Chapter 518: 501 Insider TradingChapter 518: Chapter 501 Insider Trading

Mu Ying confirmed that she was looking at her own attribute panel as she spoke.

[Attributes: Strength 8 (+2), Constitution 13 (+1), Agility 15 (+3), Intelligence 12 (+1), Perception 19 (+1), Charm 15 (+1)]

Initially, her attributes were: Strength 8, Constitution 10, Agility 11, Intelligence 12, Perception 14, Charm 11.

Among these, Charm could be said to be the least important attribute for her; given any other choice, she would not prioritize increasing her Charm Attribute.

She had chosen options to increase other attributes instead of Charm, both when selecting the Half-Elf and later the Pure-blooded Elf Bloodline.

But now, the increase in her Charm Attribute was almost on par with that of her second-best attribute, Agility; and most of that was thanks to the Green Witch Bloodline.

Vinica made up her mind completely, “I want to trade for the Witch Bloodline and the cultivation manual! About how much Source Power will it cost?”

“One Witch Bloodline trades for 400,000 Source Power, the complete set of essential magic cultivation manuals, including the Witch’s Book, wand materials, and Broom Grass, is another 100,000 Source Power, for a total of 500,000 Source Power,” Mu Ying said.

Vinica, who hadn’t even saved up five thousand Source Power, gasped, “That’s so expensive!”

“The main reason is that I have to spend a considerable amount of Source Power myself to obtain a Witch Bloodline in the Trial World, plus the conversion expenses, hence the high price. Although the other cultivation materials are numerous, the main costs are the money in the Trial World and the Trial Time it took me to obtain these items, summing up to this price.”

Mu Ying felt her price was already quite fair. She did not make any profit from selling the Witch Bloodline at 400,000 Source Power; she made a slight profit from the cultivation manuals, Witch’s Book, wand materials, and Broom Grass, but not much, almost negligible.

“This price is for members of our trading conference only, and it’s meant for those who are buying for their personal use with only one chance to purchase. If it’s for someone else, the price from my side would conservatively be estimated at 1 million Source Power.”

After all, she couldn’t always sell resources from her Trial World without making any profit; she needed to earn Source Power through trading opportunities in order to exchange for the things she wanted in the Trial World. She couldn’t just wait for decades or centuries, relying on the villagers in Square World to mine and earn, could she?

“I’ll reserve one Witch Bloodline for now and trade with you once I’ve saved up enough Source Power,” Vinica said. In fact, she was not amazed by the figure of 500,000 Source Power because she thought it was too expensive for a Witch Bloodline; on the contrary, she felt it was rather cheap.

Mu Ying agreed, “Actually, you guys are the same, trading at the cost price of Source Power is an internal benefit of our trade conference, but we can’t always give up the profits in it. Each person’s unique initial Trial World is a precious resource in itself, so there’s a discount for direct personal purchases, while proxy purchases are up to everyone to price.”

The others nodded in agreement, this was indeed fair.

Especially Edwin, even if he could exchange Source Power through Mu Ying, the pricing by the trading conference rules would be based on the conversion costs from actual items, allowing for a small additional charge for gathering expenses; but with this method, he could barely make any profit.

He too was counting on trading to earn Source Power to buy himself more permanent roles, enriching his combat methods in the real world!

Li Luoxia and Chisima Keiko were still hesitating whether to give up the attribute bonuses of the human Race to choose the Witch Bloodline.

For their Professions, Charm didn’t offer much benefit, so the human Race attribute bonuses they’d lose were practically a total loss.

“You don’t need to rush your decision now, Multiverse City is so vast; surely there are places selling similar witch-related items. If this doesn’t suit you, there will always be something better. If I see something later on, I’ll let you know. For now, you should just focus on exploring your initial Trial World and saving up as much Source Power as possible. Then, you’ll be able to buy whatever you want later, even if you haven’t unlocked the Third Trial World yet, I can help you make the purchase,” Mu Ying consoled.

“Oh, right!” Chisima Keiko suddenly realized that indeed, this wasn’t their only option.

Never mind anything else, the first step was to save up 500,000 Source Power. Buying from others would only be more expensive than purchasing internally from the trading conference. With Source Power in hand, everything was possible.

It wasn’t like before when there was Source Power but nowhere to spend it.

“I used to think that bricklaying in the Trial World was pointless, but now I suddenly think it’s not bad at all; I’m not moving bricks, I’m moving ‘money’!”

Chisima Keiko suddenly started to treasure her straightforward and slightly brute-force Trial World.

Li Luoxia had new concerns, “Sigh! I don’t dare to liberally earn Source Power in my First Trial World. Even though roles can be resurrected, it’s not without a cost. The more frequently one dies, the harder it gets to earn Source Power.”

“Think of it from another angle, you can use the Source Power earned from the exchange to compensate for the increased difficulty of earning Source Power after each death! As long as you can save up a total of 55,000 Source Power to ensure the unlocking of three Trial Worlds, you don’t need to worry too much about it,” Vinica said.

“Right! To achieve Source Power freedom, we can’t rely solely on the Source Power output of our own Trial Worlds; it’s better to earn more through trading. I see here it mentions that there are stalls and shops for rent or even purchase inside Multiverse City. What do you think about us pooling the special products of our Trial Worlds, and Mu Ying, you could sell them at a stall? Everyone could share the rental cost of the stall, saving us a large sum of money!”

Edwin was just focused on earning Source Power to buy permanent roles.

“That’s a great idea, and it indeed saves Source Power, but to make that happen, we’ll have to wait until you’ve also unlocked the Third Trial World. Multiverse City is also in a virtual Trial World, where actual items from the real world can’t be brought in. Only items originating from the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial can be traded there. After the trade is completed, items will automatically be converted into physical form and appear in the real world,” Mu Ying explained.

The Ten Thousand Worlds Trial could only convert items from the Trial Worlds into actual items compliant with the Laws of the real world; this process couldn’t be reversed.

So, she couldn’t sell on their behalf. It was only possible when everyone gathered in Multiverse City, rented a stall together, and listed their items for sale.

“Ah?” Edwin was a bit disappointed; his path to earning Source Power seemed very long indeed.

Next, they traded amongst themselves according to their needs.

Mu Ying bought an Inscriptions Plate and a set of thirty First-level Runes from Edwin, equipping them to further strengthen her combat ability, spending a total of 3,500 Source Power, which she transferred to him directly.
