Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Hearing this girl describe it this way, I was momentarily stunned.

Then I recalled the situation my clones left in the laboratory had learned about.

Although I had indeed heard them chatting about the topic of elixirs, I didn’t expect their execution to be so high.

Furthermore, regarding inspirations like elixirs and alchemical items, I had only mentioned them briefly; I didn’t expect them to start implementing them already.

“So you guys are just starting out?”

“Yeah, we’re just giving it a try. I studied potion-making with my own mentor. Although I haven’t learned much, I ask my mentor whenever I encounter something I don’t know.”

“Then you all should do your best. I haven’t really studied potion-making, so I can’t be of much help.”

I said with a slight hint of regret.

Actually, long ago, I had planned to study various techniques, and potion-making was one of them.

But ultimately, for various reasons, I only mastered half-baked alchemy techniques.

My level was probably around the degree of making some alchemical items—for example, my reverse summoning business cards were refined by my own hands, though I don’t seem to hand out business cards much anymore.

After Millian handed over the elixir materials, she lingered for a bit, chatting with several sisters who weren’t very busy.

It was evident that Millian, as a non-academic student, was getting along quite well with them in the laboratory.

Meanwhile, I took the time to understand the progress of the Magic Power Source resonance upper limit in the Witchified Body Cultivation Method.

Because as the numbers increased, the quantity of Magic Power Sources resonated by the ten-times base resonance method became too immense, leading to another problem.

The problem of precision.

However, the micro-control resonance method was expected by them to solve this trouble, so they were preparing to push the upper limit to twenty thousand units before performing a periodic adjustment.

Then they would put all their effort into tackling the difficult problem of the micro-control resonance method technique.

I had to say that the difficult problems Yi Rui and her group were currently researching and tackling had reached a level where I was almost unable to intervene.

The micro-control resonance method was a technique summarized by Yi Rui’s group themselves to deal with the difficulty of manipulating Magic Power Sources with the resonance method.

I had not participated in it.

Therefore, I only passively accepted their results.

This included the transcription of the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell into the elixir ritual system they were about to attempt; these had already exceeded the scope of my cognition.

From this moment on, I could truly feel the assistance they brought me.

They had morphed from the initial guinea pigs into members under the same laboratory, and now into something irreplaceable.

The feeling was subtle, but I was also very fortunate.

Precisely because of this, I also intended to hand over all research related to the Self-generating Magic Power construction ritual to Yi Rui and the others.

After all, the construction ritual already had a basic foundation; no matter how they tossed it around, there wouldn’t be irreparable results.

What I needed to do now was summarize that gestation and birth process of Self-generating Magic Power from the moment April advanced to Transcendent.

I would list the general plan and the research direction entirely for Yi Rui.

I believed she would understand my meaning.

As for myself, I planned to independently summarize the Self-generating Magic Power perfection ritual after handing the construction ritual to Yi Rui.

After all, there was only one Tan Han.

Conducting specialized experiments one-on-one with her would be more controllable and free.

After making this decision, I walked into an empty experimental cubicle and began writing the mission statement for perfecting the construction ritual.

Of course, while it was called a mission statement, it contained a large amount of my understanding regarding the construction ritual.

Although this was an assessment for Yi Rui and the others, before the assessment, it was more of a goal that needed to be perfected as soon as possible.

I naturally wouldn’t intentionally create obstacles for Yi Rui and her group; I would naturally include notes wherever reminders were needed.

And I spent a whole day busy with this.

The written mission statement wasn’t even printed on paper; it was directly recorded as text via the Great Tree of Knowledge.

By evening, I was even yawning.

After all, I hadn’t slept for several days.

When April advanced to Transcendent, it was my greatest expenditure of energy.

That night, I didn’t sleep until morning, and then today I spent the whole day reviewing the key nodes of the construction ritual.

This workload was equivalent to me going over the key points myself first.

Now my body was indeed unable to hold out much longer; I truly needed a good night’s sleep tonight.

But before that, I still had to hand this mission statement over to Yi Rui and the others.

When I walked out of the experimental cubicle, the laboratory area was somewhat quiet.

After all, not everyone in a laboratory was a mad scientist; many witches had routines just like ordinary people.

Even those with rich night lives would catch up on sleep in the early hours or something.

But Yi Rui was the type who became frenzied once she got busy.

Many people had left the lab, yet I could still see her busy silhouette.

“Mhm? Xiao Han, you’re out? Your state seems a bit off; why don’t you go rest for a bit?”

Seeing me come out, Yi Rui showed some concern in addition to her surprise.

“Oh? Is it that obvious? But I indeed plan to head back and rest properly. Having been busy all day, I have to give this thing to you after all.”

As I said this, I condensed a rune of the Great Knowledge Sharing Technique.

“This is……”

“I left the school for a bit these past few days and had good harvests. This is a higher-level insight and perfection plan regarding the Self-generating Magic Power construction ritual. I want to hand its perfection over to you entirely.”

“Higher-level insights and a perfection plan?”

Hearing my statement, Yi Rui’s eyes widened visibly.

“Speaking of which, what exactly did you do? I heard Millian mention the things you did these past few days this morning. Was it related to Self-generating Magic Power?”

“Mhm. I observed an advancement ritual to Transcendent and gained a deeper understanding of the gestation and birth of Self-generating Magic Power. Believe me, by perfecting this construction ritual, you will have a better foundation. That way, the probability of you structuring Self-generating Magic Power upon your own life levels will also increase significantly.”

“An advancement ritual… but I heard this ritual to advance to Transcendent was single-handedly orchestrated by you…”

“I just gave some guidance, and it happened to succeed by chance, that’s all. No need to be too surprised. If you want to know something, go do it. It’s a simple principle.”

“But this is too incredible! You managed to influence a ritual for advancing to Transcendent Witch!”

Yi Rui was still too shocked by this matter.

After all, that was advancing to Transcendent!

“Mhm-hmm but so what? It’s just a threshold we all need to experience. There’s no need to make a fuss. Let’s not mention that. Take this sharing rune. I’m heading back. I believe you won’t fail my expectations, right?”

I forcibly steered the topic back to the main business.

I didn’t particularly like those words of wonder and praise; it was almost becoming an instinct of mine.

“Don’t worry! Since you’re willing to hand it to me, then I—we—will give our all to complete it!”

“Then I’ll leave it to you. I’m going back now.”

I waved my hand to signal to Yi Rui that I was leaving.

However, where I was going back to was not Big Sis Bai’s villa, but the small wooden house on the lake island in the Dungeon World!

But just before I was about to head back, I thought of something else, then I pulled up the contact list of the Great Tree of Knowledge.

“Is there something else, Xiao Han?”

“Mhm, call it preparing for tomorrow. You all are responsible for the construction ritual, so I will be responsible for the perfection ritual. This requires Tan Han’s cooperation, so I’ll send her a message in advance tonight, telling her to come to the lab tomorrow if she’s free.”

“Tan Han? It’s true I haven’t seen her for quite a few days.”

Yi Rui also sighed.

“Oh? She hasn’t come to the lab to hang out with you all? It looks like she should be busy with her training in Body-transformation spells.”

I edited the message and sent it over.

Of course, I didn’t set a fixed time.

After all, only a few days had passed.

If Tan Han had her own schedule, she could adjust it accordingly.

After finishing the message, I incidentally sent a message to Big Sis Bai, telling her I was waiting for her in the Dungeon World.

Of course, this wasn’t about spending a sleepless night with Big Sis Bai.

I simply wanted to hold Big Sis Bai at night, or have Big Sis Bai hold me, to provide me with perfect sleep quality.

After bidding farewell to Yi Rui, I stepped into the Dungeon World.

Currently, the Dungeon World’s day-night cycle was synchronized with reality, so it was now night.

Although the moon and stars in the sky were simulated, they still appeared exceptionally romantic.

The stars were reflected on the lake water, and the lake island where I was felt like a small boat sailing on a sea of stars.

At this moment, the He Ya Tree had already grown quite large.

Ling Yi, the Grass and Tree Elf, was already asleep on a branch of the tree, so I didn’t have the heart to disturb her.

I lightly pushed open the cozy little house Big Sis Bai and I built together.

Right now, the inside of the house had been slightly decorated and had already taken basic shape; what was missing here was only the accumulation of time.

I lightly undid my buttons, letting the clothes on my body slide down from my left shoulder, revealing a large area of skin, while the fallen garments dissipated as spell effects.

Then, according to my routine, I used a Cleaning Spell to keep myself clean, which was equivalent to taking a bath.

The facilities here were simple; such a spell method naturally lacked the relaxation brought by a real bath.

And at this moment, a hand reached around one side of my waist.

“Eek… Big Sis Bai, you come here without making a sound?”

In just an instant, I knew it was Big Sis Bai who had come.

“Calling me here so late, what is it?”

“Aiya stop it. I really want to sleep tonight. Yawn ugh… I’m really tired, so is a sleep-accompanying service okay?”

“Of course it is.”

Big Sis Bai stroked my long silver-white hair and spoke very dotingly.

“Mhm… thank you, Big Sis Bai. Don’t do anything strange to me while I’m asleep… even if you do, don’t wake me up… mhm……”

……

A night of silence.

I slept very comfortably this night, especially waking up naturally with energy fully replenished.

After performing the routine Witch Meditation Method, body cultivation practice, and Enlightenment Meditation Method, a beautiful day began with the breakfast Big Sis Bai meticulously prepared for me!

Laboratory.

When I arrived here, I found that Yi Rui had already begun leading a group of sisters to get busy with the things I handed to her last night.

Their efficiency was high.

Upon seeing my arrival, they also greeted me very enthusiastically.

If it weren’t for this mission statement of mine, Yi Rui and the others might still be trying to conduct the Self-generating Magic Power architecture ritual at this moment.

After all, every one of them wanted to be the second person to have Self-generating Magic Power, just like Tan Han.

Even if they knew very well that after succeeding, they would most likely become subjects of research, they didn’t care.

Currently, Yi Rui has simply divided the group into three batches.

Aside from the group that needed to perfect the construction ritual, there were two other groups.

One group continued to push the resonance upper limit of the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell as scheduled, as well as updating and refining the micro-control resonance method technique.

The other group consisted of those few who mastered potion-making techniques, attempting the elixir ritual transcription of the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell.

And my task was equally important.

But now I encountered a problem: Tan Han hadn’t arrived yet.

I took a look at Tan Han’s messages.

Tan Han had already received the message and replied to me last night, but at that time I had entered the Dungeon World, and I hadn’t received the information carried by the Academy Network system.

Only now did I see that Tan Han was indeed, as I expected, undergoing Body-transformation spell training with a witch sister I had recommended.

Today was originally a scheduled class, and it wasn’t easy for her to refuse.

However, she had communicated with that witch mentor, and she could come over in the afternoon.

So for this entire morning, I was alone.

But this wasn’t a problem for me either; I had long grown used to this mode.

After all, with Tan Han’s cooperation, I could observe the ritual effects in real-time for the Self-generating Magic Power perfection ritual.

If it really didn’t work, I could even preset multiple plans in the morning and have Tan Han try them all in the afternoon.

The Self-generating Magic Power perfection ritual was essentially about improving the efficiency of this physique in giving birth to magic power.

That is, the closer it tended toward completeness.

Before advancing to Transcendent, Self-generating Magic Power was always incomplete, and I was no exception.

Because the true Self-generating Magic Power physical talent belonging to a Transcendent Witch, just like the witch racial concept, involved an architecture at the Transcendent level.

And by coincidence, Self-generating Magic Power was an existence structured upon the witch racial concept.

Therefore, only by advancing to Transcendent and having the witch racial concept reach thorough perfection could Self-generating Magic Power be qualified to be called perfect.

But before Transcendent, I was likewise qualified to define ”perfection” at the non-transcendent level.

And letting Tan Han’s degree of Self-generating Magic Power tend toward perfection—rather than saying it required a ”perfection ritual,” it would be better to say it required a special ”gestation,” just like the Transcendent gestation of the witch racial concept.

But while thinking about the issue of Tan Han’s Self-generating Magic Power, I also instinctively thought of my own path.

Since perfection was a human-defined stage, then what exactly was the gap between the Self-generating Magic Power exclusive to a Transcendent Witch and the Self-generating Magic Power structured by my self-awakened body cultivation?

A gap in level?

Then…… if this non-transcendent level Self-generating Magic Power was defined by me as a ”Prototype Ability,” could the Transcendent level Self-generating Magic Power be considered a derivation of the prototype?

So this gave birth to another question:

Can the ”Prototype Self-generating Magic Power” born from self-awakened body cultivation perform unconventional derivations?

This was truly worth my deep research.

And the first thing I needed to do was… go see whether the Self-generating Magic Power of self-awakened body cultivation could indeed be defined as a ”Prototype.”

After all, I was certain that the Self-generating Magic Power structured by self-awakened body cultivation was complete.

The Self-generating Magic Power born from a witch advancing to Transcendent was likewise complete.

But it was just different from my Self-generating Magic Power!
