Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1281: Soul-Devouring Demonic Seal

Nalan Shizhe and the five elders were increasingly overwhelmed in stopping the soul creature, especially after it had absorbed many wandering evil souls to increase its strength.

”Demon God! We must use that.” A male elder spoke with a grim expression.

Nalan Shizhe had considered using the strongest technique of her soul-devouring race, but she was still reluctant to use it because it would drain too much of her strength, and it would take a long time for her to recover to her peak.

After thinking about it, Nalan Shizhe decided to use the strongest technique of their race. ”Let’s do it.”

”Yes!” The five elders immediately moved behind Nalan Shizhe, touched her back, and channeled their demon power into her body.

In the distance, Jiu Yaoming, who was still busy looking for Zhang Fei, immediately stopped and looked in their direction. ’Nalan Shizhe finally decided to use that, huh? Once she uses it, she will be weakened and vulnerable for quite a while, and she will become an easy target for the other demon gods. Unfortunately, Mo Shentian and Shang Zhanluo are away, so they are unlikely to attack her anytime soon. The last person who will likely attack her is the Torture Demon God, Ku Shenzu.’

Jiu Yaoming ignored Nalan Shizhe and continued her search for Zhang Fei, and she went to the Wailing Soul Forest.

After receiving a significant amount of demon power from the five elders, Nalan Shizhe immediately made several hand gestures while chanting an incantation. The air temperature throughout the domain dropped rapidly, which made those wandering evil souls scatter in various directions, especially those in that area.

Nalan Shizhe’s red eyes turned grey, and a pitch-black aura enveloped her body. ”Soul-Devouring Demon Domain!”

A giant transparent mouth shot out and lunged towards the soul creature, devouring it whole. The soul creature struggled to escape from it, but all its attacks were nullified by the mouth.

”Phew.” Nalan Shizhe sighed in relief, then proceeded to make several other gestures. ”Soul-Devouring Demonic Seal!”

Quickly, the giant transparent mouth shrank rapidly before disappearing completely along with the soul creature, making the situation in their domain return to normal.

The five elders withdrew their demon power, and a female demon hurriedly supported Nalan Shizhe, who looked exhausted after using both techniques. ”We can’t go on like this, and I have to think of something to kill that creature, or it will keep coming back.”

”How are we supposed to kill it, Demon God?” The female elder asked. ”As long as these wandering evil souls exist in this domain, that soul creature will continue to appear. Even the previous demon god had tried various ways to kill it, but he never succeeded, and he always used the same technique to repel it.”

Nalan Shizhe released a soft sigh before looking at the surrounding area. ”The existence of these wandering evil souls is like a double-edged sword for our race. They can protect us against the other demon races, but they also bring disaster upon us, particularly whenever that soul creature appears. The only way to stop this situation from recurring is to eliminate them, but we will lose our protectors. That’s why the previous demon god never thought about getting rid of them, and I would never think of doing it either. Let’s go back for now and never mention that kid, as Jiu Mozu still watches over our domain through Jiu Yaoming.”

”Yes, Demon God.”

In the forest, Nalan Wangzi and Nalan Huanzi let out sighs of relief when Zhang Fei informed them that their mother had successfully eliminated the soul creature.

”Even though she succeeded in eliminating the soul creature, she lost a lot of her strength in doing so, and she’s in a weakened state now.” Zhang Fei then handed some pills to Nalan Huanzi. ”Brother-in-law, I’ll send you out of this forest, and you can give these pills to her. If she’s in this condition, I’m afraid the other demon gods will take advantage of the situation to attack your demon race. Although these pills can help her recover her qi, they can’t help her recover her demon power, so she must recover it herself.”

After he received the pills, Zhang Fei immediately opened a gate leading to the Slaughter Blood Domain because it was the closest to the Soul Devouring Domain, and Nalan Huanzi hurriedly disappeared into it.

Zhang Fei closed the gate and looked towards the sky. ”Jiu Yaoming is right above us.”

”Are you thinking of doing something to her, brother-in-law?” Nalan Wangzi asked him. ”Her eyes can see through your invisibility, so I think it’s too risky for you to confront her head-on. Furthermore, these people are still absorbing the lotuses, so I think it would be better if you wait for them to finish first, and you can think of other ways to deal with her while they wait.”

”Actually, I only need to touch Jia Youming once, and I can do something to her right then and there.” Nalan Wangzi naturally knew what Zhang Fei meant. ”Forget it; I will wait for them to finish absorbing these lotuses before making a decision about her.”

”I think that would be much better.” Nalan Wangzi then pulled Zhang Fei away. ”Rather than having both of us idle and these evil beasts protecting them, I will accompany you to absorb these wandering souls.”

Upon returning to his domain, Nalan Huanzi hurriedly went to see his mother. He handed her all the pills and informed her of Zhang Fei’s previous message. ”You should swallow these pills now, mother.”

”I know.” Nalan Shizhe immediately sat cross-legged on the bed and swallowed the pills one by one. Within moments, she could feel her Qi recovering rapidly, and she tried to absorb Qi from the air to speed up her recovery. To her surprise, her absorption rate was also much faster than usual, which excited her. ’Sigh! A god-rank alchemist is indeed different, and the effect of his pills is really powerful. Fortunately, he is my son-in-law, and he should be able to help my demon race become stronger.’

”How did it go, mother?” Nalan Huanzi asked as soon as his mother opened her eyes.

”Phew.” Nalan Shizhe exhaled with a sense of relief. ”His pills are unmatched, and we won’t be able to find them anywhere else. My qi absorption rate has become several times faster than before, and the qi in my body has also recovered by half. Since he doesn’t have pills to help me absorb demon power, I’ll try to recover it myself. Alright, you can go now, and I will start my seclusion. Since Jiu Yaoming is still in our domain, I’m sure he won’t come back here, and you don’t need to mention him to anyone.”

”Yes, Mother.”

After Nalan Huanzi left, Nalan Shizhe sealed her room and began her seclusion.

After searching for several days, Mo Shentian and his third son, Mo Tianqi, finally arrived at a remote area in the Ten Thousand Beast Grave Domain. Although the area was surrounded by many graves, like the other areas, they saw a rather beautiful pond in the center. However, a barrier prevented them from approaching, and it pushed them back when they tried to touch it.

”How strong is the female evil beast really, father?” Mo Tianqi asked.

Mo Shentian released a soft sigh. ”How strong do you think she would be if the four perils couldn’t control her?”

”Huh?” Mo Tianqi looked at his father in shock. ”Are the four of them really unable to control her, father?”

”Stop talking about her because she can hear you; otherwise, she will capture you, and I won’t be able to save you from her.” Mo Shentian then walked in front of the barrier. ”Dong Xuanyin, I know you are there, and I came here to ask for your help. If you are willing to help me, I will fulfill your one request, no matter what it is.”

Mo Tianqi was stunned when he heard that. ’Why did my father go that far by promising like that?’

”I’m not interested in that, so you can take your stupid son away.” Dong Xuanyin answered him without showing herself.

Mo Tianqi’s face darkened upon hearing that, but Mo Shentian shot him a sharp glance, signaling for him to control himself.

Mo Shentian then spoke to Dong Xuanyin again. ”Won’t you be interested in the ten-tailed fox’s successor, Xuanyin? I haven’t met Zhang Fei in person, but I heard he has arrived in our realm, and several races are looking for him now. If you are willing to help me achieve my goal, I will help you to get him, and you can do whatever you want to him.”

”Hahaha!” Dong Xuanyin laughed heartily, but she still had no intention of meeting Mo Shentian. ”Do you think I don’t know that the ten-tailed fox’s successor has arrived in this realm? If I want to get him, I don’t need your help to find him, and I can go find him myself. Therefore, you better leave my place now, or I will teach you a lesson far more severe than in the past.”

Mo Shentian frowned at that, as not many dared to threaten him. However, he was fully aware of Dong Xuanyin’s strength and abilities, and he also urgently needed her help to find Wu Mian’s true body, so he swallowed his anger immediately. ”Xuanyin, I—”

*Boom*

The water in the pond immediately exploded, followed by Dong Xuanyin’s thunderous voice. ”Leave!”
