Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1286: Soul Wraith Lord

In the Heavenly Fiend Domain, Dong Xuanyin stood with a satisfied smile in front of the red corpse she had just killed. She squatted beside it and extracted its Blood Core, but she suddenly sensed a powerful aura flying at high speed toward her location. ”Hehe! That Heavenly Fiend Demon God just noticed my actions, but he realized it too late.”

Shortly after Dong Xuanyin disappeared, the Heavenly Fiend Demon God, Sha Mo, landed in the area. His face turned furious as soon as he saw the Infernal Fiend’s corpse, and his aura exploded, frightening the members of his race who were nearby.

”Bastard! Who dares to kill my pet? Come out, you coward!” Naturally, no one answered Sha Mo, making him even more furious. ”Who exactly intruded into my domain and killed my pet? How could that person escape my surveillance? Furthermore, I’ve already used my fastest speed to get here, but I still lost track of that person. My pet’s Blood Core is extremely precious. Whoever killed it, I think there are only two possibilities. First, that person wants to sell the core. Second, that person wants to use it to help another demon break through to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks.”

Since he couldn’t find anyone, Sha Mo immediately destroyed the corpse and ordered all his subordinates to search their own domains as well as some other domains, particularly those associated with black markets.

Sha Mo examined a nearby area and was relieved to discover numerous Infernal Fiends still alive. ”Whoever designed the requirements for breaking through to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks is truly annoying! That person makes the demons continue to hunt my pets, and their numbers continue to decrease every year.”

Thereafter, Sha Mo hurriedly left the area and returned to his palace, waiting for the results of his subordinates’ search.

On top of a tree trunk, Zhang Fei sat facing the lotus, accompanied by Nalan Wangzi and Yao Qilin on either side, with Jiu Yaoming standing beside them. They patiently waited for the lotus to fully bloom, but they felt the process slow down after the fifth petal opened.

”Aren’t you interested in eating her, brother-in-law?” Nalan Wangzi glanced at Jiu Yaoming.

”Even though she is powerful and has reached the Demon Saint Rank, I have no interest in her. For the time being, I intend to use her to monitor the Jiu Demon Clan, but I will do something to her in the future depending on the situation.” Zhang Fei hugged Nalan Wangzi and briefly kissed her. ”Instead of her, I’m more impatient to eat you, my dear sister-in-law.”

”Hehehe.” Nalan Wangzi giggled at that. ”Then, you have to wait until I’m fully ready, but I won’t promise you when I’ll be ready.”

Zhang Fei’s lips twitched slightly. ”Little minx, you are mine alone; you must always remember that.”

”Why don’t you ask her to release her Yin Qi by force, Master? Her Yin Qi is powerful, and it should be useful for you and your people.” Yao Qilin spoke.

”Naturally, I’ve thought about that.” Zhang Fei pointed to the lotus. ”We will face the Soul Wraith Lord soon, so I can’t possibly tire her out now, right? Once we complete our tasks in this forest, I will harvest a significant amount of her Yin Qi for my people.”

”Oh.” Yao Qilin nodded slightly.

Zhang Fei kissed Yao Qilin while fondling her breasts. ”As for me, I have you, Fei Lin, and all my wives.”

”You’re a pervert!” Despite this, Yao Qilin seemed eager to dual cultivate with Zhang Fei, especially after they had done it repeatedly in the past half year at the pavilion. ”This lotus takes too long to fully bloom.”

”We have no other choice but to wait.”

Dong Xuanyin flew into another domain with a joyful smile, as she was sure that Sha Mo must be enraged after finding his pet dead. She immediately ignored that and searched for Fei Lian in the domain.

”Why did she choose to hide in this domain? Did Zhang Fei order her to hide here?” After she discovered the location of Fei Lian and her subordinates, Dong Xuanyin flew at full speed towards their location.

Fei Lian, who was relaxing within a whirlwind, hurriedly opened her eyes as soon as she felt Dong Xuanyin’s aura.

”Shit! Who is coming here? This aura clearly belongs to an evil beast like me!” Fei Lian wanted to flee immediately, but Dong Xuanyin landed in front of her first, causing her to freeze in place. ”Why... why are you here? Did they ask you to hunt us?”

”Hehe.” Dong Xuanyin chuckled in response. ”Do you think Taotie and the others can order me around? Actually, we’re both on the same side now, so you don’t need to be this afraid of me.”

”What... what do you mean by that?” Dong Xuanyin took out the Infernal Blood Core and handed it to Fei Lian, leaving her dumbfounded. ”This—”

”Zhang Fei asked you to look for the other three materials, right?” Fei Lian was even more stunned when she heard that name from Dong Xuanyin’s mouth. ”Honestly, I’ve never met him in person, but I’m his ally. I know a few things he needs, including the three materials. You can bring this core to him in the Soul-Devouring Domain, so he only lacks the Demon Soul Elixir for his demon rank to break through.”

Fei Lian put the core into her storage ring. ”How can you be his ally if you’ve never met him? Furthermore, the four lords have always wanted your help, but you’ve always refused them; instead, you chose to help a young demon you still don’t know.”

”You don’t need to concern yourself with my affairs, do you?” Fei Lian shivered when Dong Xuanyin’s eyes glowed. ”As for the Demon Soul Elixir, I heard there is a witch demon active in the Nightshade Domain, so you should go there to look for her. However, I don’t know her or her character, and that demon race is famous for being difficult to deal with, so you should be careful when you go to see her.”

Fei Lian naturally knew about the characters of the Witch Demon Race, and she really didn’t want to meet any of them. ”Why don’t you help him search for the Demon Soul Elixir? You are stronger than me, and you have your special abilities, so your chances of getting the elixir are much greater. On the other hand, I will go to the Soul-Devouring Domain to find him, and I will hand over the core to him.”

”Hmm?” Dong Xuanyin thought for some time before agreeing. ”Alright, I will go to the Nightshade Domain to look for that witch demon, and you can find Zhang Fei in the Soul-Devouring domain. However, you must not tell him about me; do you understand?”

”I know.” Dong Xuanyin disappeared directly after that, and Fei Lian spoke to her subordinates. ”You guys wait for me here, and I will go to the Soul-Devouring domain.”

”Yes, Master.”

Sometime later, Fei Lian arrived at the Soul-Devouring Domain, and she immediately contacted Zhang Fei as she couldn’t track his location.

Soon, a portal appeared behind Fei Lian, and a hand quickly pulled her inside. When she came out again, she found herself in the forest. She then looked at Zhang Fei. ”How can you move so fast? I just entered this domain, but you suddenly brought me here, and I can barely see the previous place.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei used his aura to pull Fei Lian into his lap before kissing her. ”We fought in the dungeon before, and you couldn’t catch up to me, remember? So, what are you doing here?”

”This.” Fei Lian took out the Infernal Blood Core, surprising Zhang Fei and Nalan Wangzi.

Zhang Fei took the core from Fei Lian’s hand. ”Where did you get it? How did you know that I was in this domain?”

”A female beast gave me the item, but I cannot disclose her identity.” Zhang Fei furrowed his brows at Fei Lian. ”She can find me wherever I hide, and she will beat me if I tell you about her.”

”Master, I know—”

*Swoosh.”

A massive shockwave suddenly swept toward them, and Zhang Fei carried them all away from their previous location. He looked ahead and found the lotus in full bloom. ”Shit!”

”Look at that, brother-in-law!” Nalan Wangzi pointed at the vague figure of a giant that was slowly becoming clear. ”It’s the Soul Wraith Lord!”

Zhang Fei nodded to her. ”Mei, scan that creature!”

[Master, I can’t scan that creature’s status yet, so we have to wait for its figure to become fully clear first.]

”Wangzi, I can’t confirm the strength of this creature yet, but I believe it is very strong. I will send you away, and the four of us will deal with it.” Nalan Wangzi did not argue and let Zhang Fei send her into the training space. ”Get ready!”

Yao Qilin, Feli Lian, and Jiu Yaoming immediately became alert and took out their respective weapons.

Zhang Fei immediately summoned the demon extermination sword before using his absolute condition ability and the Soul Link to strengthen himself, and he used several of his other abilities.

Zhang Fei gripped the hilt of the demon extermination sword tightly, as his eyes never left the figure of the Soul Wraith Lord that was becoming increasingly clear.

Soon, the Soul Wraith Lord’s figure was completely clear, but it immediately released an angry roar.

*Roar*
