My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 2965 -987: The Crossing Point of Two Threads

Every midnight when I return to dreams, I see the scene where my hands are stained with blood as I hold my friend.

I once swore to follow him, but I killed him…

Was I not brave enough?

Uncle.”

“Enough!”

The black blade in Sarifov’s hand pierced toward the strange boy in front of him, amid the chilly reprimand.

At the moment the sharp blade touched him, the Lord of Slaves felt a pang in his heart. As the boy’s frightened gaze turned into a stream of light and dispersed, he looked down to see blood gushing from his own chest, as if that sword had crossed worlds to stab his former self.

“Ah, Sarifov Shadowblade…”

A hoarse voice of a woman sounded from the increasingly unsettling darkness around, and in Shadowblade’s gaze, a woman with six arms quietly emerged from the dark.

She looked at the Shadow Elves in front of her with a compassionate gaze and said:

“You, with a soul battered and a sharp blade in hand, do you not even have the courage to face yourself?”

“You…”

Sarifov looked at the projection with a shocked expression, he uttered:

“Lady Spider…”

“Call me Rose.”

The projection softly said:

“When I arrived at Charldo Harbor, I thought I would gain strength here, but it proved that destiny has always favored me. Even in restless nights, I met a lost traveler.

Child, you’ve gone too far.

It’s time to turn back.”

“Did I choose the wrong path?”

After a moment of shock, Sarifov regained composure, sheathed his black blade, and asked:

“You shaped the Shadow Elves, and I’ve always had a question. Do you think we’ve gone astray? Once, a man told me that men weren’t born to be slaves to women. To be honest, I don’t quite believe it.

After all, you know I was abandoned in childhood simply because I was a boy…”

“So after Truman’s death, did you decide to turn his indictment of Shadow Elves into your ideal?”

Lady Rose gently asked:

“Is that why you destroyed Mejewa City?”

“No, I destroyed it simply because I hated it! I hated everything about that city, just as I hated my past self.”

Sarifov retreated, attempting to leave the illusion spun by Lady Spider.

He said:

“I’m not the one who can bring change. The man who could change the Shadow Elves Society was killed by my own hands. I’m just a poor imitator, clumsily trying to pass on his ideas. But the poison you left is too deep; now the Shadow Elves can’t turn back, and only by destroying the flawed old system can we build a new future on its ruins.

This is my answer to you.

When Twilight Moment arrives, Shadow Elves will be the first civilization to burn!

I will complete it with my own hands!

Only then, when I die, can I face my past without shame. I destroyed one hope, so I must bring a new hope.”

“Do you know what saying these things before your god means?”

Rose said:

“Perhaps I should remove you here. I have enough reason to remove you, yet, Sarifov Shadowblade, traitor, I’ve watched you for longer than you imagine. Although I’ve delayed the weaving of the Network of Destiny, I still look forward to seeing what scene this misguided thread will weave in the end.

It must be glorious, dazzling, surprising… Yet your fate is already sealed.

You will die!

Shadowblade, you will ultimately fall in a pool of your own blood.

Just as Truman died in your arms, you will ultimately realize the responsibility you bear in this destiny.

You will ultimately know that with wrong methods, you cannot achieve a right result. However, hope has been conceived, it will blossom in the next era.

Go.

Only when you’ve walked barefoot through this painful road of blades, will I allow you to rest at night.

But tonight…

Do not add new branches to the tree.”

“Buzz”

Before Sarifov Shadowblade, the world around him turned upside down.

In the last confusion, he vaguely saw a tattered web, and when he realized it, he was still maintaining the action of pushing open the window, outside was still a mix of wind and rain, lightning and thunder.

“Ha ha.”

He chuckled twice, shook his head, opened the window, leaped out, then disappeared into the unsettling darkness.

He didn’t have much time to consider the prophecy about destiny left by Lady Spider.

His disciples were still waiting for him to save them.

Just like when Truman saved him back then.

—————–

“Is it just ahead?”

In the underground world of Charldo Harbor, after passing through the crisscrossing sewers to advance further down, Murphy reached out and pulled the sentry’s combat lightsaber, looking at those mechanical beasts emerging from the darkness, he said to Master Minkus beside him:

“If we take down these guys, we can get closer to the place of creation, right?”

“Yes, just ahead.”

Minkus threw his mechanical squirrel, letting it make clattering noises as it landed. In a rather peculiar and unscientific way, amid white steam plumes, it transformed into a half-body man-sized, double-armed and legged strange mechanical warrior.

The contraption looked quite precise, its transforming posture like the Bakugan toys Murphy played with as a child. This scene made the vampire blink, if he remembered correctly, both Old Flywheel and Little Bach had similar mechanical pets by their sides, which means there were similar mechanical warriors guarding them?

Well, is this the Master Mechanic’s way of combat?

It looks so cool.

Minkus didn’t notice Murphy’s flickering gaze, he stared at the obstructed front and said:

“This place is not quite the same as before, perhaps… something might have been activated, we must speed up, Mr. Morphy. When will the reinforcements you invited arrive?”

“They have already come.”

Murphy activated the lightsaber, stepped forward, and said:

“God’s Scepter is also in place, but honestly, you’d better pray tonight’s situation doesn’t develop to the point of needing that thing…”

Ps:

At Qingming Festival, I won’t wish everyone happiness, I’m afraid of being hit… In any case, the ancestors will bless us!
