Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 50: Chapter 44 Advancing to a Level 12 Cultivator_2

Lili immediately burst into tears. She looked at Zhao Rong and cried, ”Zhao Rong, my father asked you to come and protect me, but you... you were in that cave with a vixen...”

Yu Lan was even more choked up with tears, saying breathlessly, ”Zhao Rong, I always thought I would be the first woman to sleep with you... But I never expected you to end up sleeping with a female disciple from the True Martial Sect...”

When Xuelian saw Zhao Rong emerge from the cave holding a woman, one who looked as if she had been mistreated, she couldn’t control her fragile emotions. She cried out, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re the only Prince Charming in the world for me! How could you abandon me and become someone else’s Prince Charming?”

If the three girls were surprised, Zhao Rong was utterly astonished. He never would have imagined that in their search for him, the three of them would track him all the way here.

Gently setting down the beautiful Tao Hua, Zhao Rong faced the three women and explained, ”Don’t misunderstand. This beautiful woman and I are completely innocent.”

Although Zhao Rong tried his best to explain, his words seemed incredibly weak in the face of what they had just witnessed.

Seeing the scene unfold, the assistant was overjoyed. He said gleefully to the three of them, ”See? I told you Zhao Rong was in here on a date with a girl, but you wouldn’t believe me. I bet you believe me now!”

After speaking, the assistant thought to himself, Zhao Rong, with ironclad proof like this, even if these three beauties still like you, they’ll abandon you for being so unfaithful. Once they’ve left you, then I can take your place.

While the assistant was secretly gloating, Xuelian was the first to step forward. She looked at Zhao Rong with infatuation and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I don’t blame you. I only blame that seductress from the True Martial Sect for luring you away.”

Hearing that Xuelian was still so hopelessly devoted to Zhao Rong despite everything, the assistant was floored.

My goodness! Where else in the world could you find another woman as foolish and devoted as Xuelian? he thought.

But before the assistant could even finish his thought, Yu Lan also stepped forward. She picked up some clothes from the ground and began to dress Zhao Rong, saying, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I don’t blame you either. I only blame that beast, the assistant, for dragging me here to see you cheating. If he hadn’t brought me here, it would have been out of sight, out of mind... Brother Zhao Rong, I want you to know that even if you fall for someone else, I, Yu Lan, will love only you for the rest of my life.”

Hearing this, the assistant nearly fainted.

What kind of magic did Zhao Rong cast on these two women to make them follow him so loyally? he wondered.

Just then, Miss Lili, who had always carried herself with the proud air of a tycoon’s daughter, also spoke. Wiping the sweat from Zhao Rong’s brow, she said, ”If this female disciple from the True Martial Sect is your first wife, then I’m willing to be your second wife...”

Hearing this, the assistant, who was standing nearby, practically spat up blood.

When Zhao Rong heard the words of the three stunning beauties, he too was shocked. He knew they had misunderstood him, but his young heart was nevertheless shaken. He never realized that in the process of protecting these three women, such deep emotions had unknowingly blossomed.

Zhao Rong swallowed hard and did his best to explain. ”Tao Hua is the daughter of the Sect Leader, Mage Yi Zhen. She brought me to this Cultivation Cave purely to help me raise my cultivation level... After all, I have to face Wang Jingang’s challenge this afternoon...”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong began to demonstrate the changes he had undergone after leveling up. The man who could previously only jump two meters now leaped four meters straight into the air. Originally able to lift a hundred-pound rock, he now hoisted a three-hundred-pound one in an instant. But what astonished the three girls most was that Zhao Rong, who used to be nothing but skin and bones with barely any muscle, now sported a chiseled eight-pack, which was clearly a result of the storm of energy that had formed within him.

Seeing all this, the three girls were dumbstruck. Hearing might be misleading, but seeing is believing. When they saw these changes in Zhao Rong with their own eyes, they believed him. They believed that Tao Hua was exhausted simply because she had been transferring her True Qi to him.

Instantly, the three beauties looked at Zhao Rong and began to apologize.

Miss Lili looked at him and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, it’s all my fault for being too suspicious. I was wrong.”

Yu Lan said apologetically, ”Brother Zhao Rong, from now on, if you stay out all night or disappear for a few days, I’ll never be suspicious again.”

Xuelian, so happy she was on the verge of tears, added, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I knew you weren’t that kind of person! From now on, I’ll never doubt your character again.”

Listening to the three girls apologize to Zhao Rong, the assistant grew agitated.

I tirelessly tracked Zhao Rong with my phone just to expose him for seeing another woman behind these three beauties’ backs. How is it that now, not only are they not blaming him, they’re actually apologizing?

Thus, the assistant declared, ”You all might believe Zhao Rong, but I don’t! To prove what he and Tao Hua were doing in that cave... I’m going in to find evidence right now!”

After speaking, he thought, As long as I can find used tissues in there, I can prove what Zhao Rong and Tao Hua did...

With that, the assistant charged into the Cultivation Cave.

Seeing him rush in, Tao Hua quickly sat up. She called out a warning to him, ”This Cultivation Cave is also called the Snake Cave! There are two paths inside. You have to take the one that starts cold and then gets warm; that path has no snakes. If you take the wider, more comfortable-looking path, you’ll fall right into a snake pit and get bitten!”

This was the venomous snakes’ breeding season. Taking the wrong path meant encountering what seemed like tens of billions of them. Anyone with a fear of dense clusters would be scared to death.

Although Tao Hua had warned him, the assistant, once inside, still chose the wide, temperate path.

Fifty minutes later, he came crying and stumbling out of the cave, clutching his rear. When everyone saw him, with snakes hanging from his head, his neck, his shoulders—everywhere—they all jumped back in shock. Clearly, the assistant had stumbled and fallen into a teeming horde of mating snakes.

As they moved closer to help pull the snakes off him, another one suddenly slithered out from his pants leg.

”AAAAHHH!” the assistant shrieked, clutching his backside. ”Damn it! A snake bit my ass!”

Sure enough, two small puncture marks had appeared on his buttock, spraying blood like a water pistol.

Just then, Zhao Rong’s phone rang. It was Mage Yi Zhen, informing him that the duel scheduled for the afternoon had been moved up. Zhao Rong had to hurry back to the dueling arena immediately to face Wang Jingang’s challenge.
