I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 514: 497 ManualChapter 514: Chapter 497 Manual

The collective average score is the standard for judging the allocation of Trialist slots to various universes for the next hundred years, and those universes with better scores naturally receive more resources.

If an individual scores well, not only can they receive some precious rewards, but their respective universe and even their Life Planet can gain some additional rewards.

If they had previously achieved good results in a competition, they might also gain Trialist slots that they can allocate themselves.

Mu Ying, Edwin, and Chisima Keiko became Trialists through this method.

Their recommenders must have been Trialists who had achieved good results in previous competitions.

Such individuals are extremely rare; the fact that Deep Blue Star had three such individuals at once really drew attention in the Multiverse.

After receiving the Trialist slots for this century, most universes would distribute them according to the performance of the Trialists from various Life Planets in the competition.

If a universe wants to support a certain world, it would also allocate some guaranteed slots to them.

For instance, in the Multiverse, every Life Planet is guaranteed at least one slot every hundred years, and newly discovered Life Planets might receive even more support.

Besides, each Life Planet that enters the regulation of Ten Thousand Worlds Trial initially generates 1-5 slots.

The more initial slots there are, the greater the potential of the world.

Mu Ying didn’t know if the five Trialist slots allocated last time by Deep Blue Star were initial slots, or if they also included subsidies from the Multiverse.

If it’s the former, that would match what Furris told her, that Deep Blue Star is a world with great developmental potential.

Mu Ying was indeed very interested in this competition, a grand event where all Trialists could participate; just thinking about the scene was spectacular, but the next event was still a long way off, and for now, she would not get to witness it.

However, one thing was certain: in the competition, the individual strength of the Trialists was one of the key factors for victory.

All the preparations before the competition were advantages in the competition.

If one hopes to achieve good results, they must exert all efforts and arm themselves beforehand.

This is also closely related to the interests of the Trialists themselves.

Therefore, just as she had previously thought, the priority was to become stronger as quickly as possible.

Lastly, her previous speculation that a Trial character’s death in the initial Trial World might mean they could no longer enter that Trial World was also confirmed in the manual.

According to the manual, everyone’s first Trial World is a Five Stars fit.

And the acquisition of Source Power, the conversion of real items, and the difficulty of the trial are relatively balanced.

The easier it is to acquire Source Power, the greater the value of real item conversion, and correspondingly, the higher the trial difficulty.

And they all belong to worlds with simple, rigid operational rules, vastly different from reality.

This means that the starting point for each Trialist is more or less the same.

But starting with the Second Trial World, the fit and type become closely related to the exploration of the previous world.

In this, only the First Trial World, because of its simplistic operational rules, mostly lacks the concept of lifespan for trial characters; they do not naturally age and die, only a few die from injuries, and many are immortal.

This situation was extremely rare in subsequent Trial Worlds, and was almost impossible to occur, as the rules in those worlds tended to be complete and could even deceive one into believing they were real.

Therefore, the Trial Worlds that most trialists truly owned permanently were actually just the First Trial World.

In the Second and Third Trial Worlds, one might lose the chance to re-enter these worlds forever due to lifespan or accidents causing character death, the duration of which varied.

Only an extremely small probability existed for sustaining one’s character’s life in the Trial Worlds and maintaining a connection with these worlds.

Mu Ying, who had gathered fragments in the Emerald World and obtained the World Book to somewhat control this world, was an instance of such a scenario.

Thus, it seems the First Trial World is indeed very crucial, serving as a fundamental resource exclusively held in the hands of all trialists.

After finishing the manual, Mu Ying quickly left that world. Time indeed could not be wasted, no wonder the players she saw earlier were all in such a hurry!

When she came out, it was already early morning, just a couple of hours until dawn, though a whole day had already passed in between.

She had missed an entire day of Elf classes and stood everyone up; she hadn’t attended the routine nightly gathering of trialists either.

As soon as she opened the Territory Internal Network, her private and group chats were flooded with new messages.

There were messages from Furris and others, but also from Li Luoxia and Vinica looking for her.

From the messages sent by Furris and the others, it seemed they had come to her house, knew she was in deep sleep, and figured she had entered a Trial World; they just asked her to report back when she woke up.

The trialists’ group chat was exploding; there were loads of messages, all expressing concern for her.

Since she wasn’t one to miss without notice and would usually let them know ahead of time, her sudden absence surely meant that something unplanned had happened.

Liu Luoluo later asked Furris and found out she was undergoing a trial.

Though Mu Ying had previously had steady scheduling of her Trial Times, this sudden session definitely meant some unexpected event had occurred.

Some guessed she was at a critical juncture of concluding the Second Trial World, aiming to secure a flawless exploration; others speculated she went to the Third Trial World for the first time and misjudged the time difference, causing the delay.

Their guesses were quite close to the truth.

Mu Ying first responded to everyone who had private messaged her, reporting her safety, then posted a message in the Trial Takers Trading Fair group.

Mu Ying, “I have already entered the Third Trial World. I have news to share with you, let’s meet tomorrow morning at ten, Living Room, First Floor, Tree House No. 888!”

At this hour, they would all be resting, so no immediate responses came.

But the Elves responded quickly to her message; they hadn’t slept and were holding a concert in the forest!

Since there was nothing else for her to do at the moment, she sent a private message to Furris saying she would come over early.

Mu Ying planned to inquire from Furris about the Multiverse City and the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial Universe Competition.

The manual described it rather broadly and lacked specific details.

Elves are a long-lived race with a lengthy history, having experienced many such competitions; surely, they had more intelligence.

She increasingly felt that this world was becoming ever larger; beyond Deep Blue Star, there was the vast Multiverse, and even beyond that, Universes where more civilizations existed, making one feel small involuntarily, and filling one with curiosity and the desire to explore this vast world.
