Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1256: Enter The Blood Sea

Tian Shuixiang nodded slightly. ”Father, my friend is indeed a lust demon, but he’s not an ordinary lust demon. I don’t understand why he lured the Slaughter Blood Phantom out, but he often does unexpected things.”

”Hmm?” Shang Zhui furrowed his brows because the Slaughter Blood Phantom didn’t immediately attack Zhang Fei; instead, it circled around him as if it was curious about him. ’What happened?’

*Thud... Thud... Thud...*

Shang Luohu and the other four asura guardians decided to appear in front of them, causing Tian Shuixiang and Nalan Wangzi to take a few steps back. However, they paid no attention to the two of them; instead, their gazes were solely focused on Zhang Fei and the Slaughter Blood Phantom.

”Have any of you ever seen the Slaughter Blood Phantom act like this?” Shang Luohu asked them.

”Yes.” Shang Beixuan replied with a nod. ”The Slaughter Blood Phantom only acted like this towards the previous Asura Demon God.”

”Since then, the Slaughter Blood Phantom has never acted this docile, and it attacked our emperor when he tried to challenge it in the past.” Shang Dongzhu added.

Shang Nanzhui then asked. ”Do you think this young demon has a relationship with the previous demon god?”

”Impossible!” Shang Xijiao denied his friend straight away. ”This young demon is not a member of our demon race, and he only disguised himself, so he cannot possibly have any relationship with our previous demon god.”

Shang Luohu looked back at Tian Shuixiang. ”What information do you have about this young demon, Xiuluo?”

”I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you anything about him, empress.” Tian Shuixiang’s answer caused Shang Luohu, Shang Zhui, and the other four to frown. ”He has helped me and Ziye a lot in the past, and he is my current leader, so I won’t say anything about him.”

”Your leader?” The six asura demons were shocked to hear this because Zhang Fei was weaker than Tian Shuixiang, but he was willing to acknowledge him as his leader. Furthermore, their asura demon race would only recognize the strongest as their leader, making it difficult for them to believe his words.

Nalan Wangzi shook her head when Shang Luohu and the others looked at her. ”I haven’t known him for a long time, so I don’t have much information about him. Instead of wondering about him, you can wait for him to act.”

”Who exactly are you? Why are you disguised as a member of our demon race? Shang Luohu asked with a frown.

Nalan Wangzi shrugged casually. ”I don’t have any intentions towards your demon race, and I disguised myself just to accompany him because I was bored with my domain, so I wanted to take a walk here.”

”Hmm?” Shang Luohu squinted her eyes, seriously observing Nalan Wangzi while searching in her memories for information regarding her. ’Who exactly is this woman? Why isn’t she afraid of me? How can she disguise her aura this perfectly?’

*Roar*

A loud roar startled them, and they hurriedly returned their gaze to the Slaughter Blood Phantom, which was snaking in front of Zhang Fei again.

Zhang Fei had already opened his eyes, and his bloody-red eyes shone brightly. He casually looked at the Slaughter Blood Phantom, and there was not the slightest fear in his expression. He did not stop absorbing the power contained in the blood; instead, his absorption rate was getting faster and faster.

Zhang Fei smirked faintly before releasing his killing intent and bloodlust, which spread and enveloped the entire area of the Blood Sea.

Shang Luohu and the five asura demon guardians were somehow frightened by Zhang Fei’s killing intent and bloodlust, and they subconsciously took a step back. ’What the hell is with this young demon? How can he scare us with his killing intent and bloodlust?’

Zhang Fei extended his hand to the Slaughter Blood Phantom. ”I didn’t come here to disturb or challenge you, but I want to absorb the power contained within the blood to increase my strength.”

The Slaughter Blood Phantom fiercely stared at Zhang Fei, but it suddenly brought its head to him and wagged its tail, allowing him to pet it like a docile beast.

Shang Luohu and the five asura demon guardians were dumbstruck watching the behavior of the Slaughter Blood Phantom. Nalan Wangzi was also astonished by that because she still didn’t know Zhang Fei that well, and she turned to Tian Shuixiang, who shook his head in response.

The five male asura demons rubbed their eyes to make sure they didn’t see wrongly, but it was a fact that the phantom was being docile towards Zhang Fei. ’What the fuck is going on here?’

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed as he patted the head of the Slaughter Blood Phantom. ”You like my killing intent and bloodlust, huh?”

The Slaughter Blood Phantom nodded to Zhang Fei before looking at the surface of the blood sea, and a large hole suddenly appeared in it, making the bottom visible to his eyes.

The Slaughter Blood Phantom’s actions perplexed Shang Luohu and the others, and they immediately realized its intentions towards Zhang Fei.

”Do you want to take me there?” The Slaughter Blood Phantom said nothing and pulled Zhang Fei into the Blood Sea, and the blood immediately closed by itself.

Shang Luohu was completely confused by the behavior of the Slaughter Blood Phantom. ”What’s really going on here? Why is the phantom so docile to that young demon?”

”That young demon doesn’t seem like an ordinary demon, empress.” Shang Zhui spoke to her. ”We and our emperor continue to feel an unusual feeling radiating from him, but I can’t determine what makes him different.”

Shang Luohu nodded to Shang Zhui before flying away. ”My husband should already know about this matter, but I will return to the palace to meet him, and you guys must stay here to wait for that young demon to return.”

”You guys wait here.” Shang Zhui then enveloped Tian Shuixiang and Nalan Wangzi with his aura. ”We’ll talk somewhere else.”

”Yes, father.” Tian Shuixiang and Nalan Wangzi could only surrender as Shang Zhui took them away.

”How did that young demon manage to tame the Slaughter Blood Phantom?” Shang Beixuan asked the other three.

Shang Nanzhui shook his head in response. ”Not even we or our emperor can tame the Slaughter Blood Phantom.”

”Hey! That young man seems to have some special abilities, so I’ll wait for him to come out of the Blood Sea and challenge him to a fight.” The other three turned to Shang Xijiao. ”What? Why are you guys looking at me like this? Aren’t you interested in fighting him?”

Shang Dongzhu nodded at him. ”Naturally, I want to fight that young demon, but we don’t know when he’ll emerge from the Blood Sea. Furthermore, he managed to bring Shang Xiuluo and that female demon into our domain without us noticing, and we only realized their presence after they made their way here.”

”Do you think he will run away?”

”Yes.” Shang Dongzhu nodded slightly. ”Unfortunately, we have no choice but to wait, as the Slaughter Blood Phantom will attack us if we disturb them now.”

Shang Xijiao immediately sat down in his spot. ”Let’s wait then! I hope he won’t run away from us because I really want to fight him.”

.

When they arrived at the bottom of the Blood Sea, Zhang Fei saw countless skeletons there, and he could feel that the power contained within the blood came from them.

The Slaughter Blood Phantom immediately moved to a rock that wasn’t very large, but it exuded a strong bloodlust and glowed blood-red. It curled up there and circled the rock, signaling Zhang Fei to sit on the rock.

Zhang Fei immediately sat on the rock and absorbed the power in it and the blood, but his bloodlust immediately went out of control, causing his eyes to become even redder. He hurriedly suppressed it while channeling his light element into his body. ’Phew! Almost! It would be troublesome if I lost control of my bloodlust.’

Mei suddenly spoke to him. [Master, you’ll definitely be surprised by the item inside the rock beneath you.]

’Oh?’ Zhang Fei raised an eyebrow slightly. ’What item are you referring to, Mei?’

[Haha! The Asura Demon Bloodline Crystal Essence!] Zhang Fei was shocked by that. [If you can persuade this Slaughter Blood Phantom to hand it over to you, you’ll obtain their bloodline. This way, you’ll be able to use their abilities, including their secret strengthening technique. Moreover, that bloodline does not belong to the current Asura Demon Race but rather to one of their members from the past, who might be even more powerful than their current demon god.]

Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ”I’ll think about that later, and I’ll focus on tempering myself inside first. Do you think I can bring the blood of this sea into the training space, Mei?”

[Unfortunately, you can’t do that, Master. If you want to cultivate in this sea, you have no choice but to come to this domain. I think it’s not a problem for you because this Slaughter Blood Phantom is attracted to you, so you can come in here whenever you want.]

Zhang Fei let out a disappointed sigh after hearing that, as he preferred cultivating in the training space rather than in the outside world, mainly because of the time flow there. ’Mei, I’ll focus on cultivating here, so I need you to monitor Tian Shuixiang and Nalan Wangzi.’

[Leave them to me, Master.]
