Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 17: Chapter 16 Punishing the Evil and Promoting the Good, Teaching a Lesson to the Wicked

In the taxi, Zhao Rong sat in the front while the three beautiful women sat in the back.

Suddenly, Yu Lan remembered something and said worriedly to Lili, ”Lili, those thugs threatened us. They said if we don’t pay them back within an hour, they’ll disfigure you. You have to be careful.”

Hearing this, Lili said dismissively, ”Those scumbags have threatened me plenty of times, but they’ve never had the guts to actually do anything.”

Xuelian also voiced her concern. ”Lili, we should still be cautious. We can’t run into those thugs, or the consequences will be unimaginable.”

”You’re all being so paranoid,” Lili said nonchalantly. ”We’re in a taxi. Even if those thugs wanted to catch me, they wouldn’t be able to.”

However, before Lili could finish speaking, a large SUV suddenly rushed out in front of them, blocking their taxi’s path. Five thugs armed with machetes immediately jumped out of the vehicle.

Seeing the blades glinting in the moonlight, the terrified taxi driver slammed on the brakes before jumping out of the car and fleeing. Inside the car, Lili was petrified.

She exclaimed, ”Oh my God, I can’t believe they’re actually serious this time!”

Beside her, Xuelian and Yu Lan were just as terrified. ”We’re done for,” they cried. ”They’re holding machetes! Even if Zhao Rong is a good fighter, he’s hopelessly outnumbered.”

As the three women trembled in fear, Zhao Rong stepped out of the car and reassured them, ”Don’t be afraid. With me here, no one can touch you.”

With that, he jumped out of the car.

Facing the approaching men, Zhao Rong asked, ”What do you guys think you’re doing?”

The gold-toothed man leading them snarled, ”Kid, stay out of this. We’re here to kidnap Miss Lili.”

Hearing that they really intended to kidnap Lili, Zhao Rong stood firm. ”Kidnapping is a crime! You’ve got some nerve, trying to break the law like this. You’d better watch it, or I’ll report you to the police.”

At his words, the thugs burst into laughter. ”Damn, you’re something else. You’re about to die, and you’re threatening us with the cops?”

The thug with the split lip spoke up. ”Boss, let’s just kill this guy blocking our way, then rush the car and grab Miss Lili.”

When Lili heard that these men intended to kill Zhao Rong, she couldn’t stay put. She immediately stuck her head out the window. ”Zhao Rong, run! They want me, not you! Don’t get yourself killed for my sake.”

Although Lili urged him to flee, Zhao Rong didn’t budge. ”Don’t worry. As your bodyguard, I have to protect you, no matter the cost.”

With that, he pushed Lili’s head back into the car and locked the doors.

Inside the car, Lili burst into tears. ”This is serious,” she said to Yu Lan. ”Zhao Rong might really get killed by these scoundrels.”

Hearing this, Yu Lan also began to cry. ”I finally found a guy I like... How can he be gone just like that?”

Xuelian wept sorrowfully as well. ”In this life, there is only one man who cannot draw my sword—my soulmate, Zhao Rong. I can’t lose him...”

While the three women were weeping uncontrollably, they heard the car door open.

Seeing the door swing open, Lili thought, It’s over. Zhao Rong must have been killed, and now these thugs are coming to kidnap me.

Yu Lan despaired, thinking, Zhao Rong must be dead. Otherwise, he would have fought to the death to protect us.

Xuelian clutched her chest, her heart aching. Even if I die, I want to die alongside Zhao Rong.

However, just when the three of them had lost all hope, Zhao Rong opened the door and sat inside.

Seeing him get into the car, Lili exclaimed with relief, ”Zhao Rong, you’re alive?”

Yu Lan, noticing he was completely unharmed, asked in surprise, ”Did those thugs let us go?”

Seeing Zhao Rong get back into the car, Xuelian urged him frantically, ”Brother Zhao Rong, drive, quick! Let’s get out of here! If those guys with the machetes get in, it’ll be a disaster.”

In contrast to the girls’ fear and panic, Zhao Rong calmly brushed the dust from his clothes and said, ”It’s all right. I’ve already taken care of those thugs.”

His words left the three women stunned. They couldn’t believe that an unarmed Zhao Rong had managed to defeat a gang of vicious thugs all by himself.

Lili was the first to get out of the car. She saw all the thugs on the ground, clutching their groins and writhing in agony. She couldn’t imagine how Zhao Rong alone had managed to defeat so many men.

Then, Xuelian got out. When she saw the men lying on the ground, she immediately recalled how Zhao Rong had dealt with the Rainy Night Maniac. He had used the same move on different people, and the effect was just as clear.

To end the fight quickly, Zhao Rong had activated his Special Abilities—namely, his superhuman speed. When he moved at his top speed, it was as if time itself had frozen. The men holding the machetes seemed like wax figures arranged before him. All he had to do was kick each man in the groin, one after another, until he reached the last one. No matter how strong or brave a man was, a kick there would instantly neutralize him.

Watching the thugs writhe in torment, Zhao Rong simply took out his phone, called the police, and had them all taken away.

The three women were once again astounded by Zhao Rong’s prowess. Even Lili, who had always looked down on him, began to look up to him in admiration. In fact, she started fantasizing about what it would be like to have such an impressive boyfriend. With him by her side, she wouldn’t be afraid of anything, anywhere.

Compared to Lili, what Yu Lan wanted most was to sleep with Zhao Rong. Only by getting into bed with him could she truly feel like she had him.

Xuelian, meanwhile, dreamt of the future. She imagined a day when Zhao Rong would come to marry her, riding a white horse or borne upon a seven-colored cloud, just like Supreme Treasure came for his Zixia Fairy.

As Zhao Rong drove the three women back to the training center, an image suddenly flashed through his mind: Park the car in a secluded area, fold down the back seats... turn the car’s interior into a bed...
