Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1253: Blood Sea

Tian Shuixiang frowned at that. ”If that’s true, the other sense should belong to my father since he never left Shang Zhanluo’s side.”

”I think so.” Zhang Fei then asked Nalan Wangzi. ”Do you want to go back first? If you stay with us, it will be difficult for us to protect you if they attack us.”

Nalan Wangzi’s lips curled upwards. ”Brother-in-law, do you realize how much you underestimate me? Although I don’t have your abilities, I am the first princess of the Soul-Devouring Demon Race. My cultivation is above yours, and my abilities are different from those of my little sisters. As long as Shang Zhanluo or his five guardians don’t attack us, I’m confident in defeating the others, so you don’t need to worry about me.”

”Alright then.” Zhang Fei then spoke to Tian Shuixiang again. ”You should contact your acquaintances first, as I’m sure Shang Zhanluo and your father have already ordered people in the Slaughter City to investigate us. Let’s meet him somewhere else, and if possible, ask him to meet us in Blood Sea directly.”

Tian Shuixiang nodded in agreement. ”Since Shang Zhanluo and my father already know of our presence, you don’t need to hide your abilities anymore, and you can take us to the Blood Sea directly. However, we still have to be careful of Shang Beixuan because that area is within his territory, and he is the most fierce among the others.”

After Tian Shuixiang contacted his acquaintance, Zhang Fei enveloped her and Nalan Wangzi with his aura before taking them into the Blood Sea.

Shang Zhanluo and his wife, who were monitoring them from their palace, were shocked by their movements.

”How can that young demon move so fast, husband?” Shang Luohu asked in astonishment. ”His cultivation is at the Celestial Lord Realm, so his speed shouldn’t be that fast. Even with our cultivation and speed, we can barely keep up with his movement. Moreover, he’s not moving alone, and he’s carrying those two people with him, which makes it even more impossible for him to move that fast.”

Shang Zhanluo pondered for a while before answering her. ”If my guess is correct, it wasn’t his true speed, but he used a movement technique to boost his speed, allowing him to take them away so quickly.”

”Have you ever seen a movement technique that can allow us to move that fast?” Shang Luohu doubtfully asked.

”Yes.” Shang Zhanluo nodded at her. ”Have you forgotten about the existence of the Speed Demon, Su Shentian? Before he became as strong as he is now, his speed was already impressive, and no one has ever been able to capture him since his appearance. I heard that Long Xukong once tried to capture him in a match, but his speed surpassed that old dragon’s speed in executing his void abilities.”

”Naturally, I remember Su Shentian, but that man has no relationship with anyone, and he also doesn’t have a disciple. Moreover, he has never liked demons, so I don’t believe that the young demon has a relationship with him. Shang Zhanluo doesn’t deny Shang Luohu’s words, but he can’t think of any other possibility besides that. ”Where are they going now?”

”The Blood Sea.” Shang Luohu was surprised to hear that from Shang Zhanluo. ”I don’t understand why the young demon brought them there, but the sea is beneficial for him. If he cultivates and absorbs the demon Qi there, his body will become stronger, but it will also increase his bloodlust. If he loses control of his bloodlust, it will take over his mind, and he will become a cold-blooded demon.”

”Does that mean he is not from our race?”

”That young demon does have the physique and aura of our asura demon race, but I dare say with certainty that he’s not an asura demon like us.” Shang Luohu immediately realized something, which Shang Zhanluo confirmed with a nod. ”The lust demon race has the ability to manipulate their body and aura like that of other living creatures, so I believe he is a lust demon. However, I don’t understand how he knows Shang Xiuluo and Ye Ziye, and both of them seem to respect him.”

Shang Luohu turned toward the location of the Blood Sea. ”Could it be that the young demon has been hiding them all this time? You previously said that someone from the Faceless Demon Race helped Shang Xiuluo disguise himself, and that young demon could modify his or other people’s bodies.”

”Your guess may be correct, but we can only find out the answer by capturing them.” Shang Zhanluo released a soft sigh before continuing. ”The Blood Sea is in Sheng Beixuan’s territory, and I’m sure that guys will notice their presence once they arrive there.”

”Are you going to ask Shang Beixuan to capture them?”

Shang Zhanlu shook his head slightly. ”With that young demon’s speed, Shang Beixuan would never succeed in capturing them. Moreover, I still feel that there is something strange about that young demon, and I still can’t get rid of this feeling of fear coming from him, so it will be better if we don’t act now. Instead, I asked him to monitor their activities from afar to find out their purpose here, and I will make a decision once we have clear information about them.”

”What if I go there to monitor them directly?” Shang Zhanluo frowned at Shang Luohu. ”I don’t know why you feel that way about that young man, but I don’t share your feelings. Furthermore, our strengths are almost equal, and he will never be able to harm me with his current cultivation. Additionally, we are in our domain, and I can boost my strength even more, so there is no need for you to be overly worried, right?”

Shang Zhanluo released a soft sigh before nodding. ”Alright, you can go to the Blood Sea, but I don’t want you to contact them directly, and you must monitor them from afar.”

”Alright.” Shang Luohuo immediately flew out of their palace and headed for the Blood Sea.

The Blood Sea was the heart of the endless and churning Slaughter Blood Domain, where the Asura Demon Race thrived. Its waves were not water but boiling, scarlet blood, formed from centuries of slaughter, sacrifice, and battle. The stench of death filled the air, and the cries of the fallen seemed to echo endlessly off its surface.

Its tides surge with malevolent demon qi, devouring the weak and tempering the strong. In its depths lurks a terrifying creature born from the essence of pure-blood creatures with blood-stained wings and an endless hunger. Even the Asura Demons themselves fear entering its deepest layers. At its center lies the Blood Abyss, an unfathomable vortex of blood and darkness that never ceases to devour.

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei frowned as soon as they landed on the side of the Blood Sea, and Mei immediately told him about the creature in its depths. ”Do you know anything about the creature in this sea?”

”Hmm?” Tian Shuixiang looked at Zhang Fei in surprise, but he only smiled in response. ”The creature you’re referring to is the Slaughter Blood Phantom, and it’s the sole guardian of this domain. I don’t know how it was born, but legends within my race say that it was born from the blood of billions of living creatures who died here, both demons and other living beings. The more blood that is sacrificed, the stronger the creature will become. However, few members of my race, including my father, have ever seen it. It has never surfaced before, and it has always remained at the bottom of the sea.”

”The blood of billions of living creatures who died here?” Zhang Fei was shocked by that.

”Yes.” Tian Shuixiang nodded at him. ”Even though this Paradise Realm is still chaotic today, the situation in this realm was far more chaotic in the past because the war between all races never stopped back then. This domain used to be the worst among all domains, and countless living beings died here. According to the legends, this Blood Sea was formed from the blood of those who died here, and the ancestors of my Asura Demon Race took over this domain after the war subsided because the bloodlust and demon Qi here were very beneficial for our race.”

Nalan Wangzi then spoke to Zhang Fei, ”Brother-in-law, each demon domain possesses a unique dark history, which causes righteous cultivators to avoid approaching any of them due to this ominous past. Just like this domain, my Soul-Devouring Domain was one of the worst battlefields in the past. Even to this day, many of the souls of the victims still roam there, and they will absorb the souls of living beings who enter my domain, especially those who are not demons. Because of their presence there, my ancestors chose that domain as our race’s residence, and those souls dare not approach us because they know that we can absorb their souls.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ”The existence of your race and those souls in that domain benefits each other, and they indirectly become protectors for the members of your race.”

”That’s right.” Nalan Wangzi nodded at him. ”So, what are we going to do here now? Why don’t you just look for that item?”

”The item is over there.” Zhang Fei pointed in one direction. ”However, I’m curious about this Blood Sea, and the blood within it should be very beneficial to demons like us.”
