Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“Speaking of which… Little Han, I didn’t expect your understanding within the Primal Dream State to be so profound?”

Inside Fool’s Village, Aina, while also conducting her own dream experiments, could not help but sigh in admiration after seeing the gap between her experiments and those conducted by Little Han.

“Actually, it isn’t that much… It’s mainly that I have more means. Big Sis Aina’s theoretical foundation is much more solid than mine. If Big Sis Aina were given the same starting platform as me, and mastered the same means, you would definitely be more impressive than I am!”

“That… that also makes a lot of sense…”

Aina barely followed up the conversation.

To truly speak of means and such, those were also part of a person’s ability.

It was not capital for making people jealous; Aina was very clear on this.

If one truly followed that logic, then if she were given everything the Primal Witch possessed, she would also claim she could do no worse than the Primal Witch!

Witches who only knew how to complain and only saw what others had that they themselves lacked were all short-sighted losers……

Aina suddenly felt that during this period in Fool’s Village, she was about to become a master who saw through the essence of life.

Sure enough, after life experienced great ups and downs, the brain liked to think about grand principles.

She had also asked Little Han what she planned to do in the coming period of time.

However, the answer she received was… wait.

Wait for everything to settle, and then all the troubles could be slowly resolved.

“Then what else do you need to do now?”

“Clean up the unstable factors within Fool’s Village in a timely manner, and conduct some small experiments along the way.”

The unstable factors I spoke of referred to the Nightmare Demons and those consciousnesses that had fallen into madness entering Fool’s Village.

As for the small experiments, I was referring to the research on Nightmares.

After all, having completed the guidance of techniques and theory, I now only needed to complete the “purification” of the Nightmare, and that would be enough.

Lest it be forgotten, the Nightmare was one of my most important conjectures—Dream-state Soul-substance!

It was also the important bridge I was shaping for the Fool’s Dreams to lead toward life.

“Have you never thought about letting the Fool’s Dreams help you? The experiments you want to conduct are interrupted from time to time by those invaders; it must be very tiring, right?”

“I understand… but the Fool’s Dreams themselves have no power…”

I shook my head helplessly and spoke.

If I truly wanted to bestow power upon them, I thought of the power network, but clearly, the power network could not be spread out here.

More importantly, the Dual-Tree Structure was an effect of a Grand Spellbook.

I similarly could not bestow this kind of power upon Fool’s Dreams situated within the Primal Dream State.

Therefore, before bestowing “absolute power” upon the Fool’s Dreams, any method of temporarily increasing the strength of the Fool’s Dreams was the same logic as “child self-defense techniques,” which was to say, a useless scam.

The Fool’s Dreams could not deal with Nightmare Demons, nor could they handle those consciousnesses.

Furthermore, what if a dream creature broke in by chance?

Then the Fool’s Dreams would all be finished.

“Is even a temporary bestowal impossible? Clearly, you can manifest a domain that shrouds an entire Fool’s Village dream, and even resist so many dream creatures……”

“It is meaningless. The Fool’s Dreams are merely a group of simple consciousness groups within the dream state. Instead of thinking about letting them help, it is better to do something more meaningful.”

The more meaningful thing I referred to was, naturally, purifying the Nightmare.

“Fine I am not very familiar with what you are researching, so I won’t talk nonsense…… But seeing what you are researching, it should be the Nightmare, right? Little Han is interested in this?”

“Mhm, it’s the Nightmare. I feel this thing should belong to the soul-substance within the dream. It is the foundation for shaping life within the Primal Dream State, so I call it Dream-state Soul-substance. I am trying to purify it.”

“Dream-state Soul-substance? An interesting way of putting it. I seem to have heard similar descriptions before, but…… Little Han, if I guessed correctly, you want to shape dream life through Dream-state Soul-substance, right? Then have you thought about how this form of life within the dream state is similarly meaningless to reality? This way, the Fool’s Dreams still won’t be able to become true lives, right?”

At this moment, Aina also displayed her professional quality regarding the Great Project of the Soul, raising this very shallow question.

“I have thought about it. I have even thought about whether dream creatures might be a type of ready-made dream life. But none of that matters. Big Sis Aina… have you thought about the possibility of Dream-state Soul-substance sublimating into a soul… the soul… the bridge between dreams and reality. Mastering the technique of sublimating Dream-state Soul-substance into a soul—does that represent completely transforming dream life into life in reality?”

“This! This…”

Hearing such a bold hypothesis from me, Aina was also stunned, saying “this” several times, not knowing what to say for a moment.

“Would this… be too idealized?”

“There is no harm in trying, is there?”

“But have you thought about how to transform Dream-state Soul-substance into a soul?”

Aina felt her head swell just thinking about how all the techniques in reality were meaningless within the dream state.

Wanting to complete a soul sublimation similar to the Great Project of the Soul within the dream state… it was simply an even more foolish dream!

“I have… but that is research for another stage.”

I shrugged and said with a smile, not mentioning the matter of my Soul Depiction technique.

Fortunately, the Soul Depiction technique was a derivative technique of a Grand Spellbook.

It only required completing the dream-ified reconstruction of the technique within the Primal Dream State, and many things could be done.

Therefore, I was very clear that what seemed most impossible to Aina was actually the easiest thing for me.

I, what I was doing now was a gamble, gambling on the possibility of the concept of “Dream-state Soul-substance”!

This was a gamble where once a mistake was made, everything would be lost.

However, I had many pieces of supporting evidence to corroborate it, from the theoretical experiments of the Soul Depiction technique to the behavior of dream creatures devouring soul-substance.

Even if there was no so-called Dream-state Soul-substance, the concept of soul-substance was definitely inseparable from the Primal Dream State.

Since dream creatures liked to devour soul-substance, then soul-substance within the dream state must be one of the most “common” concepts.

However, Aina’s attitude toward me now was of another kind.

She truly envied that kind of free and easy mindset I had during research.

To be able to say “that is research for another stage” so easily… exactly what kind of mindset was required to say it in that tone?

If it were her, after exhausting everything to chase this goal only to find another massive mountain to climb at the end, she would definitely collapse.

But collapsing aside, the experiment still had to be done.

Therefore… long-lived Transcendent Witches did not enjoy researching a single experiment for as long as a hundred years.

Rather, they collapsed until they finally became numb, naturally accepting that it would take that long, and also learned to find joy in sorrow, such as gathering a few sisters for a tea party when there was nothing to do to relieve pressure and the like.

Time passed bit by bit.

In the Primal Dream State, the concept of time differed greatly from reality, even causing a person to lose their perception and anchoring of time.

If an ordinary person were locked in a sealed room without a clock or timer, and could not see the transition of day and night, then within a few days, that person’s perception of time would gradually become blurred, and various problems would appear in their body and spirit, such as endocrine disorders and the like.

Transcendent beings themselves would not be like this, because their own life tier touched True Time, so the perception of the passage of time was simply instinct.

But Aina, situated within the Primal Dream State, was just like that ordinary person locked in a sealed room.

She could clearly feel herself gradually becoming “weak.”

This was an “erosion” of the life essence by the Primal Dream State.

In my view, this erosion was somewhat similar to “Nightmare-ification.”

The negative emotions and cognitions deposited within the Primal Dream State were gradually eroding the soul essence.

Therefore, even a witch of the Great Project of the Soul could not stay within the Primal Dream State for long.

And in such an environment, for me to research how to dissipate the deposition of negative information within a Nightmare was indeed as hard as ascending to heaven.

Under the exploration during this period, I also gained a preliminary cognition of the research on Nightmare-ification.

This deposition of negative emotions within the dream state was as easy as the joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness felt by a person in reality.

This was not good news.

The only good news over these days was… Fool’s Village welcomed the second and third witches besides Aina.

And Aina immediately acted as the “narrator,” explaining the current situation to the two sisters and calming them down to accept the current status quo.

It had to be said, with Aina’s case as an example, the degree of acceptance of the two witches who came afterward was significantly improved.

And this also made me realize one thing, which was… most of those witches or other people who followed my Imagery Staircase back-and-forth concept as an anchor would fall into the Fool’s Village dream state.

Knowing this, I could judge what level Fool’s Village was currently at within the Primal Dream State through the people who fell into Fool’s Village.

For example, at the very beginning, the first visitor was a Nightmare Demon.

As a special demon creation adapted to the Primal Dream State, it was foreseeable that they could dive into the depths of the Primal Dream State.

Then came those consciousnesses that had collapsed to the point of having no form, as well as these few witch mentors before my eyes.

Their appearance represented that Fool’s Village was still in a relatively deep layer of the Primal Dream State.

Further up, it was hard to see Nightmare Demons.

Further up still, the ones encountered were the consciousnesses of lost students.

Their frequency of appearance showed very clear changes as the dive became shallower.

Based on the degree of completeness of their consciousness bodies, the depth of the Primal Dream State they were in at that time could be distinguished.

These “experiences” were all built upon lives one by one.

It had to be said that this was a series of very tragic data.

And further up still…… was the consciousness of the Expansion Realm’s local mutated beasts that had been innocently affected.

When the first consciousness of a mutated beast was captured by me in Fool’s Village, I had thought someone’s cognition had been distorted into an animal by the Primal Dream State… but later I realized that we might already be nearing the upper area of the Primal Dream State, which was the “location” adjacent to the shallow dream.

The consciousness of mutated beasts could not enter the very deep Primal Dream State.

At most, they dropped from the shallow dream into the shallow Primal Dream State.

Any deeper… and their fragile consciousness would be completely torn apart!

“I know the witch sisters might be curious why I suddenly called you all over.”

I looked at the several witches I had gathered.

Their current states were not very good.

The oppressive environment within the Primal Dream State was devouring their consciousness bit by bit.

More importantly, the various dream experiments they conducted within Fool’s Village had consumed quite a lot of their energy.

My spirit was similarly not very good at this moment.

But I possessed the control over my own life essence from Self-awakened Body Cultivation, as well as the regulation of myself from shallow Emotional Body Cultivation, plus my negative information stripping technique for Nightmares.

My state was at least much better than that of the witch sisters before me.

“Speak of a piece of good news. We might be about to reach the shallow dream. At that time, we can return directly to reality using Fool’s Village as a springboard.”

I did not waste words and directly spoke out this conjecture.

“Really?!”

Hearing me say we were about to return to reality, they all immediately became energized!

“According to our current statistics, as well as the information feedback of Fool’s Village within the Primal Dream State, there is a high probability this news is not wrong.”

***

In the reality of the Expansion Realm.

“Begin informing them. Our Witch Academy is preparing to start evacuating the Primal Dream State coverage area of the Expansion Realm. Additionally, notify all students of our academy through the root network to evacuate the Expansion Realm in an orderly manner.”

The Academy Head’s gaze moved away from the message on the Seed of Great Knowledge, and she subsequently spoke.

“Furthermore, the message advising evacuation must be shared with every academy. The notification must be thorough, so that we won’t lack a reason when we counterattack them later. We witches are a reasonable race.”

“Yes, Academy Head Hehe.”

The witch who responded gave a light laugh and then quickly left the place.

The witches present all knew some things more or less, so they naturally knew why the Witch Academy was leaving the field for no reason.

But the other academies certainly did not know why.

In fact, even if the Witch Academy informed the other academies that it was evacuating, they would absolutely not follow the Witch Academy’s lead and leave.

They might even think the Witch Academy was plotting some conspiracy against them.

And the reason Mei Linde was acting so decisively now was naturally because she had received the message from Little Han within the Primal Dream State.

The Fool’s Village dream state was about to surface from the Primal Dream State into the shallow dream!

In other words, the time left for them was not much either.

The Witch Academy still left so many witches in the Expansion Realm currently, besides conducting the routine collection of Primal Dream State data, mainly to wait—waiting for Little Han and those several witches to return.

Otherwise, they couldn’t just be left in the Expansion Realm, could they?

And now… it was also the time for everything to end.

The best ending, in Mei Linde’s view, would be the Primal Dream State giving the Expansion Realm a big one, causing all those Transcendents from the various academies present to become lost in the deep Primal Dream State.

But many things had not happened yet, and no one dared to assert how things would develop.

As the Academy Head, she had already planned multiple schemes and backup plans at this moment, as well as remedial measures.

She cared more about Little Han.

She had to prioritize Little Han.

If that Fool’s Village dream state could be… it also needed to be preserved.

As for those witches lost in the Primal Dream State who had not entered Fool’s Village for refuge… she could only pray and hope for the best for them.

But in the backup plans, she would utilize the Primal avatars of those witches to enter the Primal Dream State to search.

This was the limit of what she could do.

After all, she didn’t dare to wantonly explore the Primal Dream State herself.

Furthermore, she had another remedial plan, which was… the “Dream Domain” that existed within the chat records and which all three witches had expressed was astonishing.

This was a special ability Little Han mastered.

She still did not know exactly what kind of ability that was.

Therefore, this plan was the backup of backups, namely the remedial plan.

And the last thing to be calculated was the Transcendents of other Transcendent academies.

Regardless of how many unlucky fools ultimately became lost in the Primal Dream State, the final result would be a win for the Witch Academy.
