Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

After sending Millian off, many things were arranged in passing.

Although I had already handed that Heart of Cold Tide to Millian for her to negotiate with Wan Shi Wu, the Soul Crystals she collected in advance would be delivered soon.

Either tonight or tomorrow.

So the Soul Depiction experiments regarding the Fool’s Dream could also start soon.

However, starting simultaneously with the Fool’s Dream Soul Depiction experiment was another experiment.

Or rather, a large-scale experiment.

That was the small-scale promotion test of Self-generating Magic Power.

With Yi Rui’s success and the collection of detailed data, although they didn’t guarantee success every time, as long as the base number of participants was large enough, there would always be a third or fourth successful case.

Data collection was like this: continuous practical testing, then updates and iterations, and finally, corrections and starting over.

As for how to gather these people, it would naturally be Millian’s job to notify them.

After all, I had already asked her to prepare for this earlier.

No matter how many people had agreed to participate in this experiment now, since the experiment had progressed to this point, it was something that inevitably had to be done.

“Speaking of which, do you know how to report our experiment process to the academy? After all, this will involve many students participating in the experiment.”

I looked at the crowd and inquired.

Regarding reporting… I haven’t done it much.

Every time, I made a huge commotion and attracted the attention of many people and witches before anyone knew what I was doing.

However, this experiment could not be conducted in the laboratory.

After all, with so many non-laboratory personnel, it was impossible to give them all permissions to enter the experimental area.

Therefore, an additional venue would definitely need to be arranged, including safety measures, emergency measures, supervising mentors, and so on.

“Reporting? I’m familiar with the reporting process! I’ll go!”

At this moment, a girl stood up, looking very experienced.

“Alright Then I’ll trouble you with that.”

I looked at this girl and handed the process over to her without hesitation.

Although I could also sort out the Witch Academy’s reporting process through the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell, it was too troublesome.

It would be faster to let someone with experience do it.

Speaking of which, my previous reporting… seemed to have been done by directly contacting Academy Head Mei?

But in my view, this matter wasn’t particularly huge, so there was no need to trouble the Academy Head.

However, given the level of attention the Academy Head paid to Self-generating Magic Power, I still informed Academy Head Mei about it.

After editing the message, I sent it directly.

Afterward, I rarely had a bit of free time.

I wandered through the laboratory quite casually.

They were currently packing up the equipment.

Since this experiment would not be held in the laboratory, the data collection equipment was being organized first so that it would be easy to transfer later.

Once the reporting was completed and the venue was confirmed, the equipment would be brought over.

“Hmm? This is…”

I walked over to a girl who was editing text and looked at what she was inputting.

“Oh, isn’t it because we’re about to start large-scale testing? To let the participants quickly understand what we need to do, I’m editing the text in advance. Speaking of which, Big Sis Xiao Han, will you come to say a few words before the experiment starts? I think Big Sis Xiao Han, your prestige in the academy is quite high.”

“Me? I’ll pass. I’m not good at socializing, and I’m not great at making those kinds of formal speeches…”

“Alright Actually, I can tell. Then how about I prepare a script for you in advance, Big Sis Xiao Han?”

“No, no. Out of consideration for you, let’s not increase your workload. You should focus on the task at hand first. After all, even though they are test subjects, they still have the right to be informed.”

“Alright That’s a pity.”

The girl replied with some regret.

I, however, didn’t feel much regret.

I didn’t particularly like those kinds of summary speeches.

If it was about using language to mobilize enthusiasm…

I thought mobilizing someone’s hatred would be even simpler.

“Right, if Millian comes over later to deliver things, just have her put them in my cubicle. I might head back early.”

I suddenly thought of something and spoke up.

“Eh? It’s rare for Big Sis Xiao Han to head back early. Is it for something specific?”

“Yeah, among this batch of test personnel, there are a few friends I know. I’m going to see them.”

I nodded and said.

“Friends? Are they similar to Tan Han?”

“Their relationship with Tan Han… is probably just being in the same batch? And they all have course exemptions, so there’s no need to consider scheduling issues.”

“Course exemptions, huh? It looks like they must be the type who study very well?”

“Um… most of them are…”

I recalled those few fellows in the dorm… and only Hong Chenyi was the most out of tune.

After a simple farewell, I intended to leave first.

But before leaving, I made a point to check on Fool’s Dream and found that she and the others were playing quite happily with several seniors, so I was completely relieved.

On the way back, I also directly popped up in my long-neglected dorm group chat and was quickly captured.

Hong Chenyi: Big Sis Xiao Han, you actually popped up in the group chat.

Yang Yuehan: Are you guarding the group chat around the clock?

Yu Yetian: Yi is usually very idle, but it’s mainly because the mode of the Seed of Great Knowledge makes it very convenient for her to chat idly in the group chat.

Yang Yuehan: Speaking of which, what have you all been doing since the start of school?

Dongli Yiren: Is that experiment Big Sis Xiao Han mentioned to us before about to start?

Yang Yuehan: Yeah.

Hong Chenyi: Is it finally about to start?

Hong Chenyi: You’ve made me wait so long!

Yang Yuehan: Speaking of which, you still haven’t told me what you’re doing.

Yang Yuehan: I just left the lab and am getting ready to find you.

Dongli Yiren: We were in class earlier, but class is over now.

We’re still hanging around the venue.

Dongli Yiren: Didn’t Big Sis Xiao Han tell us to adapt to Body Cultivation in advance?

So we went to the courses related to Body Cultivation.

Hong Chenyi: The registration fees for these kinds of courses in the academy are truly expensive.

Hong Chenyi: Some courses don’t even accept normal money.

I even saw courses with Arcanite Gold fees as the threshold.

It’s simply bizarre.

Yang Yuehan: Knowledge and the teaching process itself aren’t free.

How should I put it?

Yang Yuehan: In my view, you get what you pay for, and this is still just a symbolic fee.

I looked at the chat logs in the group and patiently explained things to them.

For Transcendent Witches, they might not necessarily care about this small amount of money.

Even Mithril, Arcanite Gold… well, these probably wouldn’t be treated as trash.

While chatting idly in the group chat, I flew over according to the location they sent me and eventually stopped at a training ground.

This training ground was not the venue for the Newcomer Competition but another one.

Compared to that place, this training ground appeared relatively small and was not an embedded underground training ground.

The surrounding fences extended very high, protecting the neighboring buildings, and one could see the engraving of runes on them.

But even so, traces of battles from previous generations of seniors remained on them.

With a simple glance, I found those familiar figures among the crowd in the training ground.

“Big Sis Xiao Han. Over here.”

Hong Chenyi raised her head and looked at the figure in the sky, immediately waving and greeting me as if afraid I wouldn’t see her.

“I see you, I see you. No need to shout so extravagantly.”

I took a dive on my broom.

At the final moment, the broom was directly retracted, and my body landed steadily on the ground.

This kind of operation was simply effortless for the current me.

I looked left and right and found that many people had recognized me, though some seemed embarrassed to come forward.

“Speaking of which… I only mentioned in passing for you to get in touch with the Body Cultivation system, right? You actually came to practice just like that?”

“Of course! Could it be that Big Sis Xiao Han would harm us?”

“That’s hard to say.”

I said with a smile.

“It’s fine. Even if Big Sis Xiao Han harms me, then I’ll just cling to Big Sis Xiao Han and never leave!”

“How disgusting…”

I commented.

“Alright, stop joking with Big Sis Xiao Han.”

“Yeah, indeed. Big Sis Xiao Han came over this time to notify us about that Self-generating Magic Power experiment, right? Has it already started?”

“Not yet, but this matter has already begun the reporting process. Once the venue is approved, the experiment can be organized to start.”

“Then… how long will this take roughly?”

Hong Chenyi inquired.

“Hmm… I’m not too clear on how many days the normal process takes. A conservative estimate is within a week?”

Regarding this, I also expressed that I wasn’t very clear.

“Anyway, once the information comes down, I’ll notify you immediately. You should also pass it on to each other.”

“A week? Alright then, we will,” Dongli Yiren said, nodding from the side.

“But just for this matter, you shouldn’t have needed to make a special trip, Big Sis Xiao Han?”

“What are you saying, Dongli Yiren? Couldn’t it be that Big Sis Xiao Han missed us and made a special trip back?”

Hong Chenyi said from the side.

“Hmph hmph It’s something like that.”

I gave a light laugh and said:

“You are people I invited, rather than being screened through specialized channels, so there are some things you might not be very clear on. Of course, you are also very special because you are still in the lower grades, while most of the other students participating in this experiment are high-year students. So I hope you won’t feel too much pressure.”

“Wow… with the high-year seniors? Sure enough, the pressure has increased all at once.”

“That’s why I told you not to be nervous. Learning to adjust your mindset in advance is also a necessary skill, right?”

“I’m afraid my mindset will explode if the experiment fails…”

Hong Chenyi grumbled from the side.

“Mindset explode? That’s nothing. Do you know how many people will be in this experiment?”

“Uh… I’m not too sure. At most a dozen? Dozens?”

Hong Chenyi inquired.

“The answer is over a hundred. The reason we need so many people for this experiment is that the success rate is very low at this stage. And so far, there have only been two successful cases. We need successful cases one after another to continuously perfect this technique. Therefore, in this experiment, failure is the norm. If you succeed, I’ll be the first to study you.”

“Eh?! Study me? How are you going to study me? Don’t tell me you’re going to dissect me?”

Hong Chenyi asked very exaggeratedly.

“You have that kind of XP? That’s not impossible. Don’t worry, I also have a good understanding of the human body.”

“No! How could I possibly like being studied! I don’t want to be dissected!”

“Just kidding. The stage of death cases in the early period has passed. The experiment you are conducting now is very safe. At most, you’ll just be heavily injured.”

“Wait… wait! Death cases?! No… did such a thing really happen?”

“There’s still the Resurrection Spell, so what are you afraid of?”

“Resurrection Spell… hiss… I still don’t want to experience the feeling of death. That must be very unpleasant!”

“It is indeed very unpleasant. As someone who has died many times, I can indeed tell you that clearly. But this experiment has no danger of death.”

“We understand. When we accepted Big Sis Xiao Han’s invitation, we already made such psychological preparations. There’s no such thing as a good deal for nothing in this world.”

Dongli Yiren stepped forward and pressed down on Hong Chenyi’s head.

This fellow spoke simply without thinking.

“Geez I know that, of course. I’m just expressing the true thoughts in my heart! Even if there’s a risk of death, I am still the most steadfast one by Big Sis Xiao Han’s side!”

Hong Chenyi hurriedly slapped the other’s hand away and said, “Also, don’t touch my head!”

“Stop being cheeky… I’ll give you a document later, shared through the Seed of Great Knowledge. Just don’t spread it around widely. It’s about Self-generating Magic Power… consider it a science popularization reading? Anyway, it can help you get a preliminary understanding of what Self-generating Magic Power actually is and how to do it. You should take a look first; it will help you understand the progress of the experiment.”

When I proposed this matter, I also passed the information sorted out by the Great Tree of Knowledge to their Seeds of Great Knowledge.

“It mentions a special Body Cultivation path, which is the Witchified Body Cultivation Method. The Ritual Battle Dance involved in it, besides its special shaping role, is also the cultivation method and combat technique of this Body Cultivation method. It can also enhance the physique to a certain extent.”

Of course, the primary purpose of the current Ritual Battle Dance was constructed for the shaping ritual.

The Micro-control Resonance Method could only perform more refined ritual shaping on the Magic Power Source based on this.

“Ritual Battle Dance… what strange movements…”

“Yeah, these movements were artistically adjusted by a mentor. While not affecting their effect, they are also more beautiful during practice.”

“Ah, this… that mentor must be a genius!”

“ I’ll take that as a compliment to her.”

“Of course it’s a compliment! I didn’t expect that the first dance of my life would actually be learned through practicing physical arts. Can you believe it?”

Hong Chenyi said hurriedly.

“I’m about the same. Don’t worry about it so much; life always has many firsts. If you feel embarrassed trying it while being watched by so many people, you can go to the indoor arena to try.”

I suggested.

“Ah, this… must I try it now?”

“You have a procrastination habit? Then you should try it even more now. It’s fine. While I’m still here, I’ll help give you some pointers. This is a treatment others don’t get.”

I pushed Hong Chenyi toward the building of the training ground.

The training ground was not just an open space like a playground; it was integrated with the surrounding buildings, including the underground areas and so on.

Furthermore, the training ground could satisfy many special training needs.

Indoor enclosed training rooms were simply the most basic venue units.

However, in addition to being generally used for teaching here, some facilities and customized needs might require a fee.

But the fees weren’t very expensive; these fees were generally used for the daily maintenance of the training ground and such.
