Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Everyone seemed to daze for a moment, and after realizing the crisis had descended, they hurriedly tore open space, preparing to escape the Expansion Realm.

“Exactly what have these damned witches done!”

Cursing, the Wizards stepped into spatial rifts in terror.

Other Elves and Holy Angels also fled one after another.

Everything in the Expansion Realm was seemingly left behind them.

After the Wizards, with lingering fear, settled their emotions slightly, they began to curse directly as a vent.

After venting his emotions, this Wizard named Elton Claire looked at the familiar scene and suddenly realized that he seemed to have returned to the Wizard Academy, and this place was even his own Wizard Tower.

“No... I can’t swallow this... Those witches actually plotted against us like this. Do they really think we academic Wizards who ran to the front lines are useless?”

Elton opened the door and left the laboratory on the topmost floor of the Wizard Tower.

But just as the door opened, a familiar figure appeared before him.

“Why are you here...”

Elton froze for a moment, looking at this familiar face.

He suddenly felt a surge of anger.

“Weren’t you together with me over in the Expansion Realm? Why did you return ahead of time! Did I tell you to return!”

“Mentor Elton, we...”

“Don’t give me explanations. I see you shouldn’t think about being a Tower Keeper anymore. Get lost.”

Elton kicked the figure before him away in anger.

But even he did not notice that the person he kicked away in his rage didn’t even have an injury.

Looking at the angrily departing Elton, that person even revealed an eerie smile.

Elton walked to the stairs.

The stairs within the Wizard Tower were a spiral staircase, continuing a retro masonry structure, and were overall quite dark.

At intervals, sorcery tools with constant-light sorcery structures were needed for supplemental lighting.

Elton inadvertently passed by the window on one side of the staircase.

Looking at a corner of the dim academy outside the Wizard Tower, he still felt some lingering fear at this moment.

It was as if the stairs he had always been familiar with were seemingly pushing forward against his inertia, yet he still hadn’t reached the floor he foresaw.

Furthermore... clearly he was going down the stairs, yet he felt as much strain as if he were climbing them.

But with his Transcendent-level life tier, his own physical strength should have long surpassed the stage where he would get tired from going up or down stairs, shouldn’t it?

Thinking of this, Elton suddenly broke out in a cold sweat!

Was there another Wizard who had deployed a space-type staircase cycle sorcery in his own Wizard Tower?!

That was impossible!

Elton stopped his footsteps.

After breaking out in a cold sweat, what followed was not lingering fear, but anger!

The reaction just now belonged to the instinct of having just escaped death, while the anger was because this kind of method playing tricks before him was simply an insult to his IQ.

Because... this was his Wizard Tower!

A Wizard Tower was a Wizard’s foundation, and even more the property of a Transcendent Wizard.

Here, in terms of Wizard Tower permissions, he was the greatest.

But after he deployed his power to resonate with the Wizard Tower, he suddenly discovered that his power had weakened.

Not only that, no matter what he did, he seemingly had completely lost contact with this Wizard Tower!

“This... this is impossible!”

Before this power that he was most proud of, “reality” had played a massive joke on him.

He climbed upward like a madman; he had to reach the Wizard Tower control center on the topmost floor.

Something must have gone wrong somewhere!

If something went wrong with his Wizard Tower and it couldn’t be repaired within a short time... he simply didn’t dare to imagine what would happen!

But no matter how he climbed upward, he seemingly could never reach that end.

An invisible sense of oppression accumulated bit by bit in his heart, urging him to fight for his life constantly.

Until a certain moment, he seemed to think of something.

He could tear open a spatial rift!

He waved the Wizard staff in his hand. Space-tearing Wizard positioning... spatial framework positioning... spatial marker activation...

After a series of operations, he only managed to tear open a spatial rift with great difficulty.

He no longer had the luxury to care why his power had become so difficult that even tearing open a spatial rift was this hard......

Shouldn’t he be a Transcendent Wizard!

The instinct of his real touch could even let him touch the texture of space...

But at this moment, everything gave him no time for thought.

For unknown reasons, he even fell while passing through the spatial rift due to a bodily imbalance.

Thus... he fell heavily to the ground.

Only, when he raised his head to scramble up, his expression finally changed.

The place he had arrived at was not the topmost Wizard Tower control center, but the hall on the middle-lower floor of the Wizard Tower!

How could such a low-level error occur?

A formal Wizard Tower of a Transcendent Wizard was actually very large, and based on the different directions of a Wizard’s research, it had countless functional partitions.

And this meant that a Wizard Tower required a large number of Wizard apprentices to operate, and every level also needed a Tower Keeper as a manager to serve the Transcendent Wizard Tower Lord.

At this moment, his wretched appearance was seen by all these low-tier Wizard apprentices.

The frustration and anger originating from his heart filled his mind.

An inexplicable something constantly magnified the dark side within his heart.

“What are you all gathering here for! Do you want to rebel!”

Elton scrambled up from the ground, his whole person trembling with rage.

But clearly, his shout did not seem to achieve the effect he expected.

Those Wizard apprentices he usually ordered around, those fellows who usually didn’t dare to have any complaints, were surprisingly quiet today......

Why did it have to be at this time!

Elton looked at this group of Wizard apprentices; their faces were becoming hideous...

In their midst, he even saw people who shouldn’t exist!

Those people who should have long been forgotten in the corners of his memory, those apprentices who had become neither human nor ghost because of a casual experiment of his...

They crawled toward him with ugly, non-human postures.

“Mentor Elton... do you still remember what you once did to us?”

“You group of lowly apprentices, it is your honor to be the test subjects of a great Transcendent Wizard! What! Do you actually want to resist me!”

As Elton spoke these angry words, they earned the ruthless mockery of these apprentices.

Their appearances became even more distorted.

And his own vision also became more abstract.

Countless past memories that made him afraid oppressed his cognition, leaving him no luxury to care about the rationality of current events.

Everything only served to shape the imagery of fear within Elton’s heart, striking directly at his most fearful and fragile essence.

At this moment, where was any Wizard Academy?

Everything outside the Wizard Tower turned into unorderly information drifting away, and those “Wizard apprentices” also completely lost their current forms, transforming into dream creatures with bizarre postures, lunging forward like a dense school of fish to bite the prey they were staring at!

The illusion of the dream state completely shattered before Elton’s eyes.

There was no Wizard Tower...

His so-called escape was merely a beautiful fantasy produced after falling into the deep Primal Dream State.

However, even such a fantasy finally transformed into nutrients devoured by endless dream creatures.

***

Such tragedies were still playing out at every moment.

And the treatment of being besieged by so many dream creatures was unique to the Top of the Sky Abyss, the breakthrough point where the Primal Dream State descended.

But the rippling Primal Dream State poured back into the reality of the Expansion Realm, affecting more than half of the Expansion Realm.

Even the Ninglan territory, so far from the Top of the Sky Abyss, was affected.

But fortunately, the shelters and regions affected did not have a massive amount of deep-layer dream creatures, so they at most had their consciousness forced into the shallow Primal Dream State.

Only the shelters relatively close to the Top of the Sky Abyss encountered the most severe situations.

“Is this... the Dream Calamity?”

At this moment, Bev Ailana looked at this purgatory she was in.

She was facing that stretch of the Primal Dream State head-on.

She only felt a blur before her eyes, and subsequently, she appeared in such a place.

“Hehe... Hahaha! This truly is too interesting!”

Bev Ailana clenched her fists and directly transformed into a massive black dragon, facing those monsters that were constantly coming toward her.

These monsters were not only very peculiar, but their numbers were as continuous as an ocean tide.

This was simply the best battlefield prepared for her!

But the more excited she became, the less power she felt she could dominate.

However, she remained entirely unafraid, treating it as a debuff ability attached to those monsters.

“Come! Bring more! Do you really think I’m afraid of you!”

Bev Ailana shook off the monster biting the claw of her dragon form and spat out a breath of dragon breath.

But the dragon breath, which was normally invincible, was like removing dead skin for these monsters.

“Hehe... magic immunity? Then how about Classic Mechanics!”

Bev Ailana gave a disdainful cold snort.

The dragon claws of her dragon form stepped on the ground, molten cracks glinting with a dangerous aura.

Her claws suddenly pulled a stone sword forged from molten boulders from the ground...

BOOM—!

This giant stone sword, which could barely be considered “handy,” destroyed those monsters physically using what Bev Ailana called Classic Mechanics.

Some even transformed into the true forms of dream creatures and fled, though Bev Ailana did not notice these.

Those dream creatures were very restless, yet they still didn’t dare to step forward, as if waiting for this fellow before them to fall into a deeper layer of the Primal Dream State.

The dream creatures that had bitten Bev Ailana earlier left in disgust.

The fellow before them... didn’t produce a single sliver of fear or other negative emotions at all.

And more importantly... this fellow’s essence was not the soul-substance they loved... they couldn’t achieve their goal of sharing and eating her...

Since they couldn’t share and eat her and she would bring them endless trouble, for a time, many dream creatures followed their instincts and left the place.

“Don’t run! Haha! It’s time for me to show my—”

Before Bev Ailana could finish, she felt a hand rest on her shoulder.

“Calm down! Don’t be impulsive!”

“Who?”

Bev Ailana was still in high spirits.

She turned around abruptly, but saw a familiar figure.

“Old Witch Mei? You’ve finally come! Haha it’s really fun here!”

“If I hadn’t come, you would likely have died here!”

Mei Linde looked at this out-of-tune fellow before her.

Her hand couldn’t help but form a fist and hit the other’s head hard.

“Stop playing! You are constantly falling into the depths of the Primal Dream State! Do you not feel your power is continuously weakening!”

“Weakening?”

Reminded of this, Bev Ailana also calmed down slightly.

“I thought those monsters were putting debuff spells on me.”

“Weakening indeed! I see there really is a debuff spell; the thing being debuffed must be your brain! Grab my hand.”

Mei Linde crossly picked up Bev Ailana, then prepared to leave the place.

No matter what was said, she was a Transcendent Witch who had entered the Primal Dream State several times.

Even if she lost her Grand Spellbook, she still possessed the power of the Great Project of the Soul.

After all, the current Great Project of the Soul was as important as the Great Witch Project, being the two hurdles that must be crossed to advance to a Transcendent Witch.

Subsequently, Bev Ailana just held Mei Linde’s hand like that, letting the other pick her up.

Until she saw Bai Yu.

“Hey Little Bai!”

“Academy Head Bev, you almost scared me to death just now.”

At this moment, Bai Yu didn’t have many movements.

Because she was adapting to the current Primal Dream State, she naturally didn’t dare to be as reckless as Bev Ailana had just been.

“See, aren’t I fine Haha! That moment just now was too satisfying...”

After Bev Ailana finished her sentiment, she looked at Mei Linde again.

“Old Witch Mei, are we going to return to reality now? There really was no feeling; I didn’t even notice when I entered the dream.”

“Return to reality?”

Mei Linde’s tone was very bad as she retorted.

“Hmm?”

Bev Ailana looked at Mei Linde in some confusion.

“What do you mean? Are we going to do something else in the Primal Dream State? I know you all like to collect this data and information; you’ve always done that before. But as a witch who understands nothing, shouldn’t you throw me back first?”

“Academy Head Mei means that we can’t go back. At least not within a short period can we find a way back to reality.”

At this moment, Bai Yu reminded her from the side.

“......Ah?”

After several seconds of silence, Bev Ailana finally let out an “Ah?” and even her gaze toward Mei Linde appeared quite clear and bewildered.

“Can’t go back? What’s the situation? Old Witch Mei! Don’t lie to me! You’ve boasted to me before about how you went in and out of the Primal Dream State seven times without any trouble. Now that we’re in, you’re dropping the ball?!”

“Dropping the ball? Was the Primal Dream State I went to before! SAME! as this one!”

Mei Linde suddenly used her other hand to rhythmically tap Bev Ailana’s head.

“And who was it just now who kept sinking into the depths of the Primal Dream State! Do you really not know what death is?”

“Uh... ah? I... I did that?”

Bev Ailana pointed to herself in hindsight, seemingly realizing she had done something not quite right.

“It has little to do with you. If you were even more willful just now, you would just have been lost faster. After we entered the Primal Dream State... there was nearly a ninety percent probability of being lost. It’s just a matter of sooner or later.”

“So... one way or another, we’re finished? Old Witch Mei... you’re actually playing this big this time? Exactly what have you all done? You didn’t even tell me.”

“Whether we’re finished... that’s hard to say. In the worst case, we can still ask Lord Primal Witch to fish us out. But... I think we are likely to witness a miracle next.”

After Mei Linde finished her words, her gaze turned toward Bai Yu on the side.
