Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 25: Chapter 22: Serpentine Monster, Can Run and Swim

The first night arrived after Zhao Rong moved into the dormitory of the campus belle, Lili. In his entire life, Zhao Rong had never shared a room with a girl, let alone spent the night with one. And now he was about to spend the night in the same room with a top-tier beauty? He felt excited, nervous, and found it completely impossible to relax.

Seeing it had already grown dark outside, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but wonder, How am I going to get through tonight?

Lili’s dormitory originally housed two beauties. Now that the other one had moved out, Lili had pushed the two single beds together to form one large one.

Zhao Rong watched her merge the two small beds and curiously asked, ”Miss Lili, I can just make a bed on the floor. You don’t have to go to all this trouble...”

As he spoke, he couldn’t help but think, Could it be? Tonight, am I really going to... with Lili?

As night fell, Lili started to get nervous. She looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Since you’re my bodyguard, you have to stay with me... That’s the only way you can protect me properly so I can sleep soundly.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong thought in astonishment, Being a beauty’s bodyguard comes with perks like this? If I had known this parallel world was so awesome, I would have transmigrated here much sooner!

He looked at Lili shyly and said, ”Technically, a bodyguard shouldn’t... with his client. But since you’re insisting, Miss Lili, it would be rude to refuse.” With that, he hopped onto the bed.

Lili suddenly drew the curtains. ”Zhao Rong, bolt the door.”

Seeing her draw the curtains and then tell him to lock the door gave him a jolt. He thought, Could Lili really want to... with me this quickly, this soon?

Blushing, he looked at her and said, ”Actually, we could wait until later, when it’s quiet... If we start now and someone drops by, we’d have to stop suddenly. That would be rather awkward.”

Hearing this, Lili shot him a glare. ”Don’t get the wrong idea, Zhao Rong. I asked you to move in here to protect me, not to... do that with me. Don’t you know? The Serpent Monster loves to prowl at night. It comes and goes without a trace and is utterly terrifying. So, for safety’s sake, we must draw the curtains and lock the door.”

Hearing how terrifying the creature was, Zhao Rong asked, ”The Serpent Monster? What exactly is it that you make it sound so mysterious?”

”When it crawls, it looks like a snake,” Lili told him. ”But when it transforms, it becomes a gigantic monster. Its power is incredible, and very few of its targets ever escape.”

Hearing how incredible the Serpent Monster sounded, Zhao Rong was suddenly eager to see it. He wanted to find out what this so-called monster was really like in this parallel world.

At 10:30 PM, Lili yawned and asked Zhao Rong, ”Do you want to shower first, or should I?”

Lili’s dorm had an en-suite bathroom with a translucent glass door. Zhao Rong looked at the glass and sucked in a sharp breath. Bathing in this translucent bathroom... wouldn’t that mean...?

An idea struck him. ”I’m a bit tired today, Miss Lili. I think I’ll skip it. You go ahead.”

Hearing this, Lili went to take her shower. She stripped down to a bikini, and before going into the bathroom, she warned him, ”While I’m showering, you must keep your back to the bathroom. No peeking, you hear me?”

Zhao Rong nodded solemnly. ”Don’t worry, Miss Lili. As your bodyguard, I have my professional integrity. I definitely won’t peek.”

Seeing his earnest and resolute expression, Lili said, ”Okay, I trust you.” With that, she went into the bathroom.

Zhao Rong kept his back to the glass with no intention of peeking. However, once Lili started her shower, he was astonished to discover a mirror on the windowsill directly in front of him, one that was perfectly angled to reflect the translucent glass of the bathroom.

Although Zhao Rong didn’t turn around, the mirror provided him with a live broadcast...

Lili’s figure was truly spectacular, so when she came out of the shower, she was shocked to find him with a nosebleed.

Wrapped in a bath towel, she looked at the blood trickling from his nose and asked, ”Zhao Rong, are you sick? Why is your nose suddenly bleeding?”

Thanks to the mirror, Zhao Rong had already gotten an unobstructed view of Lili’s magnificent figure. Wiping away the blood and swallowing hard, he said, ”It’s nothing. A little nosebleed just means a man has good blood circulation.”

Relieved that he was okay, Lili said, ”You have to be okay, Zhao Rong. I’m relying on you to protect me.”

After wiping his nose clean, Zhao Rong looked at Lili in her towel and declared, ”Don’t worry, Miss Lili. As long as I, Zhao Rong, am in this room, I guarantee your safety.”

Lili’s face lit up. ”Good! Then as long as the Serpent Monster doesn’t come, you can keep living in my dorm and protect me.”

At the prospect of staying in Lili’s dorm indefinitely, Zhao Rong’s nose started bleeding again. He thought, Damn, if I stay here for a year, does that mean I can watch Lili through that mirror on the windowsill every single night...?

Wiping at the fresh trickle of blood, he said, ”If I can really keep living with you, Miss Lili, then I, Zhao Rong, must be the luckiest man alive.”

Lili looked at him, yawned, and said, ”It’s getting late. I’m going to sleep.” With that, she slipped under the covers and undid the towel wrapped around her.

Seeing that she slept in the nude, Zhao Rong was stunned. Is Lili giving me some kind of hint?

He scrambled under the covers as fast as he could. Although they were sharing a bed, Lili drew an imaginary line down the middle, warning that neither of them was allowed to cross it.

Seeing Zhao Rong settled in, she casually switched off the bedside lamp. ”Zhao Rong, I have a habit of sleepwalking. And when I do, I might do some... indecent things. Don’t be alarmed.”

Hearing that she sleepwalked, and remembering that she slept naked, Zhao Rong’s eyes widened. He wondered, Could it be that Lili is continuously hinting at me... suggesting that I should take advantage of her while she’s sleepwalking tonight?
