Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: You Plot Carefully, I Remain Unfazed

Zhao Rong had just walked into the corridor of the training center when the training director came forward to greet him. Looking at Zhao Rong, he said, ”Student Zhao Rong, welcome to the training program.”

Zhao Rong eyed the approaching training director. This ’pursuit’ company’s arrangements are quite impressive. Even the training director came out to greet me personally. He bowed to the training director and then followed him. When they reached the doorway of the classroom, the director suddenly stopped. He took an unnatural step back and said to Zhao Rong, ”Since you’re new, you should go in first.”

Zhao Rong was completely unaware that the chairman’s daughter had already bribed the training director; they were in cahoots. Unsuspecting and unprepared, he pushed open the door and walked in.

Following behind, the training director watched Zhao Rong enter and thought with sympathy, Student Zhao Rong, don’t blame me for being heartless. If you have to blame someone, blame Lili for being so rich. Money makes the world go round, after all.

The moment Zhao Rong entered, Lili, who was already seated inside, was ready. She clutched a remote control, waiting for him to fall into her trap.

After walking into the classroom, Zhao Rong looked around at all the beautiful women and was overjoyed. This noble training center is truly noble. The daughters of these wealthy families are all stunning.

However, just as Zhao Rong was lost in his admiration, Lili decisively pressed the button on the remote. Suddenly, the floor beneath his feet gave way. Seeing the pit open up under Zhao Rong, Lili burst out laughing. ”Zhao Rong, no matter how tough you are, you can’t escape my trap!”

But just as Lili was preparing to collect his body, Zhao Rong moved with lightning speed. He planted one foot on the edge of the pit, avoiding the fall completely. When everyone saw him miraculously dodge the first trap, the entire class gasped in surprise.

Lili ground her teeth. Zhao Rong, you got lucky dodging the first one... But don’t get cocky. The second trap will definitely nail you where it counts.

The training director, who had followed him in, saw Zhao Rong step over the trap and sucked in a sharp breath. This kid is really lucky. Still, even if he dodged the first trap, he won’t be able to dodge the second.

Once inside, the training director walked up to the stage, deliberately leaving the spot over the next trap’s trigger open for Zhao Rong. He announced, ”Let’s all welcome our new classmate, Zhao Rong.” With that, he invited Zhao Rong onto the stage, intentionally guiding him to stand right on the trigger point.

Standing on the stage, Zhao Rong looked down at the sea of beauties and felt a thrill of excitement. However, while he was lost in his fantasy, a heavy fist suddenly shot out from under the lectern, aimed directly at his groin.

In the nick of time, Zhao Rong’s reaction speed, a hundred times faster than an average person’s, kicked in. Although the fist flew out rapidly, in his eyes, it was moving in slow motion. He didn’t move from his spot but simply shifted the lectern slightly. As he moved it, he gave no thought to the training director standing beside him.

With a pained shriek from the director, the second trap sprang. Zhao Rong watched as the training director was hit squarely in his vital area. He immediately cupped his chin in his hands. It’s all my fault. I was too careless. How could I have moved the lectern right in front of the training director?

When Lili saw that the second trap had also missed Zhao Rong, she shot to her feet. Although the director had been struck a heavy blow to the groin, he struggled back to his feet, trying to maintain his dignity.

Seeing her previous traps had failed, Lili pinned all her hopes on the last one. Even if Zhao Rong is fast, he can’t possibly dodge the blackboard. It’s just too big. Unless he’s Superman, he can’t get away.

Confident, Lili pressed the button for the third trap. The massive plexiglass blackboard immediately came crashing down toward Zhao Rong’s head.Suddenly, Zhao Rong felt a cool rush of air behind him. He whipped his head around and saw the blackboard hurtling down. Instantly, he dropped into a crouch, once again escaping disaster. The heavy board, not missing by an inch, smashed squarely onto the head of the training director, who had just managed to stand up. Before he could even react, the director was knocked unconscious. In the moment before blacking out, he thought, How is this Zhao Rong, this short kid who looks so dopey and has no cultivation level, so damn impressive? His reaction speed is like a cat’s!

Seeing Zhao Rong dodge all three traps, Lili collapsed onto her stool in despair.

Zhao Rong stood up, bowed to the class, and said, ”Hello everyone. I’m the new student, Zhao Rong. I look forward to being your classmate.” With that, he walked off the stage and sat down next to Lili.

When the students saw their accomplice, the training director, lying on the ground with a bloody head, they rushed to call an ambulance and have him sent to the hospital.

After settling in, Zhao Rong looked at Lili. ”Beautiful, from now on, I’m your deskmate. I’m not only responsible for protecting you, but I’m also going to make you mine.”

Hearing his domineering words, a pretty girl named Yu Lan sitting next to Lili was immediately taken with his assertiveness. Seeing Lili ignore Zhao Rong, Yu Lan nudged her with an elbow. ”Girl, if you’re not interested in this guy, then I’m making my move.”

Hearing that Yu Lan wanted to pursue Zhao Rong, Lili scoffed, ”Whatever. As long as you can accept how short, ugly, and poor he is, then go right ahead.”

After speaking, Lili thought, Yu Lan, you shameless woman, trying to poach my man? Not a chance. She quietly wrote a note and secretly passed it to Zhao Rong.

Mystified, Zhao Rong received the note from Lili and opened it. It read: That vixen has her eye on you. Don’t pay her any mind.

Seeing the note, Zhao Rong was startled. No way. A poor guy like me, from a family with no money, the kind of guy no girl in college would ever look at twice... could my romantic fortunes finally be turning here?

He took the initiative and smiled at Yu Lan, the girl next to Lili, and gave her a flirtatious wink. When Lili saw Zhao Rong actively wink at Yu Lan, she trembled with anger. Was the note I wrote for him a complete waste?

And when Yu Lan saw Zhao Rong wink at her, she immediately wrote him a note that said: Come to my dorm tonight...
