Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1290: Demon Soul Elixir

Dong Xuanyin was standing in front of a woman, who was actively stirring a thick liquid in a large cauldron. ”What brought you here, evil beast?”

”You don’t need to be this cold toward me, right, Wu Zu?” Dong Xuanyin responded with a playful smile before taking out a fruit. ”I know you need this Nether Spirit Berry, and I happen to have one, so I came here to see you.”

Wu Zu suspiciously looked at her. ”What do you want in exchange?”

”The Demon Soul Elixir.” Wu Zu frowned at Dong Xuanyin. ”I need the elixir to help my acquaintance break through to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks, and this fruit is rarer than your elixir, so you shouldn’t mind giving me one, right?”

”Who is your acquaintance?”

”He is a lust demon.”

”Hmm?” Wu Zu’s expression turned furious, and her tone became cold. ”Is your acquaintance one of Xie Yan and Xie Yao’s subordinates? If he were one of them, I wouldn’t give you my elixir, even if I desperately needed that berry.”

”Hehe.” Dong Xuanyin chuckled at that. ”You hate Xie Yan and Xie Yao so much, huh? Anyways, you don’t need to worry about that because my acquaintance is not part of them, and he is building his own force now. However, he is still too weak, so I decided to come out to specifically help him.”

Dong Xuanyin’s explanation made Wu Zu feel that there was something strange about her decision. ”Why did you suddenly take such a decision? As far as I remember, you never cared about anyone apart from yourself, but you went this far for the sake of a weak demon.”

”Haha.” Dong Xuanyin softly laughed. ”We have known each other for thousands of years, so you should already understand my character, right? My acquaintance is still weak now, but you can’t underestimate him because he is different from other demons or evil beasts. I won’t explain to you in detail for now, but I can tell you that he will bring changes to all living creatures, including your Witch Demon Race.”

”Hmm?” Wu Zu furrowed her brows as she looked at her with disbelief.

Dong Xuanyin shook her head slightly. ”I won’t talk much about him now, and you will know the truth of my words in the future. So, are you willing to give me your elixir?”

”Wait.” Wu Zu hurriedly went to the back room before returning with a vial filled with purple liquid, and she exchanged it for the fruit in Dong Xuanyin’s hands. ”My witch demon race has long lived under pressure from other demon races, and our number continues to decrease every year. If this condition continues, my race will become extinct one day, so I sincerely hope for change. I don’t know your acquaintance, but I know that you are not a braggart, so I will put my trust in you.”

Dong Xuanyin gladly accepted the elixir. ”Don’t worry, I won’t betray your trust in me. However, my acquaintance will never be able to change the situation by himself, and he needs as much help as possible, so I hope that you and the members of your race will be willing to help him when the time comes.”

”I know.” Wu Zu nodded to her. ”If your acquaintance really has the intention to change the situation for the better, my witch demon race will stand by his side and help him to the best of our ability. However, if he betrays us, we will use all our strength to eliminate him, even if we have to fight you.”

Dong Xuanyin smiled in response. ”I assure you that my acquaintance is not a person who would betray his allies, and I believe you will meet him soon, so you can judge his character for yourself at that time. By the way, thanks for the elixir, and I will give it to him now.”

”What—” Dong Xuanyin disappeared before Wu Zhu could ask again. ”Tch! That woman always acts mysterious! Who is the real identity of her acquaintance? Does a lust demon really have the ability to change the adverse situation in this realm? Since she said I would meet her acquaintance one day, I will wait for him to come to me. For now, I won’t tell the others about him, and I will tell them everything after I meet him.”

Thereafter, Wu Zu focused her attention on the cauldron in front of her, but many questions kept popping up in her mind.

After she left the domain, Dong Xuanyin went straight to the Soul-Devouring Domain, but she didn’t meet Zhang Fei or the leader of the Soul-Devouring Demon Race. Instead, she used her abilities to control one of their members, and she ordered him to hand over the Demon Soul Elixir to Nalan Wangzi.

After she confirmed that the elixir fell into Nalan Wangzi’s hands, Dong Xuanyi left the domain for the Ten Thousand Beast Grave Domain. She then returned to her pond and informed the man who lived with her about everything.

After two days of dual cultivation with Fei Lian and Yao Qilin, Zhang Fei sent them to the training space. Although Jiu Yaoming’s figure was quite tempting to him, he never touched her even once; instead, he ordered her to fill as many bottles as possible with her Yin Qi, and he continued to give her the Qi Recovery Pills.

Luckily, Jiu Mozu had not contacted Jiu Yaoming for the past two days, so she could focus on that. After he felt that his stock of Yin Qi was sufficient, Zhang Fei asked her to stop and let her leave, waiting for her demon god’s next order.

Outside the guest room, Zhang Fei found Nalan Wangzi, who immediately informed him about Mo Shentian’s return and several other things.

After she finished explaining everything, Nalan Wangzi took out the Demon Soul Elixir and handed it to Zhang Fei. ”This way, all the items you need have been collected, so you can break through to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks, and I think you will evolve once again after that.”

”Who gave it to you?”

”I don’t know that person’s identity.” Nalan Wangzi told Zhang Fei how she could obtain the elixir.

”I see.” Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ”I think the person who gave this elixir to you was Dong Xuanyin.”

”Huh?” Nalan Wangzi was surprised. ”Are you sure that person is Dong Xuanyin? Why did she help you? You two don’t know each other, right?”

”I’ve never met Dong Xuanyin before, so how could I know her?” Zhang Fei took out the Infernal Blood Core before continuing. ”I don’t know her reason for helping me this far, but Fei Lian told me that she gave this core to her. She also said that woman went to the witch demon race to find the elixir, so I’m sure she’s the one. If I want to know her reason, I have no choice but to go to the Ten Thousand Beast Grave Domain, but I won’t do something so crazy with my current strength because the four perils will detect my presence, and they will attack me directly. Even if I borrow the power of all the beasts inside my beast space, I will never be able to defeat any of them because they are immortal rank beasts, let alone if I have to face all four of them at once.”

Although she wasn’t a beast or a demon beast, Nalan Wangzi knew that beast ranks held significant influence among beasts. Moreover, Zhang Fei’s cultivation was still at the Celestial Lord Realm, so he was clearly no match for the four perils, who already stood at the pinnacle of the cultivation world alongside Long Wuzhao and several other powerful cultivators. ”In that case, let’s return to your pavilion first, and you can use these items to break through to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks. I can’t wait to see your evolution after this, and I’m sure you’ll become even stronger.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei softly laughed. ”My demon identity is a lust demon, remember? All my demon abilities are related to sex, so I will become stronger at it. Since you can’t wait to have sex with me, I will take you there now, but we have to say goodbye to my mother-in-law first.”

Nalan Wangzi pursed her lips. ”Who did you say can’t wait to have sex with you? I haven’t thought about doing it with you yet, so you should have sex with all your wives.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei simply laughed when he heard that.

After they went to see Nalan Shizhe and discussed some matters with her, Zhang Fei immediately took Nalan Wangzi back to the Moonlit Passion Temple. Then, he took her and all his wives in the sect to the pavilion, and one of his clones picked up his other wives, who were in other domains.

Soon, they were already gathered in the pavilion’s main garden, but Zhang Fei didn’t use those items right away. Instead, he handed the Nine-Petal Phantom Soul Lotus to Ru Xue first, which surprised her. ”Why did you give this lotus to me, Fei’er?”
