosts had similar situations.

Every Undead Boss influenced their troops with their combat style.

Among the remaining troops, there were more than 7,000 basic units consisting of Skeleton Soldiers, Zombies, and Ghosts.

Among these, the Rose Corps occupied 2,000, the Black Spear Camp and Bone-Slaying Camp each occupied 2,000.

In the remaining 3,000 troops, there were 1,500 Skeleton Soldiers, 1,200 Zombies, plus more than 600 Ghosts.

All of these were standardized, with all the Skeleton Soldiers, Zombies, and Ghosts undergoing an enhancement; they all now had the appearance of standard units.

One could say they were ready for battle in any unit they joined.

If not for the insufficient number of Skeleton Mages and Skeleton Shooters, there might have been more of them in these units.

Subsequently, the nearly 2,000 troops left were scattered Undead troops, along with some powerful beings that were not part of the Undead.

For instance, Stone Golems, Minotaurs, and Red Dragons.

The strength of these troops varied, but their presence enriched the strategies available to Gu Xi, allowing him to find an approach to handle any situation using these troop types.

Seeing so many troops, a slight smile appeared on Gu Xi’s face.

This time, something big could definitely be undertaken.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi stood up, ”Everyone, you see the forces in the city now, and our options have become more numerous. I’ve decided to launch an attack on two already active periods at Yalidu City.

This matter will be handled by Di Mi.

Amirka, I will try to help you with your matter, but I’ve always wondered, doesn’t the Scarlet Temple require an Armory?

I just checked, and it seems the city hasn’t built an Armory yet.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s question, Amirka immediately stood up, ”Master, we utilized a temporary Armory created at Barracks Level 3 to establish the Scarlet Temple.

We just need to build the Scarlet Temple’s dedicated Armory within a year.

However, if it exceeds this timeframe, the Scarlet Temple will be affected.

Also, the attack and defense capabilities of the Scarlet Knights from the Scarlet Temple are not at their peak currently.”

”The Barracks have such a function?”

After listening to Amirka’s explanation, Gu Xi was a bit surprised.

”Yes, the Barracks can now re-equip thirty thousand Undead Soldiers. Additionally, with the Blacksmith Shop’s efforts, we have a surplus of weapons, so a temporary Armory was established.

This resolves the re-equipping issue, though it does not enhance the combat power attributes of troops in the city.”

Amirka paused here because the city’s troops have received numerous combat power enhancements in other areas, making the absence of an Armory temporarily ineffectual.

However, he reminded Gu Xi that the Armory is also a key part of the temple; even if there isn’t one currently, it must be added later.

”I understand, it’s likely there won’t be just one temple. Even if you don’t mention it, subsequent temples will need Armories, and the forces in Yalidu City will only grow larger, constantly relying on the Barracks’ Armory isn’t sustainable.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi mention that there would certainly be more than one temple, Amirka’s eyes lit up.

”Master, will there be other temples in the future?”

”Of course, isn’t there already a Bay Temple in the Green Lake District?

Although the cavalry it produces are ones you cannot lead, they are indeed cavalry.”

Amirka laughed wryly when he heard this. Those Sea Horse Cavalry were indeed cavalry, just incapable of land combat.

However, Amirka understood Gu Xi’s attitude, and there would certainly be other temples in the future.

It is likely that there will be other Knight Orders by then.

Thinking of this, Amirka said again, ”Master...”

”I will arrange the matter of the Knight Orders, but I cannot place all the Knights into a single Knight Order.”

Amirka understood that Knights were considered a high-tier troop, and regardless of the type, they required substantial investment.

Thus, Gu Xi would create a Scarlet Knight Order once the Red Knight number exceeded a hundred, for such reasons.

Therefore, Gu Xi would not place two different types of Knights under a single hero’s command.

Even if the hero could eventually become a Leader, it was not permissible.

In Gu Xi’s vision, upon achieving Leader Level, Amirka could command a Knight Order, complemented by three Combat Corps, two Composite Corps, and one Defense Corps.

This would be a suitable configuration.

Similarly, Di Mi would eventually reach this setup as well.

A Leader Level can support seven heroes; once they achieve Leader Level, they can command seven corps.

Whether these are Combat Corps or Composite Corps depends on the combat styles of these leaders.

Currently, neither Di Mi nor Amirka has demonstrated strength beyond Hero Level, making such considerations of little use to Gu Xi and them.

After a straightforward reply, Gu Xi added: ”Amirka, I can give you time to wait until the Scarlet Knight Order is established, but when the Knight Order is formed, handling Yalidu City, left for selection by Di Mi, falls to you.

So during this period, you need to continue training soldiers, don’t stay at the Scarlet Temple all day. Your presence there doesn’t expedite soldier production without materials.”

After this, Gu Xi looked over at the remaining four heroes.

”When there is no need for combat, I want every day to have two heroes clearing the mist out of the Yaliduvi Tower and the Magic Plant District, you can arrange the timing yourselves, but I want to see results.”
