My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 2974 -990: Hey Buddy, Your Girlfriend Is Smoking Hot (Literally)…_3

A bullet interrupted Old Bach’s recruitment. He looked at Minkus’s smoking gun and then at the blood flowing from his chest. The pain of his shattered heart rose up, causing Old Bach to sway, and he subsequently fell off his chair.

He lay on the ground and raised his hand, his eyes full of astonishment.

“I don’t know what you’re doing, but I will never collude with you!”

Minkus hurried forward, jumped onto the chair, and tried to stop the advancing progress bar in front of him. He didn’t look at his fallen mentor; he said hoarsely:

“My mentor… died two hundred years ago, you’re just a monster with his face…”

“Sigh, if Flywheel were here, maybe the persuasion would’ve succeeded. You’re just as emotional and stubborn as ever, making decisions based on feeling.”

Lying there, Old Bach coughed up blood while waiting for death to arrive.

He was unusually calm, speaking in a weak voice:

“That’s a program encrypted with Arcane Engineering. If you’re only specialized in the knowledge I left behind, you absolutely can’t unravel it. And in forty-five seconds, a heartless killing machine will be born here.

I’ve preserved all the assassination techniques taught to her by Sarifov Shadowblade, so you can truly experience her horror, and I’ve given her a steel body that can rampage across the continent.

No external assistance is needed; she alone can kill everyone in this city and, incidentally, wipe out the Bone Biting Jackal Men and the Deep-Sea Fishmen outside the city.

Minkus, I don’t know how long it takes for you to save your city, but you only have thirty-seven seconds left.

Good luck, child…”

“Bang”

A loud noise echoed in the control cabin; it was the result of Eden’s and Resurgence’s data war.

The surrounding precise computation units flashed red, representing that the main control program “Resurgence,” painstakingly awakened and reconstructed by Old Bach, had won, and the response codes for the Life Greenhouse Project were now in hand.

At the moment of regaining control of the main cabin, the super-dimensional transmission inherent in these computation units was initiated, and the hardware of the computation units around Minkus was teleported one by one back to Shadowblade’s Flyshuttle amid the apparent spatial distortion.

But even after all the remote computation units were sent away, Old Bach still lay there, with a calm gaze, as he watched Minkus exert all his effort to prevent Penny’s transformation program from taking effect.

“Twenty seconds!”

He said with regret:

“It seems you can’t unravel it.”

“Shut up!”

Minkus’s brain felt like it was going to overload.

He had just struggled to parse the underlying logic of Old Bach’s Arcane Engineering. It was something based on Old Bach’s entire life’s engineering concepts, then fused with Spiritual Energy knowledge and Creator’s Engineering, something he definitely couldn’t learn and counteract in just thirty seconds.

But not being able to learn doesn’t mean not being able to stop.

As the most outstanding mechanic among half-body men, he knew very well he didn’t need to understand the operation of the program right now; he just needed to stop it.

But he was like a newbie playing Rubik’s Cube for the first time; he needed a bit of help.

“Invoke the third protocol, pausing the seventh thread of this program can forcefully increase self-check time by fifteen seconds, meanwhile close this dialog box to return to the main interface, long-press the settings key for three seconds to summon the special command box, input Ts-006-R78S within.

That’s the Sentinel recognition code, able to forcefully pause all the programs on every device running within this control cabin!”

Just as Minkus felt his brain was going to explode, Lady Rose’s voice suddenly sounded in his ear.

He didn’t know who that was, but it was his only chance now.

Under Old Bach’s surprised gaze, Minkus did some operations that really caused the running mechanical transformation cabin to stop, the progress bar stuck at 93.54% and then frozen.

“Ha, you have magical external assistance, truly wonderful.”

Old Bach said with some disappointment, shaking his head:

“Having the Creator God as a friend is truly enviable, as if the whole world is helping you… But sorry, Minkus, I lied to you. Miss Penny’s transformation was completed seven minutes ago, meaning that no matter if you stopped this program or not, once time’s up, she’ll awaken.

Just like this…”

“Clang”

The silvery-gray mechanical cabin behind Minkus opened, the Destroyer Guardian No. 11 stored inside had the hexagonal mechanical eyes on both sides of its knight-like steel helmet light up red, and in Minkus’s desperate gaze, this steel warrior, shaped to be slightly feminine, stood up from its support frame.

Its chest exterior armor under adaptive structure opened and closed, with all metal blades on the outside performing the same actions, like a set of armor being adjusted to the most suitable fighting shape for the operator.

That was its last self-check before entering combat mode.

“Minkus, you cheated, so… you must accept punishment.”

Old Bach’s head drooped down.

In the last second before dying, he said:

“But don’t worry, child… Death is just a door, I’ll wait for you on the other side, welcome to… the new world…”

“Destroyer Guardian Type 11 Code ‘Elewen’ online, combat mode: extermination! Combat area: Charldo Harbor! Mission Goals: All living beings!”

A cold electronic voice sounded behind Minkus.

In his turning gaze, the silvery-gray killing machine had energy rings on its chest, back, shoulders, and legs lit up, and intense flames spurted from the arms of the machine, forming a dazzling red flame sleeve-sword shape.

“Engage!”

“Boom”

In the terrifying output of a heavy cannon punch, Minkus and the control platform he was on was entirely swallowed by the rolling plasma flames from the strike, but the next second, Minkus opened his eyes, prepared for death, finding himself being pulled back to the entrance of the control cabin by Murphy, with Murphy followed by an astonished Elf Vampire.

“Sorry for arriving a bit late, is the one burning in the flames the ‘Scholar’? Do I congratulate you on taking out the leader of the Twilight Organization yourself?”

Murphy said in a tone of ‘as expected’:

“I knew it wouldn’t be easy to take out these guys.”

“He… he took away those seemingly important things, said he was going to start a plan that could change the world.”

Minkus immediately said:

“Can we still stop him?”

“A bit difficult, but worth a try.”

Murphy glanced at the 9-minute self-destruct countdown above the control cabin, then turned his gaze to the destructive Mech Maiden standing in the flames, with the number 11 printed on its left shoulder armor, while its knight-like face helmet was wrapped in the shape of plasma flames.

Looks extremely cool!

“Is that your chick?”

Murphy said to the new vampire Bertie beside him, looking despairing:

“Wow, so you’re into hot girls?”

“She was turned into a monster by the Scholar! No!!!”

Bertie was in despair.

The guy collapsed on the ground, shouting to the sky, but the next second, Lady Rose’s voice rang out in Murphy and Bertie’s ears:

“Mosna told me this girl’s memory and emotional formatting isn’t completed, just a program error making her unable to awaken her emotions, just do a factory reset recovery.

Also, Murphy, thank you for providing me with this path of fate. I find this online surfing… really interesting now.”
