My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 2996 -998: Spread Love, Not Hatred

The city of the Half-body Man suffered a great ordeal tonight.

First, the Daguan Fishmen’s attack destroyed the Port District, then the prototype number 11 released by Old Bach almost slaughtered the entire city. After that, there were mechanical rebellions and the siege by the Wolf People. Even one of these events would be enough for the Half-body Man to handle, but almost all the bad things erupted in the same night.

Surviving until now is truly a blessing earned by the Half-body Man from hundreds of years of adhering to peace and accumulating virtue and blessings.

However long the night, it will eventually welcome the dawn. After an awe-inspiring solar bombardment ended, the immediate threats faced by the Half-body Man’s city finally completely dissipated.

The Steam Lords, upon confirming the battle situation at the front lines, almost immediately issued the “Proclamation to Charldo Harbor” to announce the victory to the long-frightened people, thereby calming their hearts. The enthusiasm and joy of survivors among the Half-body Man, once confirmed they survived the chaotic war, turned the damaged city under today’s sunlight into a sea of happiness.

There were cheers everywhere in the sanctuary.

Even under the burning buildings in the fire, crowds were celebrating, and some officials spontaneously brought gifts to the front lines to console the troops. Moreover, some eager to return home have already started cleaning and repairing various parts of the city.

The Half-body Man inherently belongs to a race with a strong sense of community and order. Their rapid adjustment and obedience to commands during the disaster made Governor Murphy feel ashamed. Compared to these small individuals who have already started accepting tasks to rebuild the city, his Transia people, apart from being brave and fearless, almost have no merits at all. Milian’s civil servants should really come to Charldo Harbor to see how a truly effective management system operates.

Of course, bringing up these topics at a time when everyone is happy is asking for trouble, so Murphy very decisively hid back in the embassy after leaving the battlefield.

He even turned down the invitation from the Steam Lords to attend the leaders’ meeting of various forces, transferring this task instead to Professor Malcolm. Milian is already waiting at Crimson Castle and will probably arrive by noon to represent Transylvania to negotiate among the various factions in Charldo Harbor.

Murphy himself does not plan to be involved in the discussions at this stage, as there are no small players attending, and performing over there would not yield better benefits for him.

Moreover, Murphy indeed has a lot of urgent matters waiting to be dealt with.

The foremost is to discuss with Triss and Mosna how to handle prototype number 11, Penny.

The Creator’s Mechanism, dazzling in appearance, now quietly stays in a room at the embassy, together with the Shadow Elf Vampire Bertie, with whom she feels a sense of kinship. Her memory has been mostly erased by Old Bach, but fortunately, her emotion module remains intact. After suppressing the cold Mechanical Mind, she can communicate effectively with others.

Murphy and Triss stood at the doorway, watching as Mosna connected a special instrument to Penny’s database for retrieval and search.

The process must be quite uncomfortable, but Penny was exceptionally well-behaved, with Bertie holding her mechanical hand beside her, providing encouragement and comfort to his lover in this way.

Bertie’s blood-red eyes were full of tenderness and a hint of undetectable worry. He doesn’t care what Penny has become or if Penny might suddenly lose control and strangle him, even though the mechanical hand he holds could easily level a building under normal force.

“The small players will love her.”

The weary Triss, having also endured the Wrath of Darkness, leaned on Murphy, her eyes assessing Penny before her with the gaze of a “Dog Planner,” saying:

“This individual’s appearance and precise mechanical beauty are practically tailored to the G-spot of male players, and her tragic backstory and amnesiac character setup can also draw a tear or two from female players. Most importantly, she possesses absolute intensity beauty!

This will lure the Strength enthusiasts with that burning heavy punch into the charm of the power; she is even more suitable than Mosna to be the core guiding NPC for the next expansion pack.”

“Hmm, my Triss, your words are deserving of an annual best employee award from me,”

Murphy, with cheer in his voice, wrapped his arm around Triss’s slender waist, and said:

“And indeed, only you understand me so well, immediately guessing my next moves. We need a slight modification in the sneak peek we’re preparing for the ‘Legacy of the Creator’, incorporating Penny and Bertie as important NPCs into the storyline, and then officially introducing the faction ‘Twilight’ and the Scholar Faction through the main storyline.

The myriad events happening in Charldo Harbor can serve as a link and transition between the two expansions, while the Creator’s Mechanism operating unit beneath the city can be the starting main questline of the Legacy of the Creator DLC, smoothly connecting to the Sanghai Empire storyline which we are about to advance in the Origin Land. Even the ‘Creator’s Oracle’ spread by my words to the entire continent could thereby be widely disseminated, which would indeed be a fine tale.”

“You’ve thought this through well, but there’s one problem,”

Triss squinted her eyes, saying:

“The origins of these two guys… the Slave Master won’t give them up. From the fact that person was willing to travel miles to Charldo Harbor for her ‘treatment’, it shows that guy is an emotional scoundrel.
