Chapter 512: 495: Trial CenterChapter 512: Chapter 495: Trial Center

“Multiverse City? Trial Center?”

Mu Ying felt this girl must indeed be a kind-hearted person who wouldn’t lie. According to what she said, the Trial Center should provide the answers. Following her guidance, Mu Ying proceeded straight down the path.

The girl called this place Multiverse City, but such a “city” seemed far too expansive. Mu Ying walked along the straight avenue for quite a while without seeing its end.

Estimating that the size of this “city” far exceeded her expectations, Mu Ying broke into a run. She ran day and night before finally reaching the end of the road, a large circular plaza with a peculiar building surrounded by nine colorful, ring-shaped ribbons of light.

Trialists in strange costumes came and went, and it was the liveliest place Mu Ying had seen on her journey.

“Trial Center,” Mu Ying read the four resplendent characters etched on the building and knew she had found the right place.

She walked inside.

The bustling hall she had imagined didn’t exist; upon entry, she was in a separate space. All the people who had entered before her had vanished without a trace, leaving her alone.

The entire space was shrouded in gray, except for a giant screen covering the whole wall straight ahead, leaving nothing else visible.

[Welcome to Ten Thousand Worlds Trial Multiverse City, trialist information registering...]

[Registration successful. You have been granted the use of Multiverse City Trial Center Reception Room DYSL1. You may access trialist information, accept Trial World tasks, and purchase items from this world in the Reception Room. Please explore to your heart’s content.]

Two blocks of text appeared on the screen; after they disappeared, the entire screen resembled a computer desktop with only three icons left: “Information,” “Tasks,” “Marketplace.”

Mu Ying first clicked on Information.

[Trialist: Mu Ying]

[Affiliation: Multiverse Deep Blue Star]

[Reception Room Number: DYSL1]

[Character Image Possessed: Real Image]

[Source Power: 87310/95233]

[Initial Trial Worlds: Square World (Five Stars, Source Power Material Type), Emerald World (Level 9, Physical Source Power Type), World of Gods (Level 9, Dual High Type)]

[Special Trial World: Ten Thousand Worlds Trial]

[Trial World Entry Ticket: None]

This was similar to the information on the trial interface in the Player Manual, but it had additional details unique to this world, making it more comprehensive.

The second icon, “Tasks,” was where one could accept trial tasks.

Upon entering, there was a lucky wheel to spin.

The instructions indicated that investing Source Power could win Trial World Entry Tickets, which then allow entry to complete tasks.

These Entry Tickets all had a time limit for the trial, unlike the initial Trial Worlds that allowed unlimited entries.

Different categories of wheels presented different Trial Worlds.

The distinction between Trial Worlds on the wheel was mainly based on compatibility and type.

Compatibility ranged from one star to nine stars, and this measure could change, differing for every trialist.

Types included Source Power Material Type, Physical Source Power Type, Dual High Type, and Dual Low Type.

The Source Power Material Type meant that it was easier to obtain Source Power in that world, but the value of physical transformation was not high.

The Physical Source Power Type was the opposite, indicating that the physical transformation value was quite good in that world, but it was difficult to acquire Source Power.

The Dual High Type meant that it was easy to mine Source Power and the physical transformation value was also notable.

The Dual Low Type meant that both Source Power acquisition and physical transformation were rather mediocre.

Having read this, Mu Ying finally understood the meaning of the notes beside each Trial World on the information interface.

The lowest category was unsurprisingly the Level 1 wheel, which cost 10,000 Source Power per spin.

By section, there was a ten percent chance to land a three-star compatible world, a twenty percent chance for a two-star world, a thirty percent chance for a one-star world, another thirty percent for a “thank you for your participation,” with only a five percent chance for a four-star world, four percent for a five-star world, and one percent for a Level 6 world.

Approximately two-thirds of these worlds were Dual Low Type, nearly one-third were Physical Source Power Type, there was only one Source Power Material Type, and none were Dual High Type.

The Trial World Entry Tickets garnered from 10,000 Source Power spins couldn’t even compare to her three initial Trial Worlds.

To have even a chance at landing a nine-star compatible world, one would need to use a Level 4 wheel, and each higher level required ten times more Source Power.

The Level 4 wheel cost 10,000,000, and the probability of getting a nine-star compatible world was still only one percent.

It demonstrated just how precious the initial Trial Worlds opportunities were! Both her Emerald World and the later World of Gods were nine-star compatible worlds!

And the World of Gods was of the Dual High Type.

Mu Ying felt her decision to insist on perfect exploration to earn better starts for the next worlds was indeed wise.

Each of the two nine-star compatible initial Trial Worlds was worth over ten million Source Power.

Moreover, the initial Trial Worlds were not time-limited, whereas the Entry Tickets from the wheel allowed only a limited time inside a Trial World.

With the wheel’s high cost, Mu Ying was in no hurry to try it.

She thought her Trial Time was already stretched thin in her three initial Trial Worlds, and she hadn’t even started on the Third Trial World. It was completely unnecessary to spend so much Source Power to acquire additional Trial World Entry Tickets at the moment.

Why not earn Source Power wherever she could? With the high quality of her initial Trial Worlds, it made sense to fully explore them first.

Spending Source Power to spin the wheel could end in drawing a low-compatibility world, possibly incurring a loss!

Plus, considering the pricing, probably no one could afford to casually spin for Entry Tickets.

This suggested that after the three initial Trial Worlds, entering new Trial Worlds would come at a great cost, making the trials themselves very precious.

If someone continuously drew low-compatibility worlds with mediocre Source Power output or physical conversion value, they would lose substantial Source Power and potentially be unable to afford another spin on the lucky wheel for a long time.

After closing the Task interface, Mu Ying clicked on the last icon, “Marketplace.”

She had assumed it was an online trading platform for trialists; after all, she had seen many stalls and shops along her way, making it seem like a trade market.

It was only after opening the “Marketplace” that she realized this was not the case.

This wasn’t just any trialist trading platform but the trade portal for Ten Thousand Worlds Trial or this particular world.

There weren’t many types of goods, and the selection seemed sparse.

It only featured a few categories of goods: Ten Thousand Worlds Trial Manual, city maps, stall rental/purchase tokens, shop rental/purchase tokens, Trial World Entry Tickets, and character images.
