My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 2993 -997: Even the Longest Night Will Welcome the Dawn

“They’ve stopped! Those rebelling machines have shut down, quick, brothers! Now’s the time to take them out!”

In the chaotic streets of Charldo Harbor, the shout from Giant Shark marked the beginning of a new round of counterattack. But this time, as the players with beast-like fury slashed their weapons at those rebellious machines, there would be no damned exploding Iron Fist greeting them.

Due to the destruction of the Mechanical Brain, all the Calculating Pearls in Charldo Harbor stopped functioning at that moment, and without the guidance of the Calculating Pearls, those rebellious contraptions were, in essence, dead.

Just having left the Creation Zone: Calculation Unit, Murphy climbed to the surface and saw his players disassembling those messed-up machines like ravenous wolves.

It was just these contraptions that had given them such a hard time, especially for the newbies, whose lack of strength and inadequate equipment left them unable to effectively damage these contraptions with their swords.

But the good news was that Transia People’s Calculating Pearls and Dragon knights were not further affected in this Mechanical Rebellion stirred up by Old Bach, probably because Transylvania’s Calculating Pearls were all handmade by Old Flywheel.

That guy, in order to prove he was more formidable than Minkus, crafted Calculating Pearls that had different internal structures and arrangements of Spiritual Energy Factors than those original to Charldo Harbor.

Simply put, it’s like different converter plugs represent different systems, making it difficult for the same program to simultaneously breach both.

Therefore, at the fraught battlefield on the outer city walls, the Dragon knights brought by Transia People were still striking hard in the Werewolf’s siege battle.

At the mechanical city gates that had previously been manipulated open, a dozen Dragon knights used their steel bodies to form an impenetrable defense line, cooperating with reinforcements all around in a fierce battle, successfully halting the Bone Biting Jackal Men who’d stormed into the outer city. On the battlefield still entrenched in battle, there were crashed airships burning like torches lighting up this bewildered night.

Higher up on the city walls, which had been smashed into divots by the Sanghai People’s landing pods, those brave Yellow Sand Warriors, with the support of the Ranger Legion, were driving the Jackal People off the walls.

With over three hours until dawn, the fight was still ongoing, which meant Charldo Harbor had survived the hardest moments. In the coming hours, as the troops diverted to handle the Mechanical Rebellion gradually returned and as the Armas Tasha Elf Fleet’s marine detachments began landing in the Port District, the Werewolves’ chances of victory clearly diminished.

Hence, Murphy decided to stoke the flames at the final moment of this long night.

He then charged forward into the dense battlefield in his War Marshal Power Armor, switching to the firepower-enhanced component “Medusa” midway. A set of support-equipped components dropped from the high skies aboard the Origin Pioneer and, with adjustments from the flight backpack, accurately landed beside Murphy.

It was a firepower platform equipped with three gun barrels, and after connecting it, Murphy operated the Power Armor to assume an unseemly prone position on the ground, making the Power Armor serve as a support platform while the enemy-targeting program calculated the shell impact points.

Then, entering the firing program, the armed backpack quickly completed its loading, and with a thunderous blast, three silver-grey shells shot into the sky.

Those things flew at high speed over the Werewolf phalanx and then disassembled into cluster-type submunitions, with one round of shelling igniting a quarter of the battlefield ahead.

“The firepower is fierce, truly worthy of being a firepower component, but this firing posture is just strange no matter how you look at it.”

Lying on the ground, Murphy, with the three gun barrels behind him locked back into place, sarcastically remarked:

“This firing posture is full of malice no matter how you look at it. I feel like I’ve turned into a Squirtle… hmm, with three gun barrels, so it’s a Super Squirtle, right?”

“Boom”

While harshly ridiculing his own form, the second volley of support fire arrived, again pouring down iron rain that helped the Dragon knights carve out a breach for the thrust.

Lord Paryen decisively commanded his forces to launch a countercharge. Against the backdrop of gigantic Dragon knights moving and with the constant sound of cannon fire falling, the Blood Covenant Knight Order fearlessly followed their leader forward. With Lord Paryen wielding the Holy Spear as the spearhead of the charge formation, the Blood Vultures and Wolfsbane Clan on either side quickly coordinated.

Triss and Old Edward, representing the Duke, personally took the field, sweeping through in the intertwining images of lightning storms and the crazed slaughter of Blood Hunters, creating a dreamlike scene belonging solely to the vampires.

Unfortunately, the embarrassing Duke of Blood Fear was currently evading the Elf warship’s pursuit with his fleet, otherwise, this could have been a grand reunion for the Blood race clans.

In the high skies, the Origin Pioneer, which had maneuvered to the back of the battlefield, ceased its solar bombardment. Their vessel was barely repaired and, with the solar engine not yet completely restored to full capacity, the earlier firing of the mighty weapon had put the solar ship’s energy supply in a precarious situation.

Despite His Highness Prince Hu Fu’s strong desire to use the invincible solar bombardment to send all the filthy Jackal People on the ground skyward, he had to consider his flagship, for continuous energy expenditure would likely lead the ship to its second descent.

But with the good news, the ongoing comprehensive counterattack no longer required the Origin Pioneer to keep executing firepower cover.
