I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 501: 484: New Member InductionChapter 501: Chapter 484: New Member Induction

After Chisima Keiko, the tall man beside her spoke: “I am Maz.”

With black hair tinged with white, he appeared unkempt and somewhat dull, donning a pair of round frame glasses without lenses, and his pale skin was covered by a nicely made deep blue mage robe with a toughened surface.

As for the last person, had he not uttered the word “Atom,” everyone might not have noticed this third individual for a while.

Interestingly, the more they looked at him, the more curious they became. Atom was of average height, neither tall nor short, and he was neither fat nor thin. He wasn’t particularly handsome, but not ugly either.

It was peculiar: whenever people shifted their gaze away from him, they would instantly forget what he looked like, as his presence was remarkably unmemorable.

“A natural-born Wanderer indeed!” Edwin exclaimed. “No wonder no one in Southern Australia knows of your whereabouts!”

Atom nodded slightly without speaking; simply announcing his own name was already a challenge for him.

Maz examined the five people across from him, matching them with the information he had received.

There was a brief lull in the conversation.

“Welcome, everyone. Now that all the Deep Blue Star trialists are here, let’s sit down and chat leisurely!” Mu Ying quickly said.

“Yes, yes, do have a seat,” Edwin said awkwardly.

After everyone sat down on the sofas, the five of them introduced themselves to the newcomers one by one.

The Trial Takers Trading Fair is mainly an organization for us, the Deep Blue Star trialists, to trade fairly and share information amongst ourselves. Here is an introduction to our trading fair, as well as the rules you will need to abide by after joining and the benefits entitled to you. You may take a look first. If you are satisfied, by signing the trade agreement, you will officially join.”

Once joined, you can access for free the shared information we have compiled about the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial regulations. In addition, you will get a Dingling Flower for convenient contact and a complimentary resting room.”

Mu Ying handed out previously prepared trading fair materials and trade agreements to the newcomers, including Vinica.

Vinica had already expressed a clear intention to join and had even reserved a resting room beforehand. The information was almost the same as what she had heard in the group previously; the only thing pending was signing the trade agreement.

She quickly signed her name on the trade agreement.

The other three were learning about the trading fair for the first time. After reading the materials carefully and finding no excessive terms, the contract seemed fair, so they decided to join one after another.

Once the contract took effect, Mu Ying, Li Luoxia, Edwin, and Draco, the four senior members, all breathed a sigh of relief. It was a good start.

“Let’s add each other as friends and I’ll invite you into our group chat!” Edwin said enthusiastically.

Maz, Chisima Keiko, and Atom weren’t exactly new to Qingshan City; they had gathered much information beforehand since they had planned to come to this meeting.

They had even visited Tree House number 888 before.

Now that they had already logged into the Territory Internal Network of Qingshan City, they quickly added each other as friends and joined the group chat of the trading fair.

Mu Ying then shared the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial regulations and the Dingling Flower with the new members, “You can check it out now. If there’s anything you don’t understand, feel free to ask us!”

This document, while not even filling a single piece of parchment, was brimming with essential information.

It detailed two methods of opening new Trial Worlds, types and tendencies of Trial Worlds, and changes after opening three Trial Worlds.

Almost all of this information was gathered by Mu Ying herself, given her progress in the trials far surpassed the others, and her guide, Shom, had constantly been in her territory, answering many of her questions.

“5000 Source Power to open a new Trial World? Is this conjecture, or has someone already verified this?” Maz asked upon reading the first piece of information, seeking to confirm its authenticity since the news was essential to him.

His First Trial World hardly provided any significant benefits to him in the real world, and after some attempts, he scarcely participated in the trials. Having not even used up his free Trial Time, he had accumulated a substantial amount.

After all, compared to the benefits of the trials which were of little to no use to him, the real world held fascinating spells waiting for his research and study; time was never enough. Naturally, he progressively abandoned the trials.

If he had the chance to open a Second Trial World, maybe he’d reconsider. After all, earning Source Power in his First Trial World was simple.

“It was conjecture before, but now it has been proven. I’ve opened my Second Trial World in exactly this way, just as Mu Ying described. The Second Trial World is extremely realistic and indistinguishable from a virtual one, with even more abundant resources. However, the random character you get using this method may not be the best. I’m still exploring,” Draco said.

He didn’t elaborate on what his Second Trial World was like—Mu Ying had already explained that the general rules of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial were shared amongst everyone, but the details of each individual’s initial Trial World could be exchanged if chosen. They could also trade information.

He planned to talk with Mu Ying later on for advice and confirmation. Mu Ying had mentioned she was open to discussing details of Trial Worlds and offering suggestions.

Maz also belonged to those who couldn’t make heads or tails of their Trial Worlds, clueless about how to achieve a 100% exploration rate. Hearing that Draco had given it a try, he also decided to set aside some time to accumulate Source Power to open his Second Trial World.

Atom and Chisima Keiko remained silent, absorbed in reading the information.

Vinica glanced at the section concerning the Third Trial World, “Each trialist only gets three initial Trial Worlds?”

“Right. These three Trial Worlds are crucial for trialists. In fact, unless you’re in a rush or there’s absolutely no clue or hope, it’s usually better to completely explore the current world before unlocking the next. This way, the compatibility with your trial character is higher, enabling you to unlock more value of the Trial World and reap greater benefits. After all, moving forward, trialists will be able to trade Source Power with each other. The resources from the initial Trial Worlds are the foundation of such trades,” Mu Ying explained.

“But it’s too difficult. I just can’t find the direction. The point about 5000 Source Power seems a bit more hopeful,” Chisima Keiko said.

“It is indeed tough. We’re all planning to accumulate 5000 Source Power before opening our Second Trial Worlds. The First Trial Worlds are too rigid and restrictive,” Li Luoxia sighed.

Who wouldn’t want a perfect exploration and a perfect start?

Although Mu Ying hadn’t gone into detail about her exploration process in her First Trial World, everyone knew the difficulty was quite similar. She had a deep understanding of the challenge of her trials, treading very cautiously and calculating many times before making a move, fearing she might inadvertently walk into a dead end.
