Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Regarding this request of theirs, even I found it difficult to respond immediately.

It wasn’t that I was unwilling to grant them strength, but rather that even now… I possessed no strength.

This was the Primal Dream State; having broken away from the order and rules of reality, I couldn’t even release ordinary spells.

Because the rules here did not apply, and the concept of rune rituals was also distorted within the dream.

As for the power of the two Grand Spellbooks… under the ability of anchoring to reality, they could only affect myself.

Furthermore, these two Grand Spellbooks were not offensive spells.

“Apologies… all of this was too presumptuous of me… seeking strength from Sage Xiao Han the moment we met…”

“Truly sorry, Village Chief, everything here is very foreign to us.”

At this moment, Fool’s Blue also spoke from the side.

“Ah… the three Heroes…”

The Village Chief looked at Fool’s Blue as she spoke, suddenly realizing she had somewhat neglected the three Heroes.

However, the posture of these three Heroes, acting as if they no longer recognized them, truly made her feel great regret.

Back then, what kind of determination did this group of warriors hold to be able to step out of a peaceful place like Fool’s Village and seek that final sliver of possibility within the boundless Primal Dream State?

As the Village Chief, she naturally knew the “Picture Scroll story” that occurred at that time.

The Village Chief of that time had tried her best to make them stay, but they still resolutely went to seek the final sliver of hope for the Fool’s Dream race.

As the Village Chief, how could she not know that stepping out of Fool’s Village meant being constantly eroded by endless Nightmares?

They could only rely on the Sacred Object to continuously maintain their own consciousness, using a stubborn will to resist the distortion of the Nightmares……

Without the Dream Picture Scroll to carry their memories, it was inevitable that the Heroes would forget all of this.

But the fact that they found the Sage meant that the persistence originating from their conscious instincts still allowed them to find hope for the Fool’s Dream race!

“Apologies, it’s not that I am unwilling to bestow strength upon you, but rather that I am unclear on how to bestow strength upon you,” I spoke with a hint of apology.

“I come from reality, which I told you before, and the number of times I have come to this Primal Dream State is not many. The power I originally mastered cannot exert its due might here.”

“But… you master the Sacred Object! The power of the Sacred Object…”

Speaking to this point, the Village Chief’s voice gradually lowered.

“Yes… I still master the Sacred Object.”

Hearing what the Village Chief said, I also thought of many things.

“However…… you address me as the Sage, so I naturally will not fail your expectations!”

“Just as you said before, a Sage possesses profound wisdom and masters countless knowledge. Therefore, wisdom is my power, and knowledge is my weapon! But I need time to crack the mysteries hidden behind knowledge before I can transform it into actual power.”

“Really?!”

Just moments ago, hearing that I couldn’t provide them with aid, this Village Chief was still somewhat dejected.

But upon hearing me say this, she became filled with hope!

“Mhm, naturally it is true,” I nodded and promised.

Regardless of whether I encountered this group of unexpected Fool’s Dreams this time, I would continuously explore the “rules” of the Primal Dream State and utilize them.

It was just that I now had a group of Fool’s Dreams with me.

Being called by them with a title like “Sage Xiao Han the Great”… truly, no one could withstand that……

“Wonderful! I… I will go tell everyone in Fool’s Village this good news right now, and let everyone hold a grand banquet for you, Sage!”

“There’s really no need to be so formal,” I hurriedly waved my hand and spoke.

This made me think back to when we were in the Fool’s Village Secret Realm of the Witch Academy; those cute Fool’s Dreams also seemed to love holding banquets and such for visitors.

“This is a return gift for your arrival, Sage, and for your promise to help our Fool’s Dream race! Otherwise, we really wouldn’t know how to thank you…”

“Alright then…”

I didn’t forcefully make them stop this behavior.

Sometimes, when arriving at a place, following the local customs seemed like a good choice.

After all, who could refuse such a group of cute Fool’s Dreams?

Watching the Village Chief leave like that, even leaving me and the Dream Picture Scroll alone on this Starlight Tower, I couldn’t help but sigh at the innocence of the Fool’s Dreams.

However…… I would not betray their trust.

Because no matter what kind of consideration I had, I would not take away the Dream Picture Scroll at this moment to use it for perfecting my Tree of Wisdom’s Enlightenment.

I merely gazed at that long Picture Scroll, lost in thought.

I was pondering problems.

For example… is everything I see now real or fake?

Why are the images of these Fool’s Dreams all the images I molded for them?

Or rather, is this a characteristic of the dream state?

Not only does language skip the level of textual understanding, but even what is seen skips the level of visual cognition.

Making everything conform to my cognition, just like when I first arrived in the Primal Dream State and couldn’t see those dream creatures, while the Fool’s Dreams could.

Whether one can see, whether what one sees is familiar… these concepts had long been blurred.

After all, what was here was only my consciousness, and even my five senses were derivative products of habitual cognition within my consciousness…

Everything here could no longer be understood using the logic of reality.

“Big Sis Xiao Han…”

At this moment, Fool’s Blue pulled at the hem of my skirt.

“What’s wrong?”

I crouched down, stroking Yu Lan’s little head as I inquired: “Do you feel a bit unadjusted here?”

“Um… I’m a bit unadjusted… but there is also a hint of instinctive intimacy here……”

“Maybe you, Yu Yun, and Yu Guo—the three of you—including everyone back at the Witch Academy, all came out from here, you know?”

I spoke.

“Is that true? We have no impression of it at all… so many sisters suddenly appeared…”

“I know you are a bit uneasy, and some facts may indeed be irrefutable. But I don’t want you to force yourselves to accept all this. You are still the Fool’s Dreams I know, and the time you spent with me is all real. We only arrived here under the anchoring of the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell.”

“Then… are they sisters just like us? How should we view them……”

The three little ones were clearly caught in a dilemma right now.

This was a type of bewilderment born from facing a lost past.

Everything happening was too magical, to the point that they found it somewhat difficult to accept.

“They can certainly be.”

I stroked Yu Lan’s little head to comfort her.

“Once I finish the True Life project and let you, and the Fool’s Dream race, become a true living race, then they can also become true Fool’s Dreams, can’t they?”

“Is that so?”

“Is it not? You are all working hard to become true lives. Addressing yourselves as Fool’s Dreams, distinguished from ordinary dream creatures, you have a unified goal and a unified dream. Then why can’t they be your sisters? Even if you have forgotten them and they don’t remember your existence, can’t the relationship start anew?”

“Start anew?”

“That’s right walking all this way, haven’t you seen many Fool’s Dreams? They are living very fulfilling lives here. Don’t you want to become friends like them?”

I continued to output.

“But… we want to go back to reality with you, Big Sis Xiao Han… the dream… we don’t like it here in the dream…”

“Of course we’re going back to reality but that doesn’t stop you from becoming their friends. Become friends, and then together you can lead them to become true lives, to become the true Fool’s Dream race and come to reality. Wouldn’t that be good?”

I did my utmost to guide them into understanding this.

Perhaps the Fool’s Dreams couldn’t think that deeply, but I could guide them to work hard.

“Mhm, okay!”

Yu Lan and the other two Fool’s Dreams also nodded repeatedly, seemingly approving of this explanation.

In the end, whether many things are accepted is merely a matter of looking at the excuses one finds for oneself and whether one can accept them.

Just as I was comforting the Fool’s Dreams, a brand-new image suddenly surfaced upon the Dream Picture Scroll in the sky above the Starlight Tower where we were.

The Dream Picture Scroll did not preserve so-called memories for the Fool’s Dreams in Fool’s Village using time as a scale.

Instead, it used event nodes.

After all, the concept of time in a dream state is very abstract; only event nodes leave a deep impression.

On the Dream Picture Scroll, a dark scene was suddenly depicted.

Subsequently, the sky seemed to split open with a gap, and creations distorted like monsters were drawn onto the Picture Scroll.

Even this kind of innocent and cute art style could not save the ferocity of the monsters.

They were like wolves entering a sheepfold, beginning to wantonly endanger the safety of every Fool’s Dream.

“What exactly is going on?”

I looked at the Picture Scroll in shock, finding it somewhat unbelievable.

How could such a thing suddenly happen in this short period?

Then, after I moved closer, I discovered there were also records like narration on it.

“Fool’s Village, which had been peaceful for a long time, welcomed its long-lost Heroes. The Heroes led the Sage into Fool’s Village, and the Sage gave a promise to protect Fool’s Village……”

“But no Fool’s Dream discovered that after the Sage arrived in Fool’s Village, the concept of Fool’s Village was briefly exposed, attracting countless evil existences to invade Fool’s Village. They opened their ferocious maws and attacked the Fool’s Dreams who were preparing a banquet for the Sage. The disaster at Fool’s Village has begun……”

“Damn it… there’s even a blunder like this?”

I looked at the monologue on the Picture Scroll and understood what the situation was.

Because of my arrival, the “location” of Fool’s Village in the Primal Dream State was temporarily exposed.

So… those dream creatures just entered like that?

Although these dream creatures were nothing to me in a shallow dream, right now we were in the Primal Dream State!

That could be lethal!

Furthermore, I had previously learned from the Village Chief about the Nightmares carried by those dream creatures; for the Fool’s Dreams, it was a “curse” to be avoided at all costs.

Aren’t these wolves entering the sheepfold?

At this moment, I leaned over the Starlight Tower to gaze at the location where we came from.

This was the highest point of Fool’s Village, allowing one to take in the entire village at a glance.

At the distant main gate of Fool’s Village, a visible “commotion” had indeed appeared.

“Let’s go! We have to go help them!”

I made a prompt decision, no longer dallying, and prepared to leap down from the high tower.

But the moment I was about to jump, I hesitated.

This was a dream, not reality.

If it were reality, I would have many ways to fly or even teleport directly.

But these spellbooks and spells had no effect whatsoever in the Primal Dream State.

Even the physical strength of Body Cultivation…

Therefore, in the end, I didn’t gamble, but instead led the Fool’s Dreams directly down the stairs.

In a dream, the essence of individual strength no longer seemed to follow the same principles as reality.

A powerful surface—that which power needs to express—must be an essential power.

Even with spells, what is powerful is the energy.

Simply put, a spell is a means, or a technique, for utilizing Transcendent energy.

But there is no Transcendent energy in a dream, nor is there actual matter.

So this was the fundamental reason why spells and Body Cultivation could not be used.

Then what is there in a dream?

While rushing over, I urged myself to quickly think of a way.

If there was no way, even if I rushed over, it would just be like delivering food to the enemy.

So in the final analysis, the spells that could be used in dreams previously had the framework of reality as the foundation for the dream’s rule structure.

Once deep into the Primal Dream State, information channels between reality and the dream could not be established in such a deep dream.

So… what does a dream have?

I thought of my other spell, which was the “Dream Rewrite Spell.”

Although this was still within the spell system, what I needed was not the spell, but the essence utilized by the spell—Information!

What is omnipresent in a dream?

Information, of course!

So, comparing the relationship between the dream and information to the relationship between reality and matter.

Everything became much easier to understand!

Then are there rituals and basic runes developed from rituals in the dream?

Even if it was just a similar concept.

In the end, I couldn’t find a corresponding concept.

But I thought of another concept!

That was—the Earth Veins!

Earth Veins exist even within dreams; this was something known long ago.

Including the dream overlap in the Expansion Realm, which was also part of the world restoration, because even the dream portion of the Main World’s Earth Veins belonged to the Main World.

Therefore, the Primal Dream State theoretically had Earth Veins as well.

Then did Fool’s Village have such Earth Veins?

I instinctively looked at the Starlight Tower.

As the most iconic building of Fool’s Village, it was a reasonable inference to guess whether this was the convergence point of the Earth Veins.

But very quickly, I temporarily gave up on the idea of Earth Veins.

Because of the regional nature of Earth Veins, I couldn’t dominate the energy of the Earth Veins.

Then in the Primal Dream State, what other method was there to utilize information!

Even the simplest, most primitive method would do!

At this moment, under full-speed running, I had arrived not far from the incident.

Perhaps I was too anxious, to the point that I seemed to have crossed the concept of space to appear here.

After all, the concepts of space and time in a dream are truly distorted and very fragile.

“It’s… it’s the Sage!”

At this time, some Fool’s Dream suddenly discovered my existence.

“It really is the Sage! Has the Sage come to save us?”

“Sage!”

As these voices full of hope rang out, as if ordained by a Script, I felt at this moment as if I had stepped onto a storybook stage, with all the spotlights hitting me!

At this moment, I was like an actor who had forgotten her lines, looking in bewilderment as the story developed this way.

But I discovered that everything around me had slowed down, as if the strong hope in my heart allowed me to have more time at this moment to deal with all this haste… it was Time Sense.

And just now, I seemed to have crossed space to come here from the distant Starlight Tower.

Then what was that?

Space Sense…?

It was just that I had no extra energy to distinguish all this.

However, I seemed to know how I was to wield the dream.

Perception channels!

Isn’t information perceived by the consciousness?

Five Senses, Sixth Sense, Seventh Sense… even Mental Power!

The means derived from these included the Witch Meditation Method… Enlightenment Meditation Method……

Everything happened too quickly, as if by instinct.

A book appeared in my hand.

Its posture was very similar to the Book in the Casket, but I knew very well this wasn’t the Book in the Casket.

This was merely what Information transformed into within the dream.

I held the spine of the book with my right hand, the corner of the book pointing diagonally at the arrogant dream creatures before me.

I admitted… at this moment, I had completely entered the role, integrating into this storybook play of Fool’s Village.

And I spoke my lines.

“I… Yang Yuehan! Sage of the Fool’s Dream race! I shall fight to the end without reservation against the evil attempting to invade Fool’s Village!”

“Prepare to receive the judgment of Knowledge and Truth!”
