Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 41: Chapter 38 3 days later, fight on the playground

Just as Hu Jie was pressuring Zhao Rong to admit that only the three girls he had brought were top-tier beauties, it all happened in a flash.

The three beauties—Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian—grabbed their makeup remover and simultaneously splashed it on the three women across from them.

The heavy makeup on their faces vanished instantly. Xiao Hong, who had just claimed to be eighteen, was revealed to have the face of a forty-year-old woman. Xiao Lan, who had declared she was eighteen and a half, now looked forty-five. And Ah Zi, who had said she was not yet nineteen, shockingly had the face of a woman nearly fifty years old.

When the crowd saw that the three women brought by Hu Jie, the self-proclaimed number one playboy of the True Martial Sect, were actually middle-aged women between forty and fifty, a wave of gasps rippled through them. This was followed by peals of laughter, and finally, a torrent of jeers.

Even Zhao Rong hadn’t expected this. The great Hu Jie, who had come to show off and one-up him, was apparently a connoisseur of older women.

When Hu Jie saw the three ”girls” who had just claimed to be eighteen suddenly transform into middle-aged women, he was so furious he burst into tears.

He cried, ”I always thought I was wining and dining eighteen-year-old girls every day... Who knew I was actually frolicking with a bunch of grannies?”

After that, Hu Jie ran away in shame.

Even after he was gone, Zhao Rong still hadn’t recovered from the shock.

He said in amazement, ”Wow, modern makeup is more powerful than the Facial Transformation Technique! If it weren’t for you three beauties and your sharp eyes that can see through any deception, I would’ve been completely fooled by those women.”

Lili smiled. ”Actually, the moment I saw them, I could tell their faces were caked in foundation. They must have had at least a dozen layers on.”

Yu Lan laughed as well. ”A woman applying foundation is like a construction worker spackling a wall. You just add layer after layer until you get a smooth surface.”

Xuelian looked at the bottle of makeup remover in her hand and added, ”I never realized Miss Lili’s makeup remover was so potent.”

Hearing this, Miss Lili chuckled. ”It’s not that my makeup remover is potent, it’s that the cosmetics they were using were incredibly cheap and nasty.”

With that, Zhao Rong continued toward the Training Hall, accompanied by the three top-tier beauties. As they walked, envious glances from the surrounding crowd naturally fell upon him.

A portly disciple said with envy, ”I can’t believe a disciple from our True Martial Sect managed to land such gorgeous women.”

A skinny disciple added, ”Looks like with Zhao Rong here, Hu Jie’s time is up.”

A short disciple agreed. ”Exactly! Zhao Rong is the real deal, surrounded by genuinely beautiful women. That Hu Jie is just a fraud. He clearly doesn’t have what it takes to attract beauties, so he puffs himself up by finding some old women, caking them in makeup, and passing them off as young hotties.”

A tall disciple chimed in, ”Looks like from now on, we can mock Hu Jie to his face. That’ll teach him to act so smug in front of us guys who don’t have girlfriends.”

Once Zhao Rong and the three beauties entered the Training Hall, the assistant hurried in after them.

Zhao Rong saw the breathless assistant and quickly made a seat for him. ”Look at you, you’re exhausted. Sit down and rest for a bit.”

The assistant sat down, complaining, ”Damn it, I just got back from cleaning the latrines. The toilets in this True Martial Sect are not for ordinary people to clean. They’re so filthy it’s nauseating.”

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at Yu Lan beside him, saying with admiration, ”Yu Lan, I’m so incredibly fortunate to be able to cultivate in the same place as you.”

Yu Lan, aware of his affection, shot him a dirty look. ”Don’t talk to me. I find you repulsive.”

Hearing her dismiss him so coldly, the assistant scrambled to find something to say. ”Yu Lan, I know you like guys like Zhao Rong who are good in a fight. I may not be a fighter, but I’m a good cook!”

Hearing that the assistant could cook, the nearby Miss Lili asked with interest, ”You know how to cook?”

At this, the assistant deliberately glanced at Zhao Rong and boasted, ”My cooking is amazing! I’m definitely a hundred—no, a thousand times better than Zhao Rong here, who can’t cook at all.”

When Zhao Rong heard the assistant putting him down to boost his own image in front of the girls, he didn’t say a word. He knew the assistant had a tough job cleaning the toilets and figured the guy just needed to vent and find some balance.

The assistant looked at the three girls and continued trying to win them over. ”If you’d like to try my food, I can show you what I can do tomorrow. I’ll make you all some handmade noodles.”

Hearing this, Lili, who loved noodles, perked up. ”That would be fantastic! I love handmade noodles.”

The assistant was thrilled. ”Great! Tomorrow morning, I’ll use these skillful hands to mix the dough, color it, press it, and roll it out for you.”

Before the assistant could finish, the old gatekeeper suddenly walked in.
