Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

With Bai Yu’s explanation, for a time, silence fell upon the room.

Mei Linde did not even know whether she should care more about Little Han being temporarily safe or think about how Little Han had already come into contact with the concept of dream-state soul-substance.

”Then when did you discover that you could contact Little Han using the Seed of Great Knowledge?”

Ultimately, Mei Linde asked such an inconsequential question.

”Just not long ago. I was so focused on Little Han that I hadn’t had time to find you and tell you about this yet.”

”Not long ago... was it Little Han who proactively contacted you?”

”Yes. I also hadn’t thought the Great Tree of Knowledge could communicate across dreams and reality,” Bai Yu said with a hint of disbelief.

”Actually, it can be done...”

Mei Linde did not say more, but she knew very well that what could be used within a dream was never the Grand Spellbook itself, but the [Transcendent Knowledge].

However, she was also very curious about exactly how Little Han had done it—retaining the functions of the Great Tree of Knowledge within the Primal Dream State.

According to her cognition of that portion of [Transcendent Knowledge], its concept was similar to plants or growth, rather than communication.

One could say that the Grand Spellbook known as the Great Tree of Knowledge was a derivative application of [Transcendent Knowledge] from start to finish, with not a single part used for its proper purpose.

There might be, but that was just the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree modified from derivative techniques.

”Then... would it be convenient for me to see the chat records of your communication? If it’s inconvenient, could you convey some questions on my behalf?”

After a moment of hesitation, Mei Linde decided to inquire in this manner.

After all, now that she understood Little Han’s situation, it showed that Little Han was still relatively safe within the Primal Dream State.

If possible, she still wanted to establish contact with Little Han and, along the way, see if she could understand exactly what had triggered this Primal Dream State breakthrough into reality.

If possible, she even wanted to try and see if she could rescue those few witches trapped within the Primal Dream State.

After all, in this state of lost contact where everything was unknown, ”being able to achieve communication” was absolutely top-tier good news!

”This... naturally is fine. Wait a moment...”

Although Bai Yu showed a hint of hesitation, she also knew the situation was special.

After shielding some specific conversations in the chat records, she shared the content.

After sharing this long section of chat records, Mei Linde was also very shocked.

She hadn’t expected Bai Yu and Little Han had already chatted so much.

Looking from the beginning, it was indeed Little Han who had proactively contacted Bai Yu.

After scanning through and extracting the key points, a chain of cause and effect for the events formed in Mei Linde’s mind.

First, it could be confirmed that Little Han had fallen into a dream state called ”Fool’s Village,” and this dream state belonged to a very special existence within the Primal Dream State.

Inside, there was even a massive number of... Fool’s Dreams!

That’s right, it was those Fool’s Dreams she had encountered while roaming the Primal Dream State back then; this group of Fool’s Dreams actually had a settled race within the Primal Dream State!

And the thing that guided Little Han over there was the Grand Spellbook she had edited herself—the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell.

Currently, Little Han had already established herself as a Sage over there and was researching Nightmares and dream-state soul-substance.

These pieces of information truly stimulated Mei Linde’s cognition too much; who would have thought the plot would develop this way?

However, learning to accept ridiculous things was also an instinct that a Transcendent should learn.

What she cared about more right now was the dream-state soul-substance theory Little Han proposed.

It wasn’t that she hadn’t heard of it; witches walked at the very forefront of the Great Project of the Soul!

Setting aside what achievements that soul Truth Witch, who was almost never seen, had, just among the group of Transcendent Witches who had embarked on the Great Project of the Soul, there was a continuous stream of outstanding scholars who had a large number of miraculous discoveries within the Primal Dream State.

Dream-state soul-substance—this specific term did not exist in academia, but understanding it literally, it meant that concepts similar to soul-substance also existed within the dream state that was the opposite of reality.

It had to be said that this was a very bold guess, and such voices were not uncommon in academic circles.

Many scholar witches similarly had similar conjectures; after all, how could one conduct experiments without being bold?

Let’s just call this concept ”dream-state soul-substance” for now.

It’s just that currently, witches had not yet discovered this ideal existence within the Primal Dream State.

However, they had discovered similar concepts, but they already had a formal name.

Namely—Nightmares.

Nightmares were once called the obstacle to dream creatures transforming into life, but if Nightmares were the ideal state of ”dream-state soul-substance,” then that would be hitting back at the original theory.

As for more in-depth academic concepts, Mei Linde had not looked into them either.

After all, she wasn’t an all-around player who would learn everything; it was already quite remarkable to look into some interesting things and know a general idea.

Looking back at Little Han now, who had researched dream-state soul-substance and Nightmares ”without a teacher,” even she now had to suspect whether the two were really the same kind of existence.

After all, in the field of the Transcendent, many things were not proven theorems, yet they were already being used extensively.

This was the ”consensus” of the Transcendent world; besides, even if it couldn’t be proven, it was still used.

Don’t use it if you have the ability!

It was about the same logic as mysticism.

”Is Little Han still not too clear on what has happened in the outside reality?”

Mei Linde asked casually while flipping through the chat records.

”She really might not be too clear...”

Bai Yu flipped through the chat records; she seemingly truly had not mentioned this matter.

She had already defaulted that a dream disaster had occurred in the outside world, so she was very concerned about Little Han’s safety from the start.

But Little Han had been responding with comforting words, telling her not to worry too much and that she was very safe right now, completely lacking the self-awareness of being in the center of a Primal Dream State riot disaster...

”Ask her. If Little Han doesn’t know, it means she unintentionally avoided the Primal Dream State calamity. Then let her stay in Fool’s Village all the time and not mess around. It’s best to wait until things have settled before coming back.”

”Mhm.”

Bai Yu also deeply agreed with this, and then immediately began editing a message to send over.

At this moment, within the Fool’s Village of the Primal Dream State.

I glanced at the message sent by the Great Tree of Knowledge.

”Hmm? A dream calamity occurred in reality... leading to the Primal Dream State breaking through the reality boundary?”

I was also slightly stunned upon seeing this news.

Even I was a bit surprised by this news; a dream calamity actually happened in reality?

For a dream event to be described as a ”calamity” by a Transcendent like Big Sis Bai was enough to show the severity of the situation.

However, it was impossible for me to return to reality just like this, specifically to take a look at what the calamity was like.

A bit of a pity.

After responding to Big Sis Bai, it was a while before Big Sis Bai responded to my message again.

Big Sis Bai told me to stay in Fool’s Village and said she would notify me to return only after the disaster had settled.

Regarding this... I naturally accepted.

Furthermore, I had originally planned to stay in the Primal Dream State for a long time; after all, my experiments on Nightmares had only just begun!

One could say that I now had sufficient evidence to prove that Nightmares were ”dream-state soul-substance.”

And... I had already relied on the power of Body Cultivation to separate the first sliver of ”sadness” from a Nightmare!

This experiment proved at least two things!

The first was... the negative conceptual information within a Nightmare could be extracted!

This similarly represented that a Nightmare could be ”purified.”

The second was... within the Self-awakened Body Cultivation system, there was also a means of utilizing emotions!

And it was a special channel at the same level as ”perception.”

Actually, I should have thought of the second point long ago, back when I first achieved the sixth sense, Heart Sense, and perceived emotions, as well as the Body Cultivation instinct’s ability to dominate one’s own emotions.

These all represented that there was a special power framework of ”emotion” within Body Cultivation.

As for what this represented... I could say it represented nothing.

For the current me, it just represented that I could rely on the power of Body Cultivation to complete the ”deprival” of negative emotions from a Nightmare.

If I were to leave the dream state, I could try to look into ”Emotional Body Cultivation.”

Maybe this kind of Body Cultivation power could really make someone cry with a single punch, and cry uncontrollably at that.

It might even be possible to make someone depressed with one punch.

After all, Emotional Body Cultivation can deprive emotions and can also guide them.

Maybe after slapping the opponent, the enemy would still laugh at the person who slapped him.

This kind of eerie ability... just thinking about it was terrifying, and it was a psychological terror.

But clearly, I didn’t want to focus my energy on Emotional Body Cultivation right now.

Regarding Emotional Body Cultivation, I was interested at most, but far from needing to master it.

After all, its main use was against enemies, unlike Five Senses Body Cultivation, which could help me better explore the truth of this world.

Back then, Big Sis Bai had coaxed me onto the path of Five Senses Body Cultivation also to let me adapt to Spirit Vision and link it to the ”True Five Senses” after advancing to Transcendent.

But at this stage, I still needed to rely on the power of Emotional Body Cultivation to help me complete a technique.

The ”Nightmare Negative Emotion Stripping Technique.”

I really wanted to know what a Nightmare would become after stripping away these concepts and information I identified as ”dross.”

Of course... I was even more concerned with how Nightmares were ultimately transmitted.

Dream creatures only carried Nightmares.

If the transmission method was infected... then why could they not be discarded?

Many questions were constantly troubling me.

But I was unable to give a reasonable answer all at once.

For example, asking another question: what is a Fool’s Dream?

I had once explored what the essence of a Fool’s Dream was.

A Fool’s Dream was essentially consciousness; only later, after understanding in more detail, did I know it was Dream Consciousness.

It was a special consciousness incompatible with Reality Consciousness, which was also what caused my Soul Depiction technique to be unable to shape the Fool’s Dreams.

If ”dream-state soul-substance” was found within the Primal Dream State, then it could be used to shape the life essence for the Fool’s Dreams within the dream state.

And such a conception similarly made me think of another thing.

Namely, the dream creature shaped by dream-state soul-substance... could it be that it is not a life?

After all, in reality, even a soul-substance essence is still recognized as a life.

So this made me very perplexed...

Or rather... within the Primal Dream State, it cannot obtain the recognition of the Void?

But no matter what, everything should yield an answer once I have completed the dream-state soul.

Because the characteristic of the soul is being a bridge between dreams and reality, so whether it is a dream-state soul or a reality soul, they are essentially about the same.

When Fool’s Dreams are granted souls through this method, then they can arrive in reality through their soul essence.

This was essentially not much different from my soul entering the dream from reality; they were just doing it in reverse.

This was the train of thought I had conceived when I boldly predicted the concept of ”dream-state soul-substance” back then.

Now that the experiments on Nightmares had achieved a breakthrough, everything afterward would develop naturally.

The only pity was that within Fool’s Village, there were no other people who could help me share these boring and repetitive processes.

As for the Fool’s Dreams?

These cute little fellows should be happily enjoying life.

After all, only I could do the work of researching Nightmares.

This was not only because of the objective fact that Fool’s Dreams could not touch Nightmares, but also because only I, with the Sacred Object and the power of Self-awakened Body Cultivation, could achieve this.

As my understanding of the Sacred Object became increasingly deep, the more I could understand exactly what kind of existence the [Transcendent Knowledge] within the Grand Spellbook was.

When I first learned of this concept, it was back when I enrolled and awakened my talent; Big Sis Bai told me.

But clearly, Big Sis Bai also didn’t know exactly what [Transcendent Knowledge] was or how to define it.

She only knew this thing was very precious—precious enough to trigger a fatal disaster!

Recalling the [Transcendent Knowledge] of the Great Snow Throne Spell now, those fragments also made people flock to them; they were indeed enough to trigger a life-threatening danger.

And now... within the Primal Dream State, the Grand Spellbook had shed its ”spell” outer layer and revealed its essence.

And I could perceive its essence from another perspective.

The feeling it gave me was very much like one thing.

Namely... a Totem!

But this was not to say [Transcendent Knowledge] itself was a Totem; I could clearly state that it was not.

It was not a Totem.

However, its nature and a Totem possessed very similar characteristics.

It was more like a combination similar to my ”Self-awakened Body Cultivation” plus a ”Totem.”

If I were to say what was similar...

Self-awakened Body Cultivation itself possessed infinite possibilities.

It was the starting point of all Body Cultivation concepts:

Five Senses Body Cultivation, Body Forging Body Cultivation, Emotional Body Cultivation... all of these were like existences structured upon Self-awakened Body Cultivation, a special power that compounded almost all ”Body Cultivation concepts.”

And taking my Great Tree of Knowledge as an example, the [Transcendent Knowledge] within this Grand Spellbook similarly possessed infinite possibilities.

It could have become a plant-based Grand Spellbook, and it could also become the current Great Tree of Knowledge.

These were all possibilities granted to its concept by choices.

But the concept it represented itself was roughly ”plant growth.”

Moreover, plants were not just plants in the ordinary sense.

After all, the Great Tree of Knowledge was a ”plant” constructed from a series of concepts like consciousness, thought, knowledge, information, and so on.

The concept of completing ”growth” and ”strengthening” through absorbing knowledge, information, and data perfectly fitted its concept.

In the Primal Dream State, these concepts that were like sudden enlightenments allowed me to understand everything at once, making me quickly comprehend too many things that even language could not describe.
