Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 14: Chapter 13 You are My Hero

This battle truly made a name for Zhao Rong. He didn’t just become the resident male god for all the girls at the training center; he also became a hero in the eyes of the weaker students. What’s more, one beautiful girl, admiring Zhao Rong’s mighty strength, wanted to offer herself to him...

And so it happened. That morning, just as Zhao Rong woke up, he saw a slip of paper that had been shoved under his door. He rubbed his eyes, unfolded the note, and was shocked by what he read.

The note said: ”Oppa, if you don’t mind, I’ll be waiting for you in Dormitory 304.”

Zhao Rong gasped. This is a blatant invitation for a hookup... he thought. As a young man, I’m also... well, interested. But still, it’s better not to get involved with a girl this forward and open.

So, Zhao Rong nonchalantly tossed the note aside and went to the bathroom to wash up. Just then, his assistant happened to walk in. He knew that many beautiful girls in the training center adored his roommate, Zhao Rong. Some even wanted to offer themselves to him... He picked up the note Zhao Rong had thrown on the floor. Looking at ”Dormitory 304” written on it, he thought, Since Zhao Rong isn’t going, I might as well go myself. Who knows, something might happen.

And so, the assistant quietly made his way to Dormitory 304. When he arrived, he knocked on the door and said, ”Hey beautiful, open up.”

The curvaceous girl inside heard the knock and thought excitedly, He really came! It’s true what they say, even heroes have a weakness for beautiful women. It looks like I’m going to be the first lucky girl in the training center to... with Zhao Rong!

So, the curvaceous girl asked, ”Are you Zhao Rong?”

Hearing this, the assistant had a crafty thought. Since she wrote a note like this to Zhao Rong, she must be really thirsty... That means as long as it’s a man, she’ll definitely go for it...

With that, the assistant imitated Zhao Rong’s voice and said, ”I’m Zhao Rong. Hurry up and open the door.”

The curvaceous girl was overjoyed to hear that it was indeed Zhao Rong at the door. As she went to unlock it, she thought, When Zhao Rong comes in, I have to give it my all. I absolutely cannot let him down.

Thus, the curvaceous girl opened the door. The moment it was open, the assistant pushed his way in and quickly shut it behind him. When the curvaceous girl saw that the person who had entered was not Zhao Rong but his roommate, the assistant, her hopes were instantly crushed.

The curvaceous girl glared at the assistant. ”I asked Zhao Rong to come over! What are you doing here?”

The assistant, eyeing her stunning figure, replied, ”Hey, all men are the same. Who cares if it’s Zhao Rong or not? As long as it’s a man, that’s all that matters, right?”

Just as the assistant was fantasizing about what might happen with the curvaceous girl, she suddenly threw a punch, hitting him squarely on the nose.

”Damn it!” she yelled. ”Do you think I’m some kind of slut?”

Blood gushed from the assistant’s nose, covering his face. ”If you’re not interested, just say so! Why did you have to hit me?” he cried out in pain.

Before he could finish his sentence, she punched him again, this time in the mouth, drawing more blood. Now bleeding from both his nose and mouth, he pleaded in agony, ”We can talk about this! Why resort to violence?”

But before he could even finish that sentence, she landed another punch, giving him a black eye. At this point, the assistant didn’t dare utter another word. He just scrambled out of the curvaceous girl’s dorm room.

Meanwhile, Zhao Rong had just entered the classroom. Sitting down, he looked at the empty seat nearby and wondered, Where did the assistant run off to?

Before he could finish the thought, the assistant stumbled in with tissue stuffed up his nose, a busted lip, and a black eye. Zhao Rong stared at his assistant, who looked like he had been thoroughly beaten. ”What happened to you?” he asked in surprise. ”How did you end up in this sorry state?”

The assistant lied, ”I just saw a thief snatching a woman’s wallet. I tried to be a hero, and the thief beat me up for it.”

Hearing that his assistant possessed such high moral character, Zhao Rong immediately gave him a thumbs-up. As he did, however, he suddenly noticed another note stuffed inside his desk.

Zhao Rong opened it. It read: ”Zhao Rong, my hero, I’m Diao Chan from Class Three, and I want to be friends with you. If you’re willing, please come to the hotel outside the training center. I’ve already booked a room.”

Seeing how forward this girl from Class Three was, Zhao Rong immediately tossed the note into the trash can behind him.

The assistant’s eyes were sharp. When he saw Zhao Rong throw away the note, he immediately realized, Another girl is trying to get with Zhao Rong...

So, during the break, when no one was paying attention, the assistant stealthily retrieved the note. Hoping to get lucky, he headed to the hotel just outside the training center.

The assistant stood in the designated room, thinking, That’s strange. Why isn’t anyone here?

Just as he was wondering about this, a group of girls rushed in. A tall girl looked at him and said, ”Hey, weren’t we supposed to meet Zhao Rong? Why did this guy show up?”

A woman with beautiful lips added, ”I’m sure I put the note in Zhao Rong’s desk. How did this person end up here?”

Surrounded by the chattering girls, the assistant thought hopefully, Even if I’m not Zhao Rong, with so many girls here, surely one of them will like me.

But as the assistant clung to this sliver of hope, one of the shorter girls suddenly said, ”Wait a minute, why does this guy look like the peeping tom I ran into last time?”

Another girl chimed in, ”Small eyes, a pointy chin, that lecherous grin... That’s right, it’s him!”

A girl as powerfully built as a gorilla stepped forward. ”You’re the one who peeked at me! I’ve been looking for you for years and couldn’t find you. I never thought you’d deliver yourself right to my doorstep today! I searched high and low for you, and you just waltzed right in.”

A girl holding a steel pipe squeezed through the crowd. ”Since we’ve caught this lecher, what are we waiting for?” she said. ”If you’ve got a score to settle, now’s the time!”

Before the girl with the steel pipe could even finish, the surrounding girls grabbed whatever they could—stools, washbasins, table legs, and frying pans—and started hurling them at the assistant. He didn’t even have time to react before he was buried under the assault.

When class let out for lunch, Zhao Rong left the classroom, but the assistant was still nowhere to be seen. What is that guy up to today? Zhao Rong wondered. Acting all sneaky and mysterious.

Just as Zhao Rong was mulling this over, the assistant appeared, shuffling over while covered head to toe in bumps and bruises.

Zhao Rong looked him over. ”Did you go out and play the hero again?”

At these words, the assistant started to cry. ”Zhao Rong, I must have had eight lifetimes of bad luck to be your assistant!”

Zhao Rong was completely baffled by his words.

At that moment, Lili walked over. She looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Zhao Rong, I’m going for hot pot after class this afternoon. You’re coming as my bodyguard.”

Flattered by Lili’s unexpected request, Zhao Rong replied, ”Sure, no problem.”

Standing nearby, the assistant watched Lili invite Zhao Rong and said enviously, ”Miss Lili, since you’re going for hot pot, could you take me along too? I can be your bodyguard, just like Zhao Rong!”

Lili glanced at the battered and disheveled assistant. ”You want to be a bodyguard looking like that?” she scoffed. ”Are you going to protect me, or am I going to have to protect you?”

Lili’s words left the assistant speechless.

Zhao Rong was perplexed by Lili’s invitation. Hasn’t Lili always been annoyed with me? Why would she suddenly ask me to be her bodyguard today? he thought.

What Zhao Rong didn’t know was that Lili’s boyfriend, Killer King Wang Jingang, had taken out a high-interest loan to cover medical expenses. Now that Wang Jingang had skipped town, the creditors were coming after Lili for the money. Although Lili had money, she was stubborn. Why should she have to pay her boyfriend’s debts? So, the loan sharks had hired a few thugs to wait for her at the training center’s entrance, looking to make trouble.
