My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 2972 -990: Hey Buddy, Your Girlfriend Is Blazing Hot (Physically)…

“Bang bang bang”

Bullets added with Burning Gold flew wildly, while the two Demi-Human Great Sages of the Mechanical Teachings blocked the road to the control room. Standing before them were Master Minks and the Mechanical Squirrel Warrior by his side.

It was unknown how Minks crafted such a peculiar mechanical puppet. It had a thin and unusually lightweight design, with limbs made of a combination of springs and blades that allowed it to move extremely fast. Its retractable mechanical claws armed on the forearms were far sharper than ordinary weapons, enabling it to swiftly maneuver through various areas, resembling a gust of sharp blade wind. Anything it touched would get part of its body sliced off.

Minks discarded the stereotype of the old professor, transforming his Mechanized Cane into a mechanical arm fixed onto his shoulder, continually shooting out Spiritual Energy Beams while holding large-caliber mechanical pistols in each hand. This forced the two Mechanical Sages to remain in hiding.

This president of Shaldo University indeed had remarkable marksmanship. Especially when he fired intensely, there was a distinct feel of the Death God approaching, with a barrage of bullets flying everywhere, even showing ricochet effects.

Of course, their battle was mostly engineering skill contests. In absolute terms, it might look like mere petty squabbles to Silver Rankers, yet the variety of engineering items continually thrown were deadly. Even anti-life grenades, which would release a dozen Spiritual Energy cutting beams upon landing, were tossed around as if there was a sale.

“Move!”

Minks roared:

“My mentor is right ahead! I have many questions to ask him, Marvin! Eborson! I know you, we’ve even sat together more than once to discuss the mysteries of mechanics. I thought we were friends!

Don’t block me!”

“That’s no longer the Old Bach you knew, Minks. Don’t go, you’ll die.”

Mechanical Sage Eborson, with his electronic voice, shouted:

“Even we don’t know what he’s doing in there, but the most extreme and loyal Steve has already been dealt with by your vampire friend, so maybe we can talk among us three. Considering our peaceful coexistence over the past century, let’s leave here!

Once we’ve figured out the knowledge within this Mechanical Holy Land, we’ll leave, even take the Mechanical Church out of Charldo Harbor. We’ll choose another place and start anew…

Not to hide from you, we’ve already selected quite a nice island on the Misty Sea.

You know, Minks, this city isn’t very welcoming to us, and we also don’t want to stay and watch you orthodox mechanics.”

“Why bother talking to him! Eborson, I’ll charge first, follow me!”

The more impulsive Mechanical Sage Marvin shouted, activating various armed prosthetics and rushing forward so fast that Eborson couldn’t stop him.

“Damn!”

Eborson cursed, also jumped up to prepare to support his companion.

But at the moment he leapt from his hiding place, Sage Marvin, who was supposed to pounce on Minks, suddenly turned around and aimed his ready-to-fire weaponry at Eborson.

“Damn! You two are together…”

“Boom”

Eborson’s last words were cut off, as he was blown to pieces right on the spot under Marvin’s bombardment and Minks’s bullet headshot.

The once heated passage fell eerily silent.

Mechanical Sage Marvin withdrew the weapon modules still smoking, adjusting his gray hood down to cover his entirely prosthetic body, complained in an emotionless mechanical voice to Minks, who also put away his weapons:

“You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this day, damn! When you sent me to infiltrate, you said to wrap up in five months at most. I waited and waited, five years later you told me the Mechanical Church’s research had significant merits, soothing me to stay hidden.

Fifteen years later, there was finally movement, and the sudden death of Old Bach forced me to continue staying.

I just waited, now it’s been two hundred and fifteen years!

Minks!

If you don’t wrap up soon, I’ll become the leader of the Mechanical Church… Damn! I’m already the leader of this darn organization, yet you just came!”

“Stop pretending, Marvin. Your infiltration mission was canceled a hundred seventy-five years ago, you chose to stay on your own, nothing to do with me.”

Minks sighed and said:

“Moreover, it wasn’t me who sent you initially, have you forgotten? You were diagnosed with a terminal illness and didn’t want to die, so I introduced you to work under my mentor, asking for his help. But look at you now, even combined with Eborson, you two barely have enough flesh to weigh three ounces.

Obviously, you’ve gone too far down this path.

Tell me, what’s the situation with the mentor returning this time?”

“I truly don’t know, no one does, he just returned suddenly, I didn’t even have a chance to send a message before Steve and Eborson dragged me into this situation.”

Mechanical Sage Marvin, with a rather “complicated” background, sighed in his mechanical voice:

“They acted very fanatically, deeply believing in the promises left by Old Bach two hundred years ago. Despite his apparent death back then, he now returns in vibrant flesh. Minks, I scanned him, he indeed is the living Old Bach.

Even younger than before.

I suspect he might have truly found the answer to the question that obsessed him in the final decades of his life. Frankly, I’m a bit frightened.”
