Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“Let’s stop here for today, Tan Han. Go back and have a good rest.”

“Hmm? So soon? You clearly said earlier that it might continue for several days and that I would need to keep my energy focused at all times.”

Tan Han asked with some confusion.

“I also said ‘might’. Experiments are always full of variables, and any plan needs to be arranged according to actual needs.”

I shrugged and gave a random reason.

The actual situation was that things had progressed unexpectedly smoothly.

After the phased information data collection was completed, an interval of time was required.

Each time interval served as a period of self-improvement for Tan Han, and it significantly shortened the time consumed by the refinement of the Self-generating Magic Power.

After this session, the time Tan Han needed to perfect her Self-generating Magic Power was already less than a year, and this duration would continue to decrease according to her progress.

Eventually, it would even be shortened to within one month for the entire process.

This was a massive leap forward.

“Alright…”

Tan Han found it difficult to express anything else regarding this.

“By the way, is it convenient to tell me what that risky attempt you mentioned later… is actually attempting?”

“Of course. Since it’s based on the premise of your safety, I personally believe you have the right to know.”

I looked at Tan Han, knowing she would ask this.

“I am researching Prototype Self-generating Magic Power. This is a special concept I proposed. Do you know about prototype spells?”

“I know about prototype spells.”

Tan Han nodded.

It was a very basic point of knowledge, and after coming into contact with people like Yi Rui, she had a more intuitive understanding of the classifications and relationships between prototype spells and derivative spells.

“But Prototype Self-generating Magic Power… I really haven’t heard of that.”

“That’s natural. Self-generating Magic Power hasn’t even appeared among the Witch projects of the Witch Academy, let alone a concept like ‘prototype.’ But it’s enough that you understand prototype spells. You can think of our current Self-generating Magic Power as a prototype spell. ‘Prototype’ represents the foundation. Once its operating principles are understood, it can be expanded or even derived. What I want to do is roughly along those lines, but it is very difficult and cannot even be promoted. I hope you can understand.”

“I understand.”

Tan Han nodded.

“No, you probably don’t understand yet.”

I denied Tan Han’s statement for her.

“Hmm?”

“You don’t understand the danger of what I just did. What I was doing just now was like when I first dismantled a spellbook; everything about it was unknown. At that time, I even completely destroyed a spellbook because of one mistake. If I hadn’t been careful just now, what would have been destroyed is you! Along with the Self-generating Magic Power inside your body.”

“But aren’t I fine?”

Tan Han shook her head with a light smile, as if she accepted this lucky result very open-mindedly.

Indeed, there was no need for a person to become tense and afraid because of a calamity that didn’t happen.

Sometimes, while a person’s foresight helps in avoiding danger, it can also bring great distress.

“You are bearing a huge risk without being able to enjoy the benefits brought by that risk. I don’t think this behavior is conducive to our current stage of cooperation.”

“Those words… sound like……”

Tan Han asked somewhat hesitantly.

“Don’t doubt it; I’m giving you benefits. Take this.”

As I spoke, I took out an ice-blue crystal.

“Hmm?”

Tan Han was a bit surprised that I had said it so bluntly, but when she saw what I had taken out, she instantly lost her composure.

Because this was the Frozen World!

“Looks familiar, right? The Frozen World. This thing is useless with me. I think it should be quite good for you to use as self-defense.”

I handed the ice crystal over as I spoke.

This thing was a hot potato.

At the moment April ascended to Transcendent, it had slipped from her hand.

To prevent it from being taken by her family, it was recovered by me.

And giving this to Tan Han wasn’t just looking for trouble.

In addition to considering that I couldn’t use it and that this thing was related to Destiny, I mostly wanted to use Tan Han to attract the gazes of those in the academy who coveted [Transcendent Knowledge] fragments.

If this item were in my hands, they likely wouldn’t dare move.

But if it were on Tan Han… combined with the Wand of Absolute Cold she already possessed, it could be said that Tan Han alone held two of the largest fragments!

This temptation… was quite staggering.

Although I had said that touching Tan Han would be targeting me, that was ultimately just a guarantee I had stated.

Compared to directly provoking me, they seemed more willing to test my bottom line, and Tan Han was an excellent way to test my bottom line.

At that time, everything would naturally push Tan Han herself to the forefront, demonstrating the advantages brought by Self-generating Magic Power and the shock brought by Body-transformation Spells.

Of course, the plan was just such a plan, very rough and simple.

But all of this was at zero cost.

As for the Frozen World?

This thing itself was trouble, and it was given to me by that Anti-Witch.

I naturally needed to find a way to deal with it.

Otherwise, if I were being plotted against by her, I could consider this as having pulled one over on her.

Under my strong insistence, Tan Han ultimately couldn’t win the argument and accepted it.

“Alright, then I will temporarily accept this. But this thing is truly too precious…”

“What you’re talking about is only its surface value. By taking this, you will become more high-profile and even attract more trouble. Looking at it that way, how do you think its value to you will change?”

“Valuable things are always coveted by people. That’s not strange, is it?”

“Fine, just take it as something I said randomly.”

I didn’t dwell on it too much and immediately switched to another topic.

“By the way, Tan Han, have you mastered the Magic Power Source condensation technique? You can be considered to have Self-generating Magic Power now. Although your current progress might not be enough to help you condense a Magic Power Source, before long, you should be able to condense a Magic Power Source independently.”

“Not yet.”

Tan Han shook her head and said.

“Then you can get in touch with this technique ahead of time. Do you want me to give it to you? It’s just a simple matter anyway.”

“Really? Then thank you in advance. I have indeed been coveting this technique for a long time.”

These were Tan Han’s sincere words.

After all, who wouldn’t like a Magic Power Source?

Especially for someone like her who had already removed the ten-thousand-unit limit, the value of this technique was simply too great.

“I will send the information for this technique to you through the Great Tree of Knowledge. Just pay attention to receiving it yourself.”

I mobilized the memories and data regarding the Magic Power Source condensation technique from the Great Tree of Knowledge, and along with them, I bundled my understanding and remarks on the technique to send over.

“Hmm, it’s been sent. Speaking of which, are you about to leave?”

“Yes, didn’t you say I could leave? Or did you temporarily change your mind?”

“No, I just wanted to say take care, I won’t see you out…… Oh, I almost forgot. Let’s pre-arrange the time for our next meeting. It’ll make it easier for you to arrange your schedule. Roughly… an interval of two days. That is, you don’t need to come tomorrow or the day after. Just come back the day after that. The specific time will be in the morning, around eight or nine o’clock.”

“Giving me such a long interval of two days?”

Tan Han inquired with some doubt.

“It’s a buffer time I reserved. What if you have something important to do?”

“I don’t think anything at my current stage is more important than Self-generating Magic Power. I can actually avoid some things in my life that delay my time too much.”

“Your consciousness is that high? Then I’ll have to change the interval to one day.”

“Then what’s the final word? Even an interval of one day is no problem.”

“Then let’s make it an interval of one day. It’s all the same to me anyway.”

I looked at Tan Han and eventually retracted my previous suggestion.

Clearly, I had been trying to slow down the pace of my own life, but sometimes I found that others were just as much of an ‘involution king’ as I was…

After seeing Tan Han off, I also began to try some basic attempts regarding infinite magic power.

However, these attempts were not very smooth; I could only say there were still many difficulties.

But regardless, the experiments related to Self-generating Magic Power had entered the right track to some extent, and they were no longer the type that required my constant worry.

I just needed to wait for Yi Rui and the others to perfect the construction ritual, and then I would push forward the subsequent refinement ritual step by step.

As expected, once this kind of experiment has a set result and only requires time to stack up, I quickly lose interest in it.

I am still the type that can only delve deeper if I can maintain curiosity about things.

Which is to say, I am not focused enough.

Even now, I cannot understand the kind of research into Grand Spellbooks where one repeats the same thing day after day for hundreds of years.

What kind of perseverance is that?

Even if I try to convince myself to accept it, my own heart doesn’t understand this behavior.

This is an instinct originating from the heart; without experiencing it personally, one cannot convince oneself.

However, since a period has been silently marked in my heart for Self-generating Magic Power, I also need to find something else for myself to do.

That is to perfect the “Soul Depiction” skill!

This was one of the two most important gains from my trip to find fun!

And I haven’t been in contact with the Fool’s Dream for a long time.

Although I have learned about the daily life of the Fool’s Dream in the academy through the Seed of Great Knowledge, essentially, I have ignored them for a very long time.

I have even rarely visited the Witch Cat Cafe.

The Fool’s Dream I have had the most contact with are the three little ones: Fool’s Blue, Fool’s Luck, and Fool’s Fruit.

After these three little ones completed the modification with the Mimetic Soul technique back then, I haven’t bothered with them much.

At most, I cooperated with them to carry out Dream State projection abilities and so on.

And now, it was indeed time to fulfill the agreement between the Fool’s Dream and me.

After all, I had promised to make the Fool’s Dream Clan a true life form recognized by the void!

Furthermore, I had to repay that investment from Academy Head Mei Linde—the two Primal spell sequences.

Although I still haven’t figured out where the Primal Fool’s Dream Summoning Spell and the Primal Fool’s Dream Transformation Spell are worth valuing so much.

The Fool’s Dream cannot be considered a very powerful existence.

Even if they transform into living beings, they essentially won’t become much stronger and cannot be compared to things like Flame Fairies or Sirens.

Therefore, the most important part was the ‘Primal’ prefix, just like the ‘Prototype’ prefix.

Primal… this concept is truly……

This made me think of the Primal Witch.

Presumably, the Primal Witch should also have a Primal Witch Transformation Spell and Summoning Spell…

I wonder if they have any connection with the concept of the Witch race and the clones born when one ascends to a Transcendent Witch.

Wizard Academy.

The current environment within the Wizard Academy was extremely oppressive.

However, for the low-level wizard apprentices, the environment of the Wizard Academy was oppressive every day.

This was related to the teaching system of the Wizard Academy and the hierarchical structure of the Wizard Towers.

It could be said that the Wizard Towers were pure survival of the fittest.

The capable went up, and the weak went down.

Here, even sympathy was a luxury.

But for the Transcendent Wizards at the high level who controlled all of this, they were also facing immense pressure.

And this pressure came entirely from that terrifying race: the Witches.

Everyone was a Transcendent race; no one had the right to be naive.

The peace of the Main World was hard-won.

Although all of this was initially brought about by the Witches, those who wanted to maintain this peace now were these Transcendent races.

Not just the Transcendent Wizards, but the Forest Elves and those Holy Angels were the same.

They knew exactly what the Witches wanted.

When the Witches forcibly entered and settled in the Main World back then, they had foreseen the Witches’ coveting of the Main World.

When the Main World restoration technique was exposed, it was a straightforward confession of their ambition.

It was just that they were all playing dumb, refusing to face the worst possibility.

Which was that they would be completely expelled from the Main World, and then this place would be completely occupied by the Witches.

Their only trump card that they could rely on but absolutely couldn’t use, the “World’s Navel,” had become the support for their survival.

They were like people desperately trying to save face, unwilling to admit their own weakness yet unable to cope with the harassment and probing from the Witches.

The Witches had only dispatched one Anti-Witch, and it was enough to make them completely lose their cool.

And the bad news was far more than just that.

After that Anti-Witch left, they barely confirmed the losses of the Wizard Academy.

Their most important Teleportation Tower had suffered severe damage.

This was a spatial teleportation Wizard Tower established by a Transcendent Wizard whose primary means was spatial techniques.

It was also the most important teleportation hub of the Wizard Academy.

It possessed the ability to carry out short-distance space teleportation across the void!

Don’t look at it as short-distance void teleportation; if worlds were used as transfer nodes, this was a spatial linking project of matter on a void level!

However, to use this method for teleportation, the consumption of Transcendent materials and energy was too enormous.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, this place only accepted common material information exchange.

To put it bluntly, it was the important hub for the Wizard Academy’s current communication with the game world!

Due to the rampage of that Anti-Witch, this Wizard Tower had now fallen into a state of paralysis.

Even restoring material information exchange might take a long time, let alone relying on this to teleport the carriers of [Transcendent Knowledge]!

This forced the wizards of the Wizard Academy to believe that this was a planned surprise attack by the Witches.

It was further proof of the Witches’ determination to keep that [Transcendent Knowledge], using this method to prevent them from sending it out of the Main World.

It was even possible that this was a warning!

But regardless, they had to deal with these troubles.

The game world could be ignored for now.

After all, their causing trouble in the game world was merely to attract all the Witches’ energy there.

Even that [Transcendent Knowledge] in the game world was just incidental; if they got it, they might even be able to use it as a bargaining chip.

The most important thing was how to continue surviving under the great transformation initiated by the Witches in this Main World.

As the saying goes, the more guilty a person feels, the more they act out.

This was probably the case…
