Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Being Admired, Being Appreciated

The next day, before Zhao Rong had even woken up, he was stirred from his sleep by a group of chattering girls outside his dormitory. What Zhao Rong didn’t know was that because of the previous night’s events, he had become the talk of the Noble Manager Training Center. At the same time, he had also become the idol of many adoring female students.

Zhao Rong furrowed his brow. Why are so many people gathered at my door this early in the morning? Could Dasha be here for revenge?

He turned to his assistant, who was snoring not far away, and said, ”Hey, wake up. Go check what’s going on.”

Zhao Rong called out for a long time, but his assistant didn’t stir. So, he casually grabbed a nearby cigarette butt and threw it at the assistant, hoping to wake him.

However, Zhao Rong never expected that he would throw it perfectly into his assistant’s snoring mouth. And as he snored, the assistant swallowed the cigarette butt whole.

Seeing this, Zhao Rong gasped. I hope he doesn’t hold a grudge when he wakes up. It was a complete accident.

Since the assistant wouldn’t get up, Zhao Rong dressed and got out of bed. He peeked through the peephole first. When he saw more than a dozen beautiful women standing at his door holding flowers, he was completely stunned.

Is this a trap? What have I ever done to deserve the attention of so many beauties?

But curiosity compelled him to open the door. The moment he did, all the girls shrieked with excitement.

A curvaceous beauty looked at Zhao Rong and gushed, ”Wow, he’s the hero who beat up Dasha last night! He’s so manly.”

A girl with a figure so stunning she seemed unsteady on her feet handed Zhao Rong flowers and said, ”Zhao Yingxiong, Dasha was a tyrant at our training center, bullying everyone and stopping at nothing. Finally, a hero like you has stood up for us.”

A girl with a face as pretty as a celebrity’s looked at him with admiration. ”You’re amazing! I love a man who can fight like you.”

In no time, Zhao Rong had received over a dozen bouquets.

Just as a stunned Zhao Rong was holding the flowers, overwhelmed by the unexpected attention, Lili happened to walk out of her dorm and saw the whole scene. She was utterly shocked to see a dozen girls scrambling to give Zhao Rong flowers. She had never imagined that a salesman sent by the agency hired to pursue her could be so popular. Involuntarily, she began to re-evaluate this short, destitute, and plain-looking boy.

Just then, Yu Lan arrived, squeezing through the crowd and throwing her arms around Zhao Rong.

She announced to the surrounding girls, ”Don’t even think about it. He’s already mine. I like him...”

Hearing this, the other girls began to chatter jealously.

The girl with the stunning figure said, ”That vixen. She tries to seduce every handsome guy who transfers to our training center.”

The girl with the celebrity-like face was even more blunt. ”I bet Yu Lan just wants to sleep with Zhao Yingxiong.”

At that moment, Zhao Rong, who hadn’t washed his face or brushed his teeth and was clutching a pile of flowers, felt extremely awkward. He thanked everyone while retreating back into his dorm.

However, when he closed the door, thinking he was finally alone, he turned around and saw Yu Lan standing right behind him.

”You... when did you get in here?” Zhao Rong exclaimed, startled.

Without a word, Yu Lan stepped forward, embraced him, and gave him a kiss. Faced with her kiss, Zhao Rong, who hadn’t brushed his teeth, couldn’t escape and could only...

Just as Zhao Rong and Yu Lan were kissing, the assistant suddenly felt something lodge in his throat and was jolted awake, gasping for air. The moment he opened his eyes, he saw Zhao Rong brazenly getting intimate with a beautiful woman right there in the dorm.

The assistant gulped and lay back down, quickly shutting his eyes.

Pretending to be asleep, he thought, No way. Is this kid Zhao Rong planning to... with the beautiful Yu Lan in the dorm while I’m sleeping? That can’t happen. Miss Lili specifically called the boss and had me come here to stop Zhao Rong and Yu Lan...

With that, the assistant shot up in bed. He leaped down and suddenly appeared between Zhao Rong and Yu Lan. The two, who had been completely lost in the moment, were startled by his sudden appearance and instantly pulled apart.

Yu Lan stared at the assistant angrily. ”Weren’t you asleep? How did you suddenly wake up? If you know what’s good for you, get back in bed and go back to sleep.”

Zhao Rong also glared at the assistant, annoyed by the terrible timing of his appearance.

Just as the assistant was about to speak, he felt something stuck in his throat, making it impossible to get a word out. He stammered and sputtered for a long time without managing to say anything.

Only then did Zhao Rong remember that he had accidentally tossed a cigarette butt into the assistant’s mouth. He pointed apologetically toward the bathroom and made a retching motion, signaling for the assistant to go throw up the cigarette butt.

However, the assistant completely misinterpreted the gesture. He thought Zhao Rong and Yu Lan were going to...

The assistant’s eyes widened. I never would have guessed! Zhao Rong seems so honest, but he has a kink like this? You really can’t judge a book by its cover.

Seeing the assistant stammering without saying a word, Yu Lan curiously asked Zhao Rong, ”What’s wrong with your roommate? He was fine yesterday. Why is he suddenly mute today?”

”He had a nightmare last night and shouted so much he lost his voice,” Zhao Rong explained. ”That’s why he can’t talk.”

Hearing this, Yu Lan saw the assistant in a completely new light. This assistant looks so handsome and proper. I had no idea he was such a pervert.

When the assistant heard Zhao Rong’s slander, he was furious and tried desperately to explain, but he was still unable to speak. He could only fret helplessly.

Observing the assistant’s frantic state, Yu Lan said to Zhao Rong, ”I feel sorry for you, having to share a dorm with such a pervert. What bad luck. Anyway, let’s ignore him. I’ll take you to breakfast.”

With that, Yu Lan took Zhao Rong’s hand, and they left the dorm.

Watching Zhao Rong and Yu Lan leave hand in hand, the assistant was so angry he could have exploded. To be honest, the moment he saw Yu Lan the previous night, he had fallen for her at first sight. But now, Yu Lan liked Zhao Rong and was actively pursuing him. On top of that, Zhao Rong had just spread a vicious rumor, branding him as a pervert in her eyes. The thought caused the assistant immense pain.

In the cafeteria, Lili immediately walked over when she saw Zhao Rong and Yu Lan appear arm in arm. Driven by a woman’s pettiness, she was deeply annoyed to see the man who was supposed to be pursuing her getting all chummy with Yu Lan. She walked straight up and blocked their path.

”Zhao Rong,” she said, ”weren’t you sent here specifically to pursue me? Why are you suddenly with Yu Lan now? Are you planning to give up on me?”
