My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 2990 -996: Lady Rose’s Epoch-Making Divine Arts—Start Learning from C Language

With Ruyi, the “god-mode” hacker, assisting them, the Halfling players advanced faster in the mechanical halls.

When encountering those elite mechanicals who didn’t play fair, Ruyi would first unleash a wave of “virus AOE” to send the elite mobs into a state of vulnerability and downtime, and then other players would swarm in to deal with those idiots who didn’t install “antivirus software.”

Ruyi also generously shared her self-written DDoS attack virus program with other Halfling players, but unfortunately, the regular model Adventure Assistant didn’t have enough space to run the full virus program; Ruyi could only simplify her first “combat protocol.”

As a result, the virus attack power launched by other players using the Adventure Assistant was greatly reduced.

Forget about insta-killing elite mobs; at most, they could be pushed into an “data overload” vulnerable state, and the virus program was a terrible burden on the players’ own Calculating Pearl.

Using it more than three times would raise the internal temperature of the Adventure Assistant to a dangerous level.

The third-generation Calculating Pearl players were using seemed a bit too outdated to Ruyi; she felt that the performance of these gadgets severely limited the release of her hacking power, and she greatly coveted Sir Morphy’s fourth-generation Core Bead; if she had that, she could write more advanced virus programs.

Things like worms and Trojan horses, like the Panda Burning Incense.

She even came up with impressive names for her future “combat protocols,” such as “Battle Protocol Seven: Millennium Bug Offensive,” something out of a second-rate manga.

But unfortunately, treasures like the Core Bead in Sir Morphy’s hands were fewer than three even in the Halfling’s main city, and were considered the culmination of Halfling technological power at this stage.

Players would find it hard to obtain them.

“Boom!”

A giant mechanical bear blocking the door was finally drained of health under the constant DDoS attacks thrown by the Halfling players, collapsing amid a racket, symbolizing the complete opening of the data hall’s core area gate.

At this time, only six minutes were left on the twenty-minute countdown. Ruyi and the players didn’t have time to rest as they stepped over the mechanical bear’s wreck into the “Mechanical Brain” secret room behind it.

“I say, Ruyi Sister, if you can make these guys crash with data attacks, can’t you just take control of them?”

Said the leader known as Shorty, holding a Halfling-style shock gun, whispering:

“In theory, these mechanical units can also be commandeered by you for combat, right? I’ve seen hackers remotely hijack other people’s computers; should work on the same principle, right?”

“You said it’s just a theory, but if the hardware doesn’t meet standards, even with my skills, I can only stare helplessly.”

Ruyi scratched her already thinning hair and sighed,

“With the current computational efficiency of the Calculating Pearl, even a DDoS attack is the limit; more complex programs can’t be processed by this thing. Let me give you an example, your suggestion is like asking me to run Super Mario on the ENIAC.

Not possible, you get it?”

“Oh, understood.”

Shorty nodded.

He wanted to ask more, but just as a few brothers gleefully rushed into the Mechanical Brain’s secret room carrying Iron Fist Missiles, a group of Self-Destructing Spiders fell from above, detonating and throwing the Halflings back.

Ruyi screamed, thinking she was dead for sure, she was too close to the explosion, but at the critical moment, the Halfling assassin next to her pushed her away, causing her to hit a wall and only take collision damage, while Shorty got caught in the explosion, leaving no trace.

The remaining players howled, readying to roll up their sleeves for revenge, but looked up to see the “Mechanical Brain” control platform at the very front, surrounded by strange mechanical devices, with operational assembly lines nearby, urgently producing newly emerged Self-Destructing Spiders and Mechanical Beasts.

“Huh?! This is another mechanic BOSS?”

Ruyi, covered in dirt, climbed up, surveyed the environment, and shouted back to her comrades:

“You guys hold off the mobs pouring in from all sides, I’ll take care of the control panel! This is the final stride, folks, win or lose, it’s all on this endeavor, this is the Halfling’s first racial main storyline, failing would be embarrassing.”

“Go for it, Ruyi!”

Another Halfling female player, “Paimon Can’t Fly,” who entered the game at the same time as little Ruyi, grabbed her small Iron Hammer Guard, this hot-tempered girl with pink pom-poms loudly declared:

“We’ll definitely buy you enough time, it’s all up to you.”

“Mm!”

Ruyi tossed the last hard candy into her mouth, grabbed her Adventure Assistant, and charged forward, while other players set up positions in the field, ready to counter the refreshed mobs.

The Halflings’ talent wasn’t for melee combat, but their proficiency in engineering made them superior in handling firearms and explosives compared to other race players. In just a few seconds, they had several mortars set up, facing in all directions.

Explosion sounds kept echoing behind Ruyi, occasionally fragments flew by, but she was calmly chewing her hard candy, took out a black data cable, and connected her Adventure Assistant to the Mechanical Brain control panel that had been locked by Old Bach’s sabotage program, then took a deep breath, readying to unleash her signature virus attack.
