Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 27: Chapter 24: You Have Sharp Claws and Fangs, I Have a Clever Brain

The serpentine monster, half-dead from the fumes of the stink-egg nuke, scrambled into the bathroom. As it lifted the toilet lid, intending to flee through the sewer, it muttered, ”Damn it, this Knockout Drug is way too potent. The fumes almost killed me. If I don’t get out of here now, I’m going to die at the hands of Zhao Rong and Miss Lili.”

So, the serpentine monster prepared to escape through the sewer. However, before it could make its move, it suddenly lost control of its transformation. After shifting form, the creature was as large as a bear, making it impossible to escape through the narrow pipes. Realizing it had transformed, the serpentine monster cursed, ”Damn it! I really fell into Zhao Rong and Miss Lili’s trap today. I can’t even control my own transformation.” Clearly, its plan to escape through the sewer system had failed. The monster rushed out of the bathroom and made for the front door, ready to break it down. But when it pulled on the handle, it discovered that Zhao Rong and Miss Lili had locked the dormitory door. The monster was usually incredibly strong, but its strength had been sapped by the stink-egg nuke. It didn’t even have the power to break down the door. After a few futile kicks, it realized it was helpless. The serpentine monster couldn’t help but sigh, ”It seems my plan to break out the front door has also failed.” Defeated, it went over to the window. When it slid the window open and prepared to jump, it realized Miss Lili’s dorm was on the sixteenth floor. Staring down at the dizzying height, the serpentine monster sucked in a sharp breath. ”Looks like if I want to live, my only option is to jump from the sixteenth floor. If I get caught by Zhao Rong and Miss Lili, I’ll suffer a death more wretched than a pig’s.”

To save its own life, the serpentine monster had no choice but to take a desperate leap from the sixteenth floor. Though it survived the fall, it broke eight ribs, lost a mouthful of teeth, and was left bloodied and battered. The ordeal had cut its strength by more than half.

「That evening」

When Zhao Rong and Miss Lili returned to the dorm, they not only found the floor littered with dead cockroaches but also noticed signs that someone had been inside the room. Looking at the dead pests, Zhao Rong said, ”Miss Lili, your stink-egg nuke is really something else. It killed so many cockroaches.”

Miss Lili laughed. ”With my stink-egg nuke, anyone who gets a whiff would feel so miserable they’d wish they were dead.”

Zhao Rong chuckled at her words. At the same time, he noticed the signs of disturbance in the room and the tracks on the floor. ”Whoa, was there some kind of large animal in your dorm? Look at these marks.”

Miss Lili examined the tracks. ”You don’t think a stray cat or dog snuck in, do you?”

Zhao Rong thought for a moment. ”No, didn’t you say the serpentine monster can transform? It must have already been here.”

Hearing this, Miss Lili asked in alarm, ”What do we do?”

”If it came once, it’ll definitely come again,” Zhao Rong mused. ”Don’t be afraid. Let’s lie low and not scare it off.” As he spoke, Zhao Rong took a stun baton and an electric hair remover from his backpack, then had Miss Lili boil a kettle of water. He said confidently, ”If that serpentine monster comes to harass us again, this kettle of boiling water, this stun baton, and this hair remover will be waiting for it.”

Miss Lili was taken aback. ”Zhao Rong, are you planning to scald it with boiling water, electrocute it, and then pluck it clean?”

Does this guy kill chickens at home often? Lili wondered. She knew that to pluck a chicken, you first had to scald it with boiling water to make the feathers easier to remove.

Zhao Rong nodded. ”Didn’t you say that after it transforms, it’s as terrifying as a bear? I’m going to strip it of all its fur, remove its fearsome appearance, and leave it completely exposed.”

Listening to his plan, Miss Lili gave him a thumbs-up. ”That’s a great idea! It’ll completely shatter the serpentine monster’s spirit.”

However, after Miss Lili and Zhao Rong waited for several days, the serpentine monster still hadn’t appeared. Meanwhile, Yu Lan and Xuelian, who couldn’t stand seeing Miss Lili monopolize Zhao Rong, moved into her dormitory. Now, Zhao Rong was living in the same room with three top-tier beauties. Ever since he started sharing a room with them, Zhao Rong’s nosebleeds became much more severe. This was because, through the mirror on the windowsill, he could admire not only Miss Lili’s fine figure but also the lovely figures of Yu Lan and Xuelian.

Furthermore, every night after the lights went out, the real drama began. The three girls seemed to be in a standoff, monitoring each other to ensure no one got close to Zhao Rong alone. Xuelian, in particular, knew that Yu Lan had been plotting to get Zhao Rong for some time. To prevent Yu Lan from making the first move, Xuelian stayed up all night, keeping a close watch on her. Miss Lili, in turn, kept an eye on both Yu Lan and Xuelian, determined to stop them from having any designs on her bodyguard. Thus, Zhao Rong lived with the three girls in a state of simultaneous bliss, agony, excitement, and repression.

Several days passed before the serpentine monster finally graced them with its presence again. On a dark and windy night, with not even a sliver of moon in the sky, the creature emerged from the sewer. The first thing it did was sniff the air, checking if any of those dreaded stink-egg nukes had been left out. The memory of being fumigated was still fresh, and it loathed the things with a passion. Finding no unusual smells besides the women’s perfume, the serpentine monster crept out of the bathroom. This time, it was determined to kill everyone present, leaving no survivors.

It was dark outside, but even darker inside the dormitory. The serpentine monster looked at the four sleeping figures and chuckled to itself. Fools, sleep soundly. You’re all doomed. All I have to do is leap forward with my jaws wide open, and I can bite your heads off one by one. I’m so brilliant, choosing such a safe and foolproof night to strike.

Just as the serpentine monster was one hundred percent certain it was about to kill Miss Lili, her bodyguard Zhao Rong, Xuelian, and Yu Lan, the dormitory lights suddenly flashed on. Zhao Rong burst out from behind the door and poured an entire kettle of boiling water over the serpentine monster’s head. A bloodcurdling scream tore through the night. Before the monster could even react, Zhao Rong whipped the stun baton from his waist and began electrocuting it. The creature, already half-dead from the scalding water, collapsed to the floor, completely unable to resist.

At that moment, the three beauties, who had only been pretending to be asleep, leaped up from their beds, brandishing the electric hair removers they had prepared. They descended upon the transformed, bear-sized monster and began to pluck it clean with professional efficiency. In less than three minutes, the once formidable and terrifying serpentine monster was stripped completely bare, lying before them like a plucked chicken.
