Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 425: Chapter 423: Rewarded Purple Equipment

The items these top levels hold in their hands are truly plentiful; just a few casual exchanges and they’ve settled matters.

Gu Xi listened, given what they’re offering, he indeed has a chance to obtain the Death Decree skill.

As for not getting it, that’s just Gu Xi’s bad luck, and no one else can be blamed for that.

Regarding other rewards, those were the ones promised to Gu Xi from the start, allowing him to gain skill experience up to level 4. This was initially promised in the Ghost Soul Pass Trial Ground, or the second floor of the Rising Sun Magic Tower, or the Forbidden Book Area in the Radiant Library for access for three days.

Only now, it’s quite decisive, with everything open to Gu Xi. As long as he has the time, he can improve all of his skills to level 4 here without any issue.

This is an investment in Gu Xi, as well as a way to win him over.

Then there’s the matter of the Purple Equipment. Although many players currently don’t have Purple Equipment in their hands, for a large guild, one or two pieces of Purple Equipment are still available.

It’s just that their attributes aren’t great, the negative effects are too strong, so many people can’t use them.

All these people here have a piece of Purple Equipment, especially the three major families; each has its own legacy Purple Equipment.

This is the kind of Purple Equipment that the family has studied for a long time, with all negative effects worn away, and they already know how to utilize it.

This kind of Purple Equipment is passed down from generation to generation in their family, truly something that can guarantee the family’s wealth.

As long as the guild leader doesn’t give away this type of Purple Equipment, they have no objections.

And this time the guild leader wasn’t stingy, he directly asked Gu Xi.

”What kind of Purple Equipment do you want?”

If it were before, Gu Xi would definitely consider himself a bit, thinking of getting some personal equipment.

But ever since his conscience was pricked and he arranged Purple Equipment for his Contracted Undead, his requirements for Purple Equipment have become less demanding.

”Anything goes, as long as the negative effects aren’t too strong.”

The guild leader laughed heartily upon hearing this, pointing at Gu Xi.

”You, I’m most afraid of people who say anything goes like you. How about this, I’ll open the Purple Equipment vault, and you can go in and pick one.”

”But don’t expect ones with minor negative effects, our guild has had only four such legacy Purple Equipment over the years.”

Hearing this, the other higher-ups also laughed aloud, as they all knew what was kept within the Purple Equipment vault.

The guild leader beckoned to Gu Xi, leading him out.

They walked out of the large conference room, down the stairs, all the way down, finally arriving at the underground of the administrative building.

As they entered the underground passage, Gu Xi noticed that the nearby light seemed to dim quite a bit.

The guild leader, somewhat serious at this point, said, ”What follows is the guild’s key defense area. The mechanisms inside here, even I can’t handle them, so you mustn’t mess around.”

Gu Xi wasn’t the kind to jump around wildly; in this kind of situation, Gu Xi was quite obedient.

Very soon, they arrived at the first room door in the underground passage.

Gu Xi noticed an old monkey completely bald sitting there.

The old monkey was holding a wine gourd in his hand, and when he saw the guild leader coming over, he just rolled his eyes at him and turned away as if he hadn’t seen him.

The guild leader just smiled in response and pushed open the room door.

But Gu Xi could feel that this old monkey, like the Fierce Weasel, was also one of the guild leader’s subordinates.

This monkey is not among the Five Immortals then.

Gu Xi’s thoughts involuntarily wandered elsewhere.

Just then, the guild leader had already pushed the big door open, ”Come inside, there are in total one hundred and three pieces of Purple Equipment here, take your pick, take whichever you like.”

”So many?”

Gu Xi was a little surprised, given the attitude of those players he had seen, he always felt there would not be so many Purple Equipment available.

”Where is that much, from Level 5 to Level 10 dungeons, clearing one will produce a piece of Purple Equipment. Our guild can challenge such dungeons three to four times annually, and many good Purple Equipment have been taken by others.

These are the ones no one wanted, eventually transitioned to the guild, serving as the guild’s resources.”

Gu Xi then realized, it really does seem so.

It’s just that most of the players Gu Xi previously encountered were below level 4, it’s only natural they didn’t have any Purple Equipment.

Seeing so many Purple Equipment, Gu Xi swiftly adjusted some of his views towards being a Middle-tier Necromancer.

At the same time, he quickly began checking out the properties of the Purple Equipment there.

Most of the Purple Equipment in this room were dungeon products, with many Purple Equipment being sets, or duplicates.

And the negative effects were quite severe.

Gu Xi looked through for quite a while, finally locking onto one of them among the numerous Purple Equipment.

It was a jet-black Three-Headed Flail, with all three heads of the flail made from cast-iron skulls, and embedded with nails. The eyes spun, and the tongues were retractable.

[Description: Desunap, a Witch with three heads, rumored to have turned into a Ghoul, though no one knows if it’s true.]

This Three-Headed Flail, Gu Xi didn’t intend to use it himself; he looked at the attributes and felt that this weapon would be more suitable for Eldest Princess Anna.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, Eldest Princess Anna initially should be a Saintess kind of existence, fitting to follow the path of a Priest. However, she has now turned into a Witch Demon, so she should be regarded in the manner of a Witch Demon.

A suitable close combat weapon for a Witch Demon is quite a surprise for Eldest Princess Anna.

As for these negative effects, a living Necromancer might worry, but a Witch Demon who has already died once really doesn’t need to care about them.
