’Hmm?’ Zhang Fei furrowed his brows as soon as those notifications appeared. ’The system sometimes gives me unreasonable missions! How can I possibly defeat Shang Zhanluo with my current strength? His cultivation has already reached the Celestial Venerable Realm, and his demon rank has also reached the Demon God!’

[You’re lucky because the system never gives you a time limit to complete those quests, Master. Otherwise, you would never have been able to complete all the quests the system gave you in the past or in the future.]

’Well, that’s true.’ Zhang Fei then asked Tian Shuixiang. ”Do you know anything about the five Asura Demon Guardians?”

Tian Shuixiang looked at Zhang Fei. ”What do you want from them? The five Asura Demon Guardians are under Shang Zhanluo’s direct control, and my father is one of them.”

”Is your father really one of them?”

Tian Shuixiang nodded at him. ”In fact, my father’s status within our Asura Demon Race is similar to my father-in-law’s status within the Eternal Night Demon Race, and he is the leader of the five guardians. He should be in the Asura Palace right now, as he rarely leaves Shang Zhanluo’s side. As for the other four guardians, they reside in the northernmost, easternmost, westernmost, and southernmost parts of this domain.”

”Please tell me their identities.

”Shang Beixuan lived in the northernmost. Shang Dongzhu lived in the easternmost. Shang Zhang Xijiao lived in the westernmost. Shang Nanzhui lived in the southernmost.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei tried to check all four directions. ”Who is the strongest and weakest among them?”

Tian Shuixiang informed him directly. ”Shang Beixuan is the strongest among them, and his strength is almost on par with my father’s. Shang Xijiao is the weakest among them, but you can’t underestimate his strength, especially when he uses our race’s strengthening technique.”

”Haha! You’ve been gone for a long time, so you don’t know the changes in their positions.” Zhang Fei and Tian Shuixiang turned to Nalan Wangzi directly. ”Shang Beixuan used to be the strongest, but his position has been replaced by Shang Dongzhu, and the weakest among them is no longer Shang Xijiao but Shang Nanzhui.”

”Has Shang Xijiao ever defeated Shang Nanzhui?” Tian Shuixiang asked in surprise.

”Yes.” Nalan Wangzi nodded at him. ”They fought for a hundred years, and their fight was the most brutal and bloodiest ever. Back then, my mother and the other demon gods were also present to witness their fight. Nalan Xijiao emerged victorious on the final day, but both of them suffered heavy injuries, which took them thousands of years to return to their prime.”

”I see.” Tian Shuixiang then turned to Zhang Fei, who looked curious about that. ”Our demon race is different from other demon races, and we are demons born of battle and nourished by blood. Our status is determined by brutal fights, and we sometimes have to fight to the death to achieve the best status.”

”Wouldn’t that be detrimental to your race?” Zhang Fei asked in confusion.

Tian Shuixiang acknowledged it with a nod. ”The situation is often detrimental to our race, but we cannot change it because that rule has been in place since our Asura Demon Race existed in this universe, and that rule has been ingrained in our bloodline. If we don’t channel our bloodlust in battle, it will take over and control our minds, and we will attack the other races blindly.”

”I’ve heard that the Asura Demon Race is indeed a terrifying race, but I didn’t expect that you guys would be that terrifying.” Zhang Fei then asked him. ”So, where is your acquaintance? Will he come to us? Or should we go see him?”

”We have to go meet him at the Slaughter City; It’s 1,000 miles north of our location.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei looked in the direction Tian Shuixiang was pointing before enveloping the two of them with his aura. ”Let’s go now.”

Tian Shuixiang stopped him immediately. ”I think you shouldn’t use your movement technique here, and we should fly to that city manually. Shang Zhanluo can detect all movement in this domain, and no member of our race can move as fast as you, so he will notice if we infiltrate here.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei immediately withdrew his aura. ”Let’s go there now.”

.

.

.

”Hmm?” A male demon with fiery hair and six arms, who was sitting on his throne, suddenly raised his eyebrows. He quickly moved towards the balcony of his palace and looked into the distance. ”Zhui.”

*Swoosh*

Another male demon with a nearly identical appearance appeared behind him. ”Did you summon me, Demon God?”

”Try checking that direction using your senses.” Shang Zhanluo said, pointing in another direction, specifically towards the location of Zhang Fei and the other two.

Shang Zhui immediately followed Shang Zhanluo’s orders by spreading his senses toward that direction, but his expression turned to shock. ”Demon God, one of them—”

”Yes.” Shang Zhanluo nodded at him. ”One of those two men is your son, Shang Xiuluo. Even though he got help from the Faceless Demon Race to disguise himself, he wouldn’t be able to hide his asura demon aura from me, so I’m sure that he is your son. By the way, I can’t recognize the other man because his aura is completely similar to ours, but the female demon beside them is definitely not a member of our race, and she uses an artifact to imitate our aura.”

Shang Zhui nodded in agreement. ”Could that woman be Ye Zhiye? She and my son ran away from this realm tens of thousands of years ago, and since he’s returned to this realm, I think that woman should be her.”

”That’s possible, but I don’t understand the reason behind their decision to suddenly return to our domain.” Shang Zhanluo fell into thought for a while. ”We have been looking for the two of them for so long, but we have never managed to find any trace of them in this realm.”

Shang Zhui nodded at him. ”In the past, Ye Futian descended to the Three Mortal Realms specifically to look for them, but he was unable to find them there either. Do you want me to capture them now, Demon God?”

”No need.” Shang Zhanlu shook his head in response. ”Judging from the direction they’re flying, they should be heading towards Slaughter City. I’m not interested in your son or Ye Zhiye, but the man by their side gives me a bad feeling. I feel that he is not as simple as he seems from the outside, and there is something inside his body that makes me uneasy.”

Shang Zhui looked at Shang Zhanluo in astonishment, as he had never seen him like that before, and his expression also looked very serious. ”In that case, I will order someone to monitor them, and I will immediately report to you once I get information about that man.”

”Go.” Shang Zhui disappeared from that place, but Shang Zhanluo continued to stand there and look in that direction. ”Who exactly is that man? His cultivation is clearly still at the Celestial Lord Realm, but his presence somehow gives me a dread feeling.”

*Tap... Tap...*

A middle-aged woman with an appearance almost identical to Shang Zhanluo approached him and asked, ”What are you thinking about, husband?”

”Shang Luohu, I feel that there will be turmoil in our domain soon.” The woman looked at Shang Zhanluo in surprise. ”Shang Xiuluo and Ye Zhiye have returned.”

Shang Luohu was even more surprised to hear that. ”Have you ordered Shang Zhui to capture them?”

”No.” Shang Zhanluo then told his wife about Zhang Fei’s presence by their side. ”I’ve never been afraid of Mo Shentian or Long Wuzhao, but the presence of that young demon somehow gives me a feeling of dread, and I haven’t felt this kind of fear in a long time.”

Shang Luohu grabbed her husband’s hand. ”What exactly do you feel from that young demon?”

”I can’t say for sure,” Shang Zhanluo replied with a shake of his head. ”I have ordered Shang Zhui to investigate that young demon, and I will wait for information from him before making a decision. If that young demon is a threat to me and our race, I will come to him to eliminate him.”

Shang Luohu nodded slightly. ”Let’s wait for Zhang Zhui’s report.”

”Yeah.”

.

.

.

[Master, Shang Zhanluo seems to have noticed the presence of the three of you, and he ordered someone to investigate you.]

Zhang Fei nodded slightly because he had previously felt Shang Zhanluo and Shang Zhui’s senses lock onto them. He then spoke to Tian Shuixiang. ”Your demon god has already noticed our presence, and he seems to have seen through your disguise.”

”Hmm?” Tian Shuixiang and Nalan Wangzi turned to Zhang Fei in shock. ”Are you sure about that, brother-in-law? Why didn’t we detect anything earlier?”

Zhang Fei shook his head at Nalan Wangzi. ”I can’t say for sure, but I previously felt two senses locking onto us, and I’m certain one of them belongs to Shang Zhanluo.”
