Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“It truly was quite a toss for a whole night.”

Coming out of the Academy Head’s office, the rising sun was only just beginning to peek a sliver of light from the horizon at this moment.

“As expected of Xiao Han, saying things that easily make people think the wrong way.”

“Big Sis Bai, why are you teasing me at a time like this?”

I said helplessly.

“Is it not allowed?”

“Of course it is.”

“Then isn’t it fine? Let’s change the topic. Has Xiao Han thought about what to eat? In the morning, you still have to eat something to pad your stomach.”

“Let’s go to the cafeteria. Just a casual bite will do. We haven’t been to the cafeteria for quite a while, it seems.”

I proposed.

“Then to which cafeteria? Or... wherever?”

“Wherever, of course.”

I said with a light laugh.

There were several cafeterias in the core teaching area, all marked with numbers and situated in various directions.

They were basically all located on the main roads leading to the teaching buildings, very suitable for students who went to the cafeteria in the morning and then straight to the teaching buildings.

To my shame, I haven’t even visited all of these cafeterias.

However, with Big Sis Bai accompanying me, it really made no difference where we went.

So, while chatting about very casual topics, we eventually arrived at Cafeteria No. 1.

To describe the style of dishes provided by Cafeteria No. 1... it appeared very formal, basically without too much bias.

I heard that the higher the cafeteria’s number, the more fancy the dishes played, even rumored to possibly transcend the scope of what ordinary people could consume.

Of course, I have witnessed this point.

For example, the irritating dishes specifically used for the practice of Transcendent taste sensation are typical dark cuisine.

However, we weren’t here today to try those things and look for trouble for ourselves.

Having experienced so many things outside the academy all at once, right now we just wanted to eat something light, and what’s more, this was breakfast!

Of course... It was mainly because we had eaten a lot of delicacies outside on this trip, and now we needed a change of taste.

The cafeteria’s breakfast had everything from dry bread with butter to a rich assortment of morning tea dishes.

Ultimately, we just took a few things we liked and came to a seat in the corner.

“Is Xiao Han only eating this much?”

“Mhm I took a few that I thought should be delicious.”

I picked up a soft little bun and lightly tore it open.

Inside was a strong milky fragrance.

Taking a light lick, it was a sweetness that wasn’t very cloying.

“Want to try?”

I tore off half and handed it over.

“Then let me see how your eye for things is, Xiao Han.”

Big Sis Bai didn’t use her hand to take it, but directly leaned over and took a bite.

“Mhm-mm it’s not very sweet, even though the milky scent is very strong.”

Big Sis Bai evaluated.

“Not being very sweet is the highest evaluation for a dessert!”

“Is that so?”

“Yeah in any case, that’s what I think. If there are too many things that are over-sweet, it feels cloying instead.”

I stuffed the remaining half in my hand into my mouth, letting that milky aftertaste linger in my oral cavity.

“So Xiao Han thinks this way.”

“Mhm-hmm of course... wait, are you misinterpreting my words into something else? I was truly just referring simply to the dessert! Don’t think as if I meant something else!”

“Does it matter? Actually, I also quite agree with this viewpoint. It’s just that you’re too sensitive, Xiao Han?”

“Yuck as expected of Big Sis Bai, saying things that could easily cause me to misunderstand!”

“You’ve remembered that sentence until now?”

Big Sis Bai only reacted after hearing my words and was also somewhat between laughter and tears.

“I’ve remembered it all! Humph humph.”

I let out a proud light hum.

“Forget it, let’s not talk about those useless topics. Once this breakfast is over, we should return to the daily routine too, right? Does Big Sis Bai have any arrangements? Still those fixed courses?”

“Yeah, fixed courses. I’m still teaching content related to body cultivation, the same as before.”

Big Sis Bai said very leisurely, as if she had started a retired life in advance.

“Didn’t you say you were going to teach courses like the Witchified Body Cultivation Method and Body-transformation Spell-type Physical Arts? Or was the application not approved?”

“Xiao Han, you probably haven’t forgotten what the prerequisites for teaching these techniques are, have you? Even for Body-transformation spells, one must establish a connection with a Magic Power Source, and this connection is not a simple relationship of mental power interference.”

“Ugh... it seems so...”

Only then did I remember this reason.

A Transcendent Witch inherently has Self-generating Magic Power, and the relationship between the self and the Magic Power Source doesn’t need the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell at all.

But if one wants to teach... then this method is definitely needed to help students step through the threshold.

“Then... those witch sisters who teach Body-transformation spells, how did they solve it?”

I don’t remember them coming to find me.

“They asked me to help solve it. Although I don’t have the spellbook for the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell, you taught me this spell architecture. It uses the initial version of the Metamorphic Spell, with a Magic Power Source resonance upper limit of one hundred.”

Big Sis Bai explained.

“Xiao Han, it’s okay that I helped others use it like this without permission, right?”

“Of course it’s okay.”

I shook my head to indicate it was no problem.

I originally intended to promote Self-generating Magic Power anyway.

It didn’t matter even if the perfected Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell that reached ten thousand Magic Power Sources was spread.

Setting aside that we only have one successful case in Tan Han so far, there are also those three rituals, which are the unshakeable thresholds for generating Self-generating Magic Power.

“Big Sis Bai, I originally intended to spread this. Why not find an opportunity for you to learn the latest Metamorphic Spell? The latest Metamorphic Spell’s resonance upper limit has already exceeded the threshold of ten thousand units. If possible, I also hope it can be spread.”

“Would that... alright, I understand.”

Big Sis Bai was just about to ask hesitantly, but she quickly figured it out.

This special Metamorphic Spell was the entry threshold for the Witchified Body Cultivation Method.

It related to many important things, but in the end, it was only the beginning.

Without it, Body-transformation Spell-type Physical Arts cannot be promoted, and the same goes for Self-generating Magic Power.

Never overestimate the enthusiasm of the masses.

Granted, people with vision would definitely not miss such an opportunity, but more people, unless necessary, would absolutely not look for trouble for themselves.

Who wouldn’t want to be a lying-flat salted fish?

After having this meal, Big Sis Bai and I also prepared to get busy with our own affairs.

Big Sis Bai prepared to formally apply for the course arrangements of the Witchified Body Cultivation Method, incidentally sharing the promotion issues of the Witchified Body Cultivation Method with her body cultivation sisters.

After all, they had invested quite a bit of energy into the path of Body-transformation spells, and no one wanted it to end so miserably.

They also hoped the body cultivation courses could shine brilliantly within the Witch Academy.

As for the knowledge regarding the new version of the Metamorphic Spell, after I organized it, I would pass it over directly through the Great Tree of Knowledge.

This wouldn’t consume much of my time.

I, on the other hand, had other things arranged.

After finishing the matter of April’s advancement to Transcendent, I was also visibly going to get busy next.

First were the inspirations for perfecting two rituals.

The first was the Construction Ritual.

This needed Yi Rui and the others to cooperate with me for research.

I had a premonition that if the construction ritual was perfected, it would also have a great promoting effect on her for the Architecture Ritual.

After that was the Perfection Ritual.

This needed Tan Han to cooperate with me for experiments.

During these days that were delayed, I originally thought about having Tan Han constantly test the brand-new ritual, but the original plan couldn’t keep up with the existing plan.

After figuring out the operating mechanism of Self-generating Magic Power, I planned to achieve it in one step on Tan Han, completing the continuous perfection work for Self-generating Magic Power.

Additionally... contact Millian.

Exchange intelligence with her, specifically about my trip to Mo Nuo Peng City this time.

I felt this whim this time was truly meaningful.

I similarly believed that there were more people similar to April existing in the Witch Academy.

The turmoil in Mo Nuo Peng City would quickly stir up hot discussion in the Outer World.

Although the Witch Academy was said to be isolated from the Outer World, they were not entirely ignorant; they were also very concerned about things happening in the Outer World.

After all, this also counted as conversation for students before and after meals if they didn’t talk about these, then they could only talk about little topics or small comparisons between girls.

Otherwise, they couldn’t possibly discuss professional knowledge all the time, could they?

So after bidding farewell to Big Sis Bai, I took the initiative to contact Millian.

And Millian also happened to be delivering a batch of materials to the laboratory.

Because only she herself had the permission to enter and exit the laboratory, this matter had to be done by her personally.

So I traveled together with her directly.

Incidentally, on the way, I gave her a rough account of the events of these past few days.

“You mean that assistant who previously fought against Tan Han... has now advanced to become a Transcendent Witch?”

Clearly, the point Millian focused on seemed different from mine.

“From the results, it is indeed so. But don’t worry, April will probably only stay in the Witch Academy for a few days before leaving this Main World.”

“I see. I was mainly afraid that person still remembered that match not long ago and would cause unnecessary trouble for you, Big Sis Xiao Han.”

“Relax even if she has the ability to stay in the Witch Academy forever, she won’t cause me trouble. She even has to thank me.”

I said with a light laugh.

“However, I’d still prefer you to pay attention to her transformation from an assistant to an ordinary person, and her encounters within her family.”

“That truly is lamentable. I still have an impression of the Hawthorne Family, but I don’t know much about the Wizard Academy’s territory. I only learned about her family through April from that previous match.”

“Do you think there are many people like April in the Witch Academy? People coerced by their families……”

“As long as they are members of a family, they will all face this problem. It’s just a difference between acceptance, endurance, and resistance.”

Millian shook her head and said.

“You’re quite insightful, Millian. You’re also a member of a family, right? If I remember correctly... it seems to be the Baker family?”

I suddenly mentioned this matter.

Speaking of this family, I also knew that assistant called Winnie Baker, whom I met in the Expansion Realm.

It wouldn’t count as a conflict.

“Yes... um, although I’m a member of the family, I’m already of a very collateral branch! I just occupy the family’s name, that’s all. There aren’t even restrictions on the family’s children applying for Transcendent academies... my family situation is actually quite good, not that dramatic.”

Millian hurriedly explained, as if fearing I would make unpleasant associations.

“I know all these. There’s no need to explain so deliberately. Since I’m willing to let you follow me, I naturally won’t produce groundless suspicion toward you.”

“Thank you for your understanding, Big Sis Xiao Han.”

“It’s a small matter. But the topic has strayed a bit. Let’s change the subject. What do you think would be the consequences of promoting anti-family rhetoric in the Witch Academy?”

“Anti... anti-family?”

Millian was shocked by my jumping topic, but still reacted quickly.

“This... I know you don’t really like families, Big Sis Xiao Han, but directly promoting this kind of heat is completely a thankless task. Even in the Witch Academy, most of those who hold the right to speak are family members. There’s really no need to be in their home field and with them……”

“It’s fine, I was just asking. Don’t be so nervous. If we don’t directly promote anti-family, then change the topic. Just let them talk about April. A teaching assistant who was treated as an abandoned piece by her family, stripped of her assistant status and returning home in a wretched state after a mission failure, unfavored by her family and targeted everywhere in life, then advanced to Transcendent after being enlightened by someone. What an inspirational story.”

“Inspirational...”

Millian repeated these two words, not knowing where this story was inspirational.

But Millian quickly thought of many things.

If April’s story was spread, the beneficiaries would still be those assistants raised by families.

Because this matter proved that those assistants were not existences that could be casually discarded after the family used up their value, nor were they worthless people.

If the family treated them harshly, they would still have the possibility of advancing to Transcendent!

Once they advanced to Transcendent, the family would completely lose control over her.

If they returned to the Main World again, they might even welcome revenge!

Although this matter was very convoluted, as long as one such existence appeared in a family, it would be enough to make them suffer.

More importantly, the other important figure in this story—Big Sis Xiao Han!

If a family wanted to target Big Sis Xiao Han, they would have to weigh things.

If they targeted her, what if on a whim she “fooled” an assistant that a family had worked hard to raise into advancing to Transcendent?

They would truly have nowhere to cry!

There was a precedent for this.

Although saying it this way was an exaggeration, who told those who don’t know the truth to only be able to fill in the blanks?

April could advance to Transcendent because she herself had enough capital to advance, not just anyone had such a qualification.

While continuing to talk with Millian about the specific details of this topic and how to shape the public opinion next, we walked all the way to the laboratory.

“Mhm? Eh? Wait, it’s Big Sis Xiao Han! Did Millian actually come together with Big Sis Xiao Han?”

As my figure appeared in the laboratory—during these days they had already grown accustomed to days in the laboratory without me—they heard someone coming and thought it was Millian delivering materials.

“Is seeing me that much of a surprise?”

“Yes I feel like Big Sis Xiao Han, you’re like a humanoid walking buff. Even if you do nothing and just stay in the laboratory, I can feel my IQ soaring up.”

“That’s a bit too much of an exaggeration, isn’t it?”

“How could it be?”

The girl bypassed me and came to Millian’s side.

Clearly, she came to find Millian to get things.

“Speaking of which, what materials are you all looking for Millian to buy? I’m a bit curious. Besides those Transcendent test papers and numerical precision determination reagents and the like.”

I was truly curious about this, because those disposable utensils that required precise determination for ordinary people were considered necessities, which I understood, but these could basically all be replaced with the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

I felt the experiments we were conducting were more ”wasteful of people” compared to consuming Transcendent materials.

“Oh it’s Elixir materials, some of us have been exposed to Elixir-making. Hasn’t our Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell already reached a periodic perfection? But this technique, as you said, Big Sis Xiao Han, is not the only path. Its fundamental purpose is to achieve a connection between a Magic Power Source and the body. So we are trying to use the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell as a basis to transcribe it into an Elixir ritual, to see if it can replace the spellbook form with an Elixir form.”

“After all, making a spellbook requires a lot of time, and only mentors can make them. Moreover, the Metamorphic Spell is also constantly being updated iteratively. Since you said you want to promote Self-generating Magic Power, Big Sis Xiao Han, then we should grope out a form that is more convenient for promotion.”
