Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1285: Demon-Piercing Eye

After waiting for quite a while, Zhang Fei found Jiu Yaoming already close to their location, and he immediately informed Yao Qilin about the female demon.

’Brother-in-law, the lotus is starting to bloom.’

’Yes.’ Zhang Fei thoughtfully looked at the lotus, which was glowing increasingly brightly. He could see that one petal had already opened, but he still had to wait for the remaining eight to open. ’I hope it doesn’t fully bloom before we take care of Jiu Yaoming, or her presence will be troublesome for us.’

’I hope so.’ Nalan Wangzi looked at another area. ’Jiu Yaoming is almost here, right?’

’She’ll be here soon.’ Zhang Fei took Nalan Wangzi further away so that Jiu Yaoming could not find them.

A few minutes later, Jiu Yaoming arrived at the heart of the forest, and she stopped as soon as she saw Yao Qilin casually sitting on a boulder. ”How did you end up in this forest? Didn’t Long Wuzhao capture you and the other beast generals?”

”Haha.” Yao Qilin laughed softly as she looked at her. ”Do you think I’m that weak, little eye demon? Long Wuzhao almost captured me, but I managed to escape from him, and I hid in the abyss until the time was up. Thereafter, I escaped into this forest to hide and recover from my injury at that time.”

”Hmm?” Jiu Yaoming looked distrustful of Yao Qilin.

”I wasn’t the only one who escaped, and there was still one more, but Fei Lian was hiding in another domain.” Yao Qilin then pointed at the lotus. ”I came here to look for it, as it can help me recover from my soul injury.”

Jiu Yaoming looked at the lotus. ”Huh? What luck! The Phantom Soul Lotus will soon fully bloom into a nine-petal lotus!”

”First come, first served!” Yao Qilin shouted at Jiu Yaoming as she released her aura to deter her, causing her to frown. ”I may be injured, but you’re still no match for me. Even if Jiu Mozi were here, he wouldn’t dare to bother me because I’m Lord Qiongqi’s woman.”

”This bitch! She deliberately used the name of one of the four perils to bully me!” Jiu Yaoming moved her eyeballs around to inspect the area, and she only approached Yao Qilin after she ensured everything was safe. ”Did you know that the Soul Wraith Lord will appear once that lotus is in full bloom?”

”I’ve lived a lot longer than you; do you think I don’t know such a trivial matter?” Yao Qilin’s mocking response angered Jiu Yaoming, but she reconsidered attacking her due to her status and the disparity in their cultivation levels. ”What brings an eye demon like you to this domain? Aren’t you afraid of provoking Nalan Shizhe’s anger?”

”Heh.” Jiu Yaoming snorted at her. ”Do you think Nalan Shizhe would dare attack me? She’s long known of my presence, but she didn’t even try to stop me. As for my affairs here, they’re none of your business.”

”Hahaha!” Yao Qilin laughed mockingly. ”What an ignorant and arrogant puny demon! Since you dare to be so arrogant in front of me, I’ll teach you a lesson.”

”You—Gah!” Jiu Yaoming was knocked back several steps by her sudden attack, but Yao Qilin right away moved in front of her, preventing her from stabilizing herself. ”Gah!”

”Gah!” Yao Qilin kicked Jiu Yaoming in the chest, sending her flying backwards. She spun around and retaliated against her, and the eyes flying around them fired several laser-like attacks at the female beast.

”Useless!” Yao Qilin waved her hand, and several bolts of dark lightning instantly countered Jiu Yaoming’s attacks, dispelling them all at once. She waved her hand once again, and some other bolts of dark lightning struck those eyes, paralyzing them. ”Without your friends and demon god, you are just a useless and weakling demon.”

After saying this, Yao Qilin moved as fast as lightning in front of Jiu Yaoming, strangled her neck, and punched her stomach.

”Gah!” Jiu Yaoming tried to attack her, but Yao Qilin’s dark lightning bolts electrocuted her first. ”Argh!”

”Is this all you have?” Yao Qilin coldly asked.

”Argh!” Yao Qilin’s dark lightning bolts electrocuted Jiu Yaoming once again, making her hair messy. Even her dress was torn in several places, exposing her scorched skin. ”Argh!”

”Heh!” Yao Qilin snorted, sealed Jiu Yaoming’s cultivation, and slammed her to the ground really hard.

”Gah!” Jiu Yaoming screamed in pain.

Yao Qilin stood by Jiu Yaoming’s side and stomped her right leg at her chest, causing her to spurt out a mouthful of blood. ”Such a weak little demon, yet you dared to be arrogant in front of me.”

”Cough... Cough...” Jiu Yaoming coughed up blood as soon as Yao Qilin removed her leg from her chest. ”If you dare to kill me, my demon god will kill you!”

”Hahaha.” Yao Qilin looked at her with disdain and disgust. ”Even if your demon god borrows the power of the nine of you, Lord Qiongqi can still kill him without blinking, so your threats are useless. Honestly, I want to kill you, but you are lucky because someone needs you, so I will spare your life this time.”

Jiu Yaoming was confused by that, but she froze and her eyes widened as soon as Zhang Fei and Nalan Wangzi appeared before them. ”You—Mhmm.”

Zhang Fei swiftly stuffed Jiu Yaoming’s mouth with a thick cloth as he squatted at her side. ’Show me her best eye abilities, Mei.’

[Alright.]

[Demon-Piercing Eye: It allows the user to see through all barriers—spatial, temporal, and illusory. No concealment or illusion technique can hide from its sight.]

[Demon-Prison Eye: The user’s gaze creates a dimension where all visible entities are trapped within an illusory reflection of themselves. Within it, the demons control what they perceive, including turning allies against each other or collapsing their sanity.]

[Thousand-Eyed Legion: Countless spectral eyes emerge from the demon’s body, each turning into an autonomous minion. They obey the master’s will and see through everything, sharing sight.]

’Shit! What will he do to me? How can I contact my demon god with my cultivation sealed by that bitch?’ Jiu Yaoming naturally wouldn’t be afraid of Zhang Fei if her cultivation wasn’t sealed, but she was in a helpless situation now, which made her afraid of him.

Zhang Fei ignored Jiu Yaoming’s expression and considered the options between her three abilities. ’Hmm? Her third ability is interesting, but I have the Demon Eye’s Orb, and I also have the familiar manipulation ability, so it’s not useful. Her second ability is almost the same as my illusion manipulation ability, so I don’t need it. Her first ability is the most useful for me because I can see through many things, especially barriers.’

[Ding]

[You succeeded in mimicking the Demon-Piercing Eye of an Eye Demon named Jiu Yaoming.]

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei laughed with satisfaction after the notification appeared.

”What are you laughing at, brother-in-law?”

”What are you laughing at, master?”

Both Yao Qilin and Nalan Wangzi asked Zhang Fei, but the way the female beast addressed him shocked Jiu Yaoming. ’Master? Why does this bitch address him as her master? Doesn’t this mean that she deliberately trapped me from the start?’

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei laughed again as he looked at the two women. ”This eye demon has excellent eye abilities, but unfortunately, I could only mimic one of them, so I mimicked her Demon-Piercing Eye. All the natural formations in this forest are troublesome, and it took us several days to get here, but her eye ability helped her get here so quickly.”

Zhang Fei’s explanation shocked Jiu Yaoming once again, and she shouted at him as soon as he removed the cloth from her mouth. ”Bullshit! I’ve never heard of a demon that can mimic the abilities of another demon!”

”Just because you haven’t met a demon who could do it before, that doesn’t mean that I can’t do it, right?” Zhang Fei opened his palm and used his light element, frightening Jiu Yaoming. ”Have you ever met a demon who can use the light element before?”

”You—” Jiu Yaoming swallowed her words back as soon as Zhang Fei pulled her soul out of her body forcefully, but she was even more shocked when he duplicated her soul and merged it with his. He smiled faintly, returned her soul to her body, and touched her head. ”What... what are you going to do to me? My demon god will definitely kill you!”

”Do you think your demon god will know about all this if I change your memories a little?” Jiu Yaoming wanted to shout at Zhang Fei, but her expression changed instantly when he used his memory manipulation on her. He didn’t change her memories completely, but he removed her memories about their meeting, and he added some new memories to make her loyal to him. ”Hehe! From now on, you know who your master is, right?”

”You are my master.” Jiu Yaoming respectfully replied.

”That’s good!” Zhang Fei directly asked Yao Qilin to unseal the seal on Jiu Yaoming’s cultivation. ”For now, I want you to continue to stay by Jiu Mozi’s side and follow his orders, and you must report to me everything he plans, especially for me. Do you understand?”

”Yes, Master.” Jiu Yaoming rose to her feet. ”Should I go now, master?”

”Stay here first and help me handle the lotus.” Zhang Fei gave Jiu Yaoming some pills, which she immediately swallowed. ”Four petals are open now, so five are left.”
