Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 13: Chapter 12 - Male God, I Want You to Be My Boyfriend

Zhao Rong had always been fond of playing baseball when he was at the training center. Moreover, he was especially famous for his home runs, which involved sending the ball flying out of the ballpark with a single swing.

At that moment, Zhao Rong looked just like a young baseball star. Flying over from the opposite side, preparing to take Zhao Rong down with a sweeping kick, was Sha Yubao, the Muay Thai King, who looked like nothing more than a meatball soaring through the air.

It all happened in a flash. Zhao Rong seized the perfect moment. Before the Muay Thai King could unleash his finishing move, Zhao Rong swung the bat and sent Sha Yubao flying right over the training center’s perimeter wall. After being knocked over the wall, Sha Yubao landed in a manure pit.

He groaned in pain, ”You Chinese are truly formidable. You can secure a surprise victory even without any kung fu.”

Seeing the two masters he had hired get so easily defeated by Zhao Rong, Killer King Wang Jingang felt a cold sweat bead on his forehead. He looked at Sha Yuhu, lying on the ground with a broken arm, then glanced at Sha Yubao, who had flown over the wall and landed in the manure pit. He cursed under his breath, ”What a bunch of useless trash. Looks like I’ll have to handle this myself.”

With that, Killer King Wang Jingang pulled out a hunting rifle and aimed it directly at Zhao Rong.

As he took aim, Wang Jingang thought, Damn it, kid. You think you’re faster than my bullet?

When Zhao Rong saw the rifle, he felt a flicker of fear but still relied on his god-tier speed to snatch it from Wang Jingang’s grasp. In a flash, Zhao Rong used a nearby discus to bend the barrel, then shoved the weapon back into Wang Jingang’s hands. He moved so quickly that Wang Jingang had no time to react. Still aiming at Zhao Rong, he fired and yelled, ”Zhao Rong, die! Let’s see what’s faster, your speed or my bullet!”

When the crowd below saw Killer King Wang Jingang about to shoot Zhao Rong, they all thought he was finished, surely doomed this time.

However, to everyone’s utter surprise, the barrel of Wang Jingang’s rifle was bent at a ninety-degree angle. When he fired, all they heard was a loud BANG. Wang Jingang’s once-fair face was instantly covered in black soot, his stylish hair was blasted into a comical afro, and his designer clothes were blown to tattered rags.

When everyone saw Wang Jingang’s rifle backfire and turn him into a soot-covered caricature, they were stunned for a moment before bursting into roaring laughter.

After dealing with Killer King Wang Jingang, Zhao Rong turned his gaze to the previously arrogant blond punk, who was now completely stunned by Zhao Rong’s skills. Zhao Rong started walking toward him, intending to tell him that as a student, he should focus on his studies instead of getting involved with gangsters.

However, the blond punk thought Zhao Rong was coming over to beat him up. Terrified, he immediately dropped to his knees. ”Big Brother, please don’t hit me... My mom just called. She wants me home for dinner.”

Hearing the punk’s excuse, Zhao Rong burst out laughing. ”I’m not going to hit you, so what are you afraid of? Even though you were with Killer King Wang Jingang’s crew, you never actually attacked. You can go. I’ll let you off.”

Hearing that he was spared, the blond punk turned and bolted. As he ran, he thought, Compared to Sha Yuhu with his broken arm, Sha Yubao in the manure pit, and Killer King Wang Jingang with his soot-blackened face, I’m definitely the lucky one.

However, before he could finish that thought, a baseball bat fell from the sky and struck him square on the head, knocking him unconscious. It turned out that as Zhao Rong had turned toward Killer King Wang Jingang, he’d noticed bloodstains on the bat and casually tossed it behind him. By a sheer fluke, the bat arced through the air and landed squarely on the fleeing blond punk’s head, knocking him out cold.

In the instant before he lost consciousness, the blond punk turned and saw Zhao Rong, who had just thrown the bat. As he collapsed, he thought, I’ve seen liars before, but never one this good. He clearly said he wouldn’t hit me, yet he caught me off guard with a baseball bat and knocked me out. That’s just next-level.

Zhao Rong walked up to Wang Jingang, looked down at him, and said, ”Wang Jingang, didn’t you say you were going to beat me senseless in front of all these people and humiliate me? How is it that I seem to be the one beating you senseless and humiliating you instead?”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s words, all the students below erupted in a wave of thunderous applause and laughter.

Below the stage, Yu Lan watched as Zhao Rong took on four men all by himself and utterly crushed them. Her heart filled with adoration and infatuation. ”My God,” she said, ”Zhao Rong is an absolute titan! He’s so impressive, so masculine... he makes a woman want to give herself to him completely.”

Xuelian also gazed at Zhao Rong, swooning. ”No wonder he couldn’t pull out my sword... No wonder the heavens arranged for him to be my soulmate... It seems love truly is guided by fate... A man as strong as Zhao Rong can surely protect me for a lifetime. He’s definitely worthy of a woman entrusting her life to him.”

While Yu Lan and Xuelian swooned, Wang Jingang’s girlfriend, Lili, was grinding her teeth in a furious rage. She laid into Wang Jingang, screaming, ”Damn it, you’re such a loser! You came here to teach Zhao Rong a lesson, but you got schooled instead. It’s so humiliating! Having a boyfriend like you is a complete disgrace to me, Lili!” With that, she stormed off the field in a huff.

At this point, Killer King Wang Jingang was at his lowest. He watched Zhao Rong approach, glanced at the discus and baseball bat on the ground, and immediately fell to his knees. He tearfully begged for mercy, ”Brother Zhao Rong—no, Grandpa Zhao Rong! Please be merciful! You’re the bigger man, so please spare me! Don’t kill me...”

Looking at Wang Jingang’s sobbing, pathetic state, Zhao Rong found it hard to believe that this was the same arrogant, fearsome assassin who now knelt before him, begging for his life. Knowing when to be merciful, he helped Wang Jingang up and said, ”To be honest, I don’t want to be your enemy, nor do I want to hurt you. I just want to win over your girlfriend, Lili, and share a bed with her...”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s words, Wang Jingang cursed inwardly, Damn it. He wants to steal my girlfriend and sleep with her, but he still has the gall to say he doesn’t want to be my enemy or hurt me. What a goddamn hypocrite.

Though fuming inside, Wang Jingang still managed a subservient tone. ”Brother, this is all my fault, one hundred percent. If you let me go this one time, I swear I’ll turn over a new leaf.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong glanced at the men he had injured, concerned about their medical fees. ”As long as you cover the medical bills for these guys, I’ll let you off the hook.”

Wang Jingang immediately thumped his chest in assurance. ”Brother Zhao Rong, that’s no problem at all! Just let me go, and I’ll make sure these three buffoons get the best care. You won’t have to pay a single cent!”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”Alright, thanks then.”

Before he could even finish speaking, the beautiful female students in the crowd swarmed the stage like a crazed mob. All of them were shouting, ”My handsome god, I want you to be my boyfriend!”
