Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 441: Chapter 439: The Next Step

Aside from the six heroes, the hundred or so undead bosses cannot be left idle either, Gu Xi thought for a moment and turned to Luna to ask.

”How many military tasks does the barracks currently arrange each day?”

”A level 3 barracks can conduct ten military tasks simultaneously. Now the military tasks require more; aside from having a boss-level leader, to counter possible enemies, it also needs hero-level undead to fight.”

Before Luna could speak, the Eldest Princess Anna began to speak proactively.

Gu Xi glanced at the three of them, and understood the situation at a glance.

It seems that during his slumber, Luna and the three had already agreed upon their division of labor.

Luna manages the construction of Yalidu City.

Shaya is responsible for intelligence, possibly also undertaking assassination or bodyguard duties.

The Eldest Princess Anna handles personnel arrangements, and even major battles will be under her charge.

The patrol of the undead corps within the city and military tasks, should be the Eldest Princess Anna’s responsibility.

”Ten tasks, meaning every boss has tasks to do, rotating over, it would take about ten days, although some bosses follow behind the heroes.

But the growth of bosses is key to enhancing our combat power.

We need to mobilize these bosses.

We cannot let them wait here; they need experience and growth too.”

Anna, the Eldest Princess, understood Gu Xi’s words.

”I will handle this, but sir, I need you to grant me authority. This is not about one or two hundred undead soldiers, it’s a corps of over six thousand, which occupies nearly a third of the forces in Yalidu City.

If we include the imminent Era War, these forces will become the core.

You are now the master of the city; whether or not you have the grasp to control everything, there are some powers you must hold.”

What the Eldest Princess Anna spoke of was some of the common sense she learned from a young age, but in Gu Xi’s ears, it was like the gateway to another world.

Gu Xi was carefully learning, after all, he once only aspired to become an undead mage; leading one or two hundred undead was his limit.

Now over a hundred undead corps of a city are in his hands.

Meanwhile in the city, there are increasingly more undead residents, all of which he hasn’t learned about before.

Now he can only squeeze in time to learn.

Every point the Eldest Princess Anna mentioned, he learned and slowly assimilated some things into his bone.

”I will grant you the authority, but only limited to peacetime. During wartime, all forces need to be concentrated at the three city gates, awaiting my deployment.”

After arranging things, Gu Xi said to Luna and the others.

”Next, I will go to the Mysterious Academy to study. Based on the current situation, I may need about thirty days.

During these thirty days, Luna, you three should proceed as we discussed before, hoping that when I return, Yalidu City will have undergone even more significant changes.”

Regarding going to the Mysterious Academy for study, Gu Xi had already mentioned it before his slumber.

So, everyone was aware.

Just going to study, not to war, Gu Xi did not need to take a large troop force, thus arranging the corps and letting Di Mi commence the battle.

In his thinking, by the time he returns, at least a generation of Yalidu City should have been conquered.

By then, his Yalidu City would have expanded considerably.

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, Luna and the other three reacted quite calmly.

Only Shaya stepped forward, ”Sir, do you need me to accompany as a personal bodyguard?”

”No need, I can manage alone. If there’s a need, I will deploy the city gate. What happens in Yalidu City will be entirely up to you all.”

”Rest assured, sir.”

”Rest assured!”

Luna and the Eldest Princess Anna responded immediately.

Only Shaya retreated a bit unwillingly, finally replying: ”I understand.”

Gu Xi glanced at them with a smile, then spoke to Shaya: ”Shaya, you are my contracted undead; this will never change.

But you too need to find your own path. Look at Luna now controlling the construction of Yalidu City, but she has her own mysterious mirror image space.

In the mirror realm, she possesses abilities beyond everyone else.

Even I can borrow some of her abilities through the mirror.

You cannot only stand behind me; you need to learn to stand out too.”

Shaya gave Gu Xi a look, lifted her head, and smiled at Gu Xi, ”Sir, I understand.”

Subsequently, Gu Xi gave the Eldest Princess Anna a nod, then took out a golden ticket-like item.

After glancing at the ticket in his hand, Gu Xi looked over at his subordinates sitting there, fished out a thumb-sized tea leaf from his pocket, placed it in his mouth, and then drank some water.

Holding the tea in his mouth, Gu Xi silently chanted in his heart: ”Study Leadership Skill!”

And then he tore the ticket apart.

The next instant, Gu Xi vanished in front of everyone’s eyes.

Watching Gu Xi leave, Luna and the other two exchanged glances.

”You’ve all seen the situation clearly now, right? Moving forward, the two most important tasks are the construction of Yalidu City and the battle with Di Mi across the lands.

This is Di Mi’s first expedition for us, and many areas aren’t quite complete. This poses an opportunity, logistics supplies, expedition routes, and all, we’re all novices; all of this needs to be put in place.”

It was the Eldest Princess Anna who spoke.

Only she was accustomed to such occasions; if it were Luna, she might directly give orders or even directly lead the charge personally.

While the Eldest Princess Anna would explain her vision to the heroes through various means.

Such is the behavioral habit of individuals.

Originally born on a leadership skill path, even transformed into a witch demon, her habits remained.

Whereas Luna was originally this city’s elf, living alone for many years, even dying alone for many years.

To have her encourage everyone would be laughable.

So, the arrangement of things fell into the hands of the Eldest Princess Anna. She really used the assembly hall as a barracks, arranging everyone under her.

Of course, she also knew how to delegate and did not micromanage every boss, only delineated several areas and inquired about the timing of troop dispatch.

As for where to fight, it was entirely up to Di Mi’s choice.

Di Mi planned to first lead troops to Yaliduvi Tower, to see her new best friend, the Headless Queen, and inquire about the situation from her.

As for the timing of troop dispatch, they still needed three more days to replenish forces and weapons. Additionally, Di Mi needed siege weapons, and it was perfect to prepare within these three days.
