Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1277: The Heart Of The Forest

Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui have been in the Endless Domain for two days now, but they kept wandering around in circles, struggling to find a way out of the illusion that trapped them.

”Tch! This domain always makes things difficult for everyone.” Shang Luohu spoke with annoyance before turning to Shang Zhui. ”Have you managed to locate the source of this illusion?”

Shang Zhui shook his head slightly. ”There are too many illusions in this domain, and this misleading formation is one of the most troublesome; therefore, we have no choice but to move forward while examining our surroundings for now.”

”Unfortunately, there are no array masters in our asura demon race; otherwise, I would have brought one here.” Shang Luohu helplessly spoke as she started walking forward again.

Shang smiled at that. ”Since the time of our ancestors, our Asura demon races have always focused on raw physical strength and war, and no one has been interested in studying other cultivation paths.”

”Yeah.” Shang Luohu nodded in agreement. ”Actually, humans, beasts, and natural races are much better than our demon races. Many of them don’t focus on a single cultivation path, and some of them pursue multiple cultivation paths simultaneously, such as Zhang Xiaolong. Currently, our asura demon race is superior to many of them, but we don’t know what will happen in the future. We don’t need to discuss beast races because many of them are stronger than us, but I’m afraid that the human and natural races will surpass us one day if we continue to like this.”

”Unfortunately, changing something that has been ingrained in us since the time of our ancestors is not easy.” Shang Luohu nodded to Shang Zhui. ”Furthermore, my emperor has no desire to change the situation of our Asura Demon Race, and his only goal is to surpass Mo Shentian, making him not care about other things. If we want our race to change, we must choose a new leader who cares more about other things, but that is not an easy thing either.”

Shang Luohu let out a soft sigh. ”Has my husband told you about the new demon god candidates from our race?”

”Not yet.” Shang Zhui replied with a shake of his head. ”Currently, there are three of our younger generation who have the ability to be his successor, but they are not yet ready to succeed him, and they still need hundreds, if not thousands, of years to reach his level. Thus, I think it’s still too early to think about this, and we have to discuss everything again after they reach his level.”

”You’re right.” Shang Luohu turned to him. ”What about your son? Is he worthy of being one of the successor candidates?”

”Haha.” Shang Zhui responded with a wry laugh. ”In the past, my son was chosen as one of the candidates for our future leader, but his decision to run away with Ye Zhiye changed everything. His cultivation and demon rank lag behind those three, so he must catch up to them first to prove his worth. If he cannot catch up and surpass them, then he is not worthy of being one of the candidates.”

Although Shang Luohu was his empress, Shang Zhui did not intend to reveal certain details about Tian Shuixiang, particularly his status as an alchemy god. He was familiar with the personalities of their race members, and he knew that the other three candidates would target his son.

Shang Luohu nodded slightly. ”Your son may be far behind those three now, but I am confident that he will catch up or even surpass them. Moreover, Ye Zhiye is his wife, and their relationship might help us repair our relationship with Ye Mingran and her Eternal Night Demon Race.”

”I hope the same.”

Thereafter, Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui moved faster to find a way out of the illusion that trapped them, but they were unaware that two people were watching them from a great distance.

”Hey! Aren’t they Shang Luohu and Shang zhui, Xie Yao? What are they doing in our domain?” A woman with a smooth, pale, playful face asked the man beside her, looking at a crystal ball.

The woman has wide eyes with two pink pupils, long lashes shadow her gaze, a sharp nose, and a pair of thick lips form a seductive smile. She has a pair of curved horns on the sides of her head and two small, pink wings behind her back. Her pink hair flowed down her back. Her figure was tall and curvaceous, her breasts were massive, her curves were perfectly refined, and her long legs were slender and smooth.

In contrast, Xie Yao has dark silver hair left to flow freely, two sharp horns pointing upwards, and two dark silver wings. His face was sharp and serious with two silver eyes and a sharp nose, and his figure was really tall. ”They are indeed Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui, Xie Yan. It’s unusual for Shang Zhanluo to let his wife go to another domain accompanied by only one guardian, let alone to our domain.”

”Hehehe.” Xie Yan giggled as she floated behind Xie Yao and hugged him from behind. ”Isn’t this a great opportunity? Shall we bring Shang Luohu here to have some fun? Asura demons are known to have strong physiques, so I’m sure he’s strong enough to serve both of us at once.”

Xie Yao shook his head slightly and moved her to his lap. ”Naturally, I want to try having fun with Shang Luohu, but I’m not that crazy yet. Although all the illusions in this domain can protect us from other races, Shang Zhanluo is different from them, and his strength is far too great for us. If he finds out we did something to his wife, I’m sure he’ll bring the other four guardians here, and they will destroy this domain with their superior strength to kill us.”

”That’s true.” Xie Yan nodded in agreement. ”However, I’m curious about their reason for coming here, and they seem eager to meet us.”

Xie Yao narrowed his eyes, observing Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui’s movements. ”Let them work hard to break out of those illusions first, and we’ll meet them when they make it to this valley.”

”Alright! Forget them and have fun again.”

”Hahaha!”

Time passed quickly, and it took them another three days to reach the heart of the Wailing Soul Forest. Zhang Fei actually asked Bing Xingying’s real body to take them to that place, but she couldn’t do that, forcing them to walk.

Over the past few days, Zhang Fei absorbed the wandering evil souls in the forest, and he also allowed the demon extermination sword to absorb them. Nalan Yushu was the same as her husband, but he didn’t do it alone, and Nalan Huanzi always helped her.

Nalan Wangzi didn’t absorb the wandering evil souls, but he let Hun Jian control his soul-eater sword to eat them. Meanwhile, Nalan Shizhe solely focused on protecting them, as the evil souls continued to grow stronger the deeper they went.

When they arrived at their destination, Zhang Fei was disappointed that the Nine-Petal Phantom Soul Lotus wasn’t there. Even so, he found thousands of Phantom Soul Lotuses in that place, giving him a slight sense of satisfaction.

”I guess we’re not lucky, husband.” Nalan Yushu hugged Zhang Fei’s arm.

”Phew.” Zhang Fei exhaled heavily. ”Although we didn’t manage to find the Nine-Petal Phantom Soul Lotus, there are a lot of these Phantom Soul Lotuses, and I can use them to strengthen all the demons by my side.”

”Brother-in-law, you should bring them here instead of picking them, as the effects will be much better if they consume these lotuses immediately after picking them.” Nalan Wangzi spoke.

”Wangzi is right, Zhang Fei.” Nalan Shizhe agreed with his eldest daughter. ”The effects of the Phantom Soul Lotus will be significantly reduced if you waste time consuming it, so you should bring your women here, and I will protect them from these wandering evil souls.”

”Mei, are there any items that can be used to create protection in this place?”

[Master, there are some items available for that purpose, but you currently lack enough golden jewels to purchase them, as their prices are exorbitant. If you use items below that grade, those wandering evil souls will destroy them instantly. Moreover, Nalan Shizhe is powerful enough to protect them, so you don’t need to waste jewels on that. If you are not confident in her strength to protect them all, you can bring Chi Yan and the others out of the beast space to protect them.]

Nalan Yushu asked him, ”What are you waiting for, husband?”

”Alright, I’ll bring them here now.” Zhang Fei immediately opened the portal to the training space.

Soon, the sight of so many women walking out of the training area astonished Nalan Shizhe and Nalan Huanzi.

From his main harem, Zhang Fei only summoned Zhang Lingxue, Ru Xue, Zhang Lin, Feng Yichen, Janette, Ling Long, Ling Xiannu, Tian Gongzhu, and Tian Jianxia because they were the only ones who had the darkness element. All the wives of his five clones, who were possessors of the darkness element, also joined them.

Zhang Fei also summoned all of his allies with the darkness element, such as Tang Ying, Qian Ying, Ju Yingzhi, Xin Yanluo, and many others. He decided to summon Tianguo and all the evil beasts out of the beast space, which shocked Nalan Shizhe and Nalan Huanzi further.
